On my long tours I use 2 batteries also - one on the bike and one spare - I carry a long extension cord so I can charge them both at the same time when at a stop. I run the on bike battery down to about 10 to 20 percent then swap it out. The batteries charge faster when they are used and charged in their respective mid ranges. Near full and near empty charges much more slowly. It may be the difference between picking up enough enough watt/hrs to continue travel after a lunch break vs having to stop for the night.
What a relaxing journey. I especially liked hearing your stories and observations during the ride. It's inspiring me to do a bike tour from New Jersey to Delaware. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your really nice comments they are much appreciated. New Jersey to Delaware sounds like a nice route remember and record it to UA-cam so I can share your experience and journey. Regards, Bob.
Hi thanks for commenting. The bike is a pedal assist and in the UK this limits the motor to provide only 15mph, beyond that it’s up to your own effort on the pedals. My normal speed on the flat is about 20-25 mph but going downhill have reached 40mph. The bike of course is like any other bike and going downhill the steeper the descent the faster you go. 40mph however was fast enough for me but it was exhilarating. Regards, Bob.
Great video. really enjoyed the scenery, I'm currently building an Ebike using a full carbon fibre cycle, can I ask what AH battery you were using? I'm using a trailer to carry all my camping equipment instead of paniers and racks.
Thank you for sharing your trip across beautiful country.
Hi It’s really nice that you are still watching out for my uploads and giving some feedback and comment (whoever you are 😊)

Nice Video.👍🏾
I should add, that range is with no cargo, big heavy bike, heavy me and lowest level of assist with me doing a lot of pedaling.
I enjoyed, peaceful ride. What maximum speed has that bike?😊

My bike battery is 14AH and I only get around 30 miles to a charge.
I would want to stay at a hotel.
