Idk I feel doing everything at home ruins the experience I like waking up getting dressed and crawling out my tent with my knife and helping prep breakfast
Sounds like you are an adult camping with adults, this is geared for family camping, when the adults are cooking breakfast and trying to ensure their preschooler doesnt wander off into the woods. Reducing prep and clean up matters when only 2 of the 5 people can be fully responsible for cook and clean up and the helpers need your help to help you.
Life hack: my family takes non-perishable dinners that will stay good and make them BEFORE we go. All we have to do when we get to our campsites is heat them up! It’s a lot easier!
Professional Chef - you used the cutting board that is color coded for vegetables for your meat and your meat board for your vegetables as well as recommending baking a potato in foil and then keeping that potato in the foil until you reheat it which now leaves you at a major risk for food poisoning.
Camping is the wilderness! All you need is: Food: Hot dogs, corn, bread, fruits, bacon, rice, water and soda Gear: Matches, wood, utensils, paper plates, a knife, a tent, an inflatable mattress or sleeping bag, a lamp and clothes
Ah, yes. Let's go camping and enjoy the beauty of nature with our fifty thousand plastic bags and other environmentally destructive single use items. 🙄
They didn't soak the skewers in water before grilling that way it prevents them turning black. 😉 just some helpful advice from your neighborhood friendly spider-gir.. I mean chef 👩🍳
Cook your jacket spud for ten minutes in the microwave first. Let it cool, then wrap it. You just cut your fire roast time from over an hour to around fifteen minutes. You can add seasoning, herbs, finely chopped peppers to your eggs but make sure that they don't freeze in the cooler as it affects their consistency.
Has anybody seen those portable protein shake mixing cups? I think that’d be a better idea for the eggs just to give it another quick mix before cooking.
Okay so that meat definitely didn't look like it had been frozen before they packed it. Also you shouldn't store a potato that has been cooked in foil, it is a breeding ground for botulism because of a low oxygen environment
My husband was a boy scout and when he went camping, he would toss a wrapped potato in the fire and let it cook and had steaks ready to cook that had been thawed from home.
Why am I watching this. 1 I have never been camping, 2 I hate being outdoors. Because I just have bad luck with mosquitos every single time I walk out my door. Literally I’m the only one in my family that’s attacked by bugs. I was the only one that was wearing bug repellent and I was the only one bit. LIKE THATS NOT HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO WORK 😭😭😭
How long would this prep food last? We go camping for roughly two weeks straight and live off strickley food coming out of cooliers Would you only give this food 24 to 48 hours?
Yes, definitely. We should of course bring meat while camping in the wilderness. There will definitely be no wild animal that would like to share it with us :)
You really shouldnt use a pill case for storing spices. If it is already used some powder from the pills could transfer into the spices. And who really needs spices on a camping trip?
Title: 10 Food Prep Hacks For Camping What the title should be: We're going to show you how to make a kebab with the same process but with different ingredients a million times
Yes, pre-cutting an onion is the best idea ever, extremely clever. Really. Top notch. And why not bake the potato at home, and then roast it again (holding it), instead of putting it raw, wrapped in foil, into the ash, and let the heat do it's thing like a sane camper/hiker ;)
That's a fair point, I agree. However I did take that into consideration, looking at the whole segment as one, so making scrambled eggs, skewers etc. If you consider this as a whole "party" it means, that there was a lot of time for the potatoes to cook. And provided the heat in the ash rises high enough, it doesn't take more than 20 mins to bake them ;)
That pill case idea is GENIUS!!!!
If you're gonna do the egg-in-a-water-bottle trick, label it EGGS so no one accidentally drinks it thinking it's OJ
😂
I can see myself thinking its OJ and drinking raw eggs 😂😂😂
Do you say this from experience ?
MLP-Violet-Star *Instant salmonella*
I know it looks just like oj lol 😆
I don't go camping but I'm still watching this.

Life hack: my family takes non-perishable dinners that will stay good and make them BEFORE we go. All we have to do when we get to our campsites is heat them up! It’s a lot easier!
you are taking away the whole idea! Camping is living in the wild and that include cooking.....
Professional Chef - you used the cutting board that is color coded for vegetables for your meat and your meat board for your vegetables as well as recommending baking a potato in foil and then keeping that potato in the foil until you reheat it which now leaves you at a major risk for food poisoning.
camping food or feast?

Yes, because trash cans don't exist on camp sites, and it's not ppl don't bring their own trash bags
Ziplock bags are reusable tho???
They used ziplock bags for most things in this video

But the best way is chard
I’m a person that says "Stop using plastic!”
I use plastic everyday!

Gonna make trail mix ideas. Thank you. Subbed.
this is so convenient because im going camping in a couple weeks !
So many people are like “ okay let’s just ruin the environment and plastic bag everything”
I live in Denmark and most Places have a Kitchen at The campsite😎
But this is a really Great idea
Making your own trail mix? Wow that seems too hard for me.
Use less plastic bags or atleast don't use a large bag for a small item.
#SaveOurPlanetEarth
#SaveOurPlantEarth!!
Do you use beeswax wraps? Well, if not, then quit complaining. Some people don't like everything mixed in one bag. Big friggin' whoop.
Okay so that meat definitely didn't look like it had been frozen before they packed it. Also you shouldn't store a potato that has been cooked in foil, it is a breeding ground for botulism because of a low oxygen environment
I'm confused on the coffee did you drop the pouch into boiling water?

Mackenzie Powell yuuuuup!!!!!! #takecareoftheEARTH
Perhaps using Tupperwares would be better to store food. Can even buy a tiffin to save space. That way, no plastic involved.
Use reusable Mason jars instead of plastic bags. Or glass Tupperware. Or even plastic Tupperware as long as its reusable.
Love them saucy hands
These are very good ideas😃
All this single use plastic on this account is killing the earth, and my love for humans.

Wait do flour and water make pancakes?!
But what if the bears or some wild animal come and try to take your meat lmao
First rule of camping don’t bring chocolate ( or gummy candy). The rest is nice 👍🏼
Why does this show up when I just came back from camping.
Why me....
all the people who are commenting about the amount of plastic used in this video are the same people who use plastic the same way as them

Imagine if someone drank the eggs, thinking it was orange juice or whatever.
That'd be funny.
Just go camping in a caravan .
Trust me you don’t need to use 3 billion plastic bags.
