Caltracs Traction Bars - How They Work

Caltracs on my '69 Camaro. Best bolt on traction bars on the market. I preload both sides 1/2 turn with no traction problems.

Why do people always say the pinion gear tries to climb the ring gear instead of just saying trying to rotate the tires forward makes the rear end rotate backwards? Since that’s actually the force that is shifting the pinion angle.

Because technically that is what is happening internally and causing the actions you noted.
