Please test the 2022 with the Kinomatic Posture Control when it becomes available. Interested to know if you can notice it working, especially as you've had lots of sliding time in this one. Or maybe it's a gimmick that will just wear out the rear pads faster? You tell us! Loads of proper info in this video. And the red looks great. Thanks guys!
Thanks for the video, I have just order the exact same car and colour in the updated ND3. Given the body roll, would you fit firmer springs and sway bars?
Wowow man wowwo incredible driving skills , and this circuit is amazing!! Mx5 will be my next car in 2023,please test the new kinematic control system!
If you drive both, the 1.5 is still the pick of the bunch. The chassis was originally built around the lighter engine. Loves to rev even more than the new 2.0 and will slide around just as much! It forces you to row through the gears and in turn is even more fun! There is a reason the JDM have it as their main offering!
if you have it slide accidentally, it can be hard to catch. If you induce the slide, you can catch it much easier. The MX5 traction control is overly intrusive.
Paul : when the rear starts to slide you must accelerate gently and counter steer to move the front of the car. You have to find the balance between steering angle and how much throttle to apply depending on the situation.
Going : if you want less body roll you will have to replace 2 things : the 4 springs and the 2 sway bars. But take advice from a professional because modifying those , you can totally mess up the balance of your car and it will be horrible to drive !!! Mx-5 is meant to be a fun car because the soft suspension makes it very easily playful ! Mx-5 is not meant to be a lap time attack machine.
Mx-5 is the genuine driver's car. GR86 is more serious and less fun. Fiesta is a front wheel drive, that's vomit compared to the high-end chassis of the MX-5. Just take a look at the videos on the youtube channel of "savageese" . You will learn a lot about those cars. Chassis wise and engine and dynamics. Thank me later and have a good time.
This and all the other reviews suggest is a wonderful car, but is it really a better drivers car than a Caterham with only 60% of the weight? Or even TVR with similar weight and a great deal more torque and that awesome V8 noise?

Got a I20N yet?
GR86 please, do it just like this video ❤
Please test the 2024 *ND3* MX-5 GT RS. This 2nd refresh has some interesting mechanical improvements. Thanks!
Probably the best driving car journalist in Australia. Looks so much at home when sliding around that thing.
So much fun watching you sliding it on the track.
great review and finally somebody is driving this thing like it is intended to! great driving skills
No kidding. Drifting in an MX takes some genuine skill
Great review and nice that you talk through the finesse of driving approach, adjusting the balance through the corners etc 👌
Absolutely fantastic review mate. Sad to hear the demise of Motor
I learned so many things just watching this episode.
Looks like so much fun. If my long torso would fit in one it would be in my garage. Had a smile on my face watching this the whole time. Love it

MX5 is just so brilliant
Awesome driving of an awesome car !

Would have been great if we could have seen the pedals in action, gear and speedometer.
This makes me want to get rid of the super sticky tires on mine.

Hard to disagree. The 1.5 is still fantastic, which makes it all the sadder that it’s now been discontinued in Australia
sadly they don t offer the 1.5L eith the LSD :/
@@mrT-gx5bq They do in Australia thankfully. However i have replaced the standard one with a Cusco which is much better anyway.
This looked like so much fun.
This is the best Miata video
Wow you really had a blast driving it!
Waiting for those BRZ/86 Bois and gal's like o_O
Can you do the same kind of driving in the MX-5 without the LSD?
nice driving
Fantastic !!!
Fiesta st please.
Fiesta is front wheel drive. This is 🤮
I used to seeing Japanese nuggets on this track so much over the years lmao. Shoutout MCM
Great car.
Should I learn with traction control off? I can’t seem to catch the rear end when it slides.

alignment, check if it's neutral
this car is for driving enthusiasts
So a new gen ND Clubman -without the terrible bilsteins?
?

This, a fiesta st or a gr86?
There's a 1st world problem

Bro it's faster than a 2019 gt 86

Catheram is only a track toy. You are very vulnerable on the open roads in this tiny thing.
@@lensoprezole5322 Hi Lenso, Caterhams are a lot of fun on the road, treat traffic as if you are a biker :)
Dear Mazda, if you're reading this and have one on the Brisbane fleet, please let me sample.
You funny 😂
I'm not impressed you're driving a go-cart on a go-cart track.
Your comment is pointless. This is a 180 hp car for the road. Not a 600hp D1 Grand prix drift machine. Childish ret, ard.
you just described most mountain roads in my country
