Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think it's great you are committed to finding your mom. Have you tried the.adoptipn agencies or any DNA tests?

Some people are not meant to be parents even when they adopt children

Amanda, you are such a lovely young woman. I am so sorry that you were never shown love and support from your adoptive family. You are so amazing and resilient-it's incredible that you are so successful. My husband and I have a beautiful daughter who was born in Korea. She is having a very difficult time and I'm wondering if some of the challenges come from her never feeling connected to us. She will be 18 in a few months and I feel it might be helpful for her to find the missing piece of herself with a birth family search. Your video helped me think about the importance of the search.

Thank you for your kind words. I am sorry that your daughter may be experiencing confusion about herself. My sister, also adopted from Korea does not feel the need to locate her birth parents. She was adopted at age 3.I think as long as you provide love and support, she will appreciate the journey together rather than doing it alone. Keep your head up, when times get rough you can make it through them as long as you support one another. Thank you so much for your message. I can relate to what your daughter may be going through. It will all work out in the end, since she has you to support her.

It depends on a lot of variables. My adoption search was very quick, I have talked to other adoptees and their's took a long time or is still unresolved. A lot of the small adoption agencies dissolved and paperwork was lost or falsified which makes things difficult. I find myself very luck but finding your family it just the first hurdle. The cultural differences can be very hard and misunderstandings are frequent but even with all of the problems I still feel very blessed about finding my family.

We are not exactly sure how she is doing.... we know that she needs surgery but the family doesn't want to "burden" us with the details.

One of my best friends is adopted and recently started thinking about this in her 30's. I'm watching through your whole playlist. Thank you so much for everything. You two are wonderful and beautiful people for doing this.

Thank you for your comment. I would definitely encourage you to support your friend. It's an emotional process not knowing what you will find out, but it's so worth it. I learned so much about myself and why I am the way I am. Thank you for your compliments. Sorry the videos are pretty dry.
