Good tips. For camping, I’d put the salads in zip lock bags with a snack size bag of dressing inside. Mason jars are heavy and non-collapsible. For camping it’s great to have containers that “disappear” when you’re done leaving you more space

I suggest removing the cardboard core in bathrm tissue and pull the tissue from the center. Can also be done with paper towels so the core doesn't soak up the body wash

the little containers from applesauce fit into the top of the mason jar without falling in. You can put one in, put some dressing in, then put the lid on as usual. no need to buy separate containers. May need the wide mouth jars, i forget, but I have the set up downstairs, just never did it! lol

Ok, am I the only one who doesn't get mason jar salads? Can you eat them out of the jar? It seems like you can't, which means you need something to dump the salad into so you can eat it. It's kind of silly, I'd rather just put them in a container I can eat out of.
maybe you could just mix all the ingredients together, but like Rachel did, separate the dressing and put it in a different container. That way your salad is already mixed but not soggy and you can pour the dressing over it and stir it only a bit and it´s easier to eat that way :)

it's wonderful to see Oliver playing with legos and all your diy toys and activities instead of being glued to a tablet or iPad like most children nowadays. it's refreshing to see that after seeing kids at a restaurants not talking to anyone while being glued to a noisy bright and colorful iPad

Yes! I have always wondered what the point is.
Yeh. It's a tad difficult but doable. I thought the soup was easier for sure, but also had to wait for it to cool down a bit to hold it and eat.
