What a great roundup of such fabulous makes, lovely😍really need the Pleiades and Shelby dresses in my life having seen your gorgeous ones and the Fitzroy blouse inspired to make my own version and I wasn’t disappointed🥰thanks as always for your wonderful content and I’m looking forward to seeing the knitting collection! Ooh that reminds me, I need to make the knitting bag up too….you’re such an enabler😉🥰🤣xx
That’s quite an accomplishment for one year! your makes turned out beautifully and you have tempted me into making the cargo pants and possible a few other patterns that you’ve used during 2023.
Thank you so much Isobel. The cargo pants are a great pattern and I love the fit. I love doing these yearly roundups and looking at other vloggers for inspiration. I do find I have a ever increasing makes list though 😂🥰
Bloomin' 'eck! What a productive 2023. Very impressive. Love the declaration that you won't buy fabric this year unless you really NEED it lol. That comment will haunt you :D :D :D Mohair!!!! I'm already feeling itchy just thinking about it. Glad you had a week of rest and relaxation even if life is back to normal now lol. Happy New Year and one filled with more of your wonderful vlogs. P xxxxxxxxxx
Thank you gorgeous. I don’t think I’d made that much last year but I love doing these annual roundups just to see how much I did sew. No fabric bought… so far 😂 xxx
Thanks for showing all your makes; you made so many!. It is very helpful to read honest reviews and see the makes on. I don’t like to hear that projects are fails. You may find tissue fitting and measuring the flat pattern against a garment you liked will prevent fitting fails (Zadie Jumpsuit top). Fabric is expensive and you have some beautiful ones. Would you consider a video showing how to alter your fails into something wearable? I am a retired high school sewing teacher and have had to rescue many garments.
You are very welcome Elaine. Thank you for your comment. Hopefully there won’t be as many fails in the future, but I’m very happy to show how I alter them. 🥰
Love your ambitious makes, your sense of humor. You inspire me. I’ve just got to make that Shelby Dress, it’s just perfect on you! Thank for sharing all your makes and thoughts. Hugs from Oregon.
Lovely makes and I am so glad to see a version of the ruffle shirt by Trend Patterns - your version is absolutely stunning and now I really want to make one as I have had this pattern sitting on my shelf for so long! Your Shelby dress is also very beautiful!
You accomplished a lot of sewing last year! I recently went through my stash and realized I have enough for my lifetime! Im with you- time to start using it!
I love how experimental you are with your makes. Some of them are deliciously different. One thing I have taken away from this vlog is that I need to keep better records of my makes. The second take away is that I need to sew up the patterns I have bought and not yet used. I have a few of the patterns you've mentioned, but I haven't made them. I, too, tend to stick to pattern designers that I am comfortable with as I know their block fits me. This year I am determined to try new to me designers and I have made a start by purchasing the Emma Dress by Designer Stitch. I just need to find some less expensive viscose jersey for a toile, having already purchased enough expensive fabric for the final dresses. Me thinks that's the wrong way around to do it :-)
Thank you so much Bren. I’ve tried to use some patterns I already had in my stash last year but I do get a little side tracked sometimes with the new ones ! 😂xx
Hi Andie, Happy new year 🎉,great vlog , loved seeing all your makes , you have got a lot made with sewing and knitting, I do both and they do take time. With the craze for handspun yarn I’ve taken up spinning too 🙄 mad I know. Love your choice of different pattern companies, I follow them as well but have never noticed the Fitzroy blouse before , both of yours versions are lovely, on to my wish list it goes ! I have the same problem with Tilly patterns, Bridget
Happy New Year. Lots of wonderful makes even if not all were a complete success, every make is a learning curve! After all my chat with you about knitting and circular needles early last year I have finally started my Whitmoor sweater and I’m really enjoying it. It’s not perfect and looks a little small but as a first circular attempt I’m really pleased with how it’s going.
Hi Andre, I loved your roundup of makes , you have been very productive in 2023, I loved your honesty about the “fails” too , it’s how we all improve 👏👏 Could you tell me what the fabric is for the beautiful blouse you’re wearing in the video, it really suits you!! Happy sewing in 2024♥️
Hi Jill and thank you for your lovely comment. The fabric is one of my favourites. It’s a lady McElroy called secret garden. The pattern is the atelier Jupe Emma Blouse. I hope that helps x
i also am not keen on Tilly Patterns, Love the Fitzroy Blouse I need this pattern added to my list. those cargos are gorgeous, i need them in my life xx
Thank you so much, I’m glad it’s not just me who struggles a little with the Tilly patterns. The cargo pants are a great make, I really enjoyed making them 🥰
Hi Andie, What fabulous makes in lovely fabrics! You inspired me to make cargoes (love notions largos) and I’m definitely planning the Shelby dress for spring. I’m also inspired by your knitting and am thinking of knitting the Seacross sweater by the fibre co in Lore. It will be my first proper colour work sweater, what do you think? I’m currently knitting socks and have the Hearten cardigan on the needles, which is going well. I just fancy working with colour next. Have you worked with any Fibre Co patterns or yarns?
Hi Clare. Thank you for your lovely comment. I’ve used a couple of yarns by the Fibre co. I made the Kappa shawl in Luma and a ranunculus in the Cumbria and loved both of them. Next on the needles is the Super Selene by Anne Ventzel which has some colourwork across the yolk. So many pattern in my ravelry queue!! 🥰
That’s the one. I think you said it was easier than the Ranunculus and used less yarn 🤔? I’ll go back and have another look before I get the pattern and the yarn. I loved the vlogmas advent calendar from your sister and the trip you did to the yarn manufacturer for the dying. Will definitely look at that one again too… 😘 xx
Happy New Year, it was great to be reminded of all your makes. The True Bias Shelby dress is my favourite! Love the fabric, can you remember what it is?
Thank you so much. The fabric is a lady McElroy cotton lawn but I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the fabric design. If I do find it I will let you know 🥰
The Lady McElroy fabric blouse with the big ruffles is just too big for you and the ruffles just swallow you up. I think if you take it in and reduce the size of the ruffles, or remove them altogether if you don't like them, and it will be a really nice blouse. You were really busy! I hardly did any sewing since spring of last year. I took a bit of a holiday from sewing since I did a whole bunch of pattern testing for a year or two before that and replaced it with knitting and crocheting instead. But I'm ready to start up again now.
Thank you Linda I agree. I do like the fabric but it really doesn’t so much for me! I find it hard to juggle both knitting and sewing as I only have so much time to dedicate to each one. At the moment knitting is taking over a little! 🥰
@@soandiesews I did the same thing. I found that I could just grab my knitting to do in the car as my husband was driving, or if I had a few spare minutes and it was quick and easy to pick up and put away. At the moment, my sewing room is in our bedroom, so everything has to be taken out and put away and if I only have a few minutes, it's not worth it, unless I have a whole day to sew.
Very fun to watch thank you!
You are very welcome Sandra 🥰
My first vlog of yours - what a great presentation of your makes. I am now firmly subscribed 🙂
Thank you so much Ann, it’s lovely to have you here 🥰
Thank you for sharing all your beautiful makes ! Happy Sewing 2024!
Thank you so much Jackie 🥰
I enjoyed your video - lots of great makes! I really like the Pleiades dress on you - will give that pattern another look.
Thank you so much Kate 🥰
Well done
Thank you so much 🥰

Lots of beautiful makes.

Thank you Jenni. I do love the fabric but not the ruffles so much 🥰
Happpy New Year Andie! Great to look back on all that you've made in the last 12 months - thanks for sharing.

Hi Elaine. Thank you for the suggestion. I have found it and it’s the I Am Patterns Irma blouse x
