    Looks like so much fun. If my long torso would fit in one it would be in my garage. Had a smile on my face watching this the whole time. Love it

    Please test the 2022 with the Kinomatic Posture Control when it becomes available. Interested to know if you can notice it working, especially as you've had lots of sliding time in this one. Or maybe it's a gimmick that will just wear out the rear pads faster? You tell us! Loads of proper info in this video. And the red looks great. Thanks guys!

    Thanks for the video, I have just order the exact same car and colour in the updated ND3. Given the body roll, would you fit firmer springs and sway bars?

    If you drive both, the 1.5 is still the pick of the bunch. The chassis was originally built around the lighter engine. Loves to rev even more than the new 2.0 and will slide around just as much! It forces you to row through the gears and in turn is even more fun! There is a reason the JDM have it as their main offering!

    • @scottnewman3126
      @scottnewman3126 2 роки тому +3

      Hard to disagree. The 1.5 is still fantastic, which makes it all the sadder that it’s now been discontinued in Australia

    Should I learn with traction control off? I can’t seem to catch the rear end when it slides.

    • @johnzhu5735
      @johnzhu5735 Рік тому

      if you have it slide accidentally, it can be hard to catch. If you induce the slide, you can catch it much easier.
      The MX5 traction control is overly intrusive.

    • @lensoprezole5322
      @lensoprezole5322 Рік тому

      Paul : when the rear starts to slide you must accelerate gently and counter steer to move the front of the car. You have to find the balance between steering angle and how much throttle to apply depending on the situation.

    • @lensoprezole5322
      @lensoprezole5322 Рік тому

      Going : if you want less body roll you will have to replace 2 things : the 4 springs and the 2 sway bars. But take advice from a professional because modifying those , you can totally mess up the balance of your car and it will be horrible to drive !!! Mx-5 is meant to be a fun car because the soft suspension makes it very easily playful ! Mx-5 is not meant to be a lap time attack machine.

    This, a fiesta st or a gr86?
    There's a 1st world problem

    • @lensoprezole5322
      @lensoprezole5322 Рік тому

      Mx-5 is the genuine driver's car. GR86 is more serious and less fun. Fiesta is a front wheel drive, that's vomit compared to the high-end chassis of the MX-5. Just take a look at the videos on the youtube channel of "savageese" . You will learn a lot about those cars. Chassis wise and engine and dynamics. Thank me later and have a good time.

    This and all the other reviews suggest is a wonderful car, but is it really a better drivers car than a Caterham with only 60% of the weight? Or even TVR with similar weight and a great deal more torque and that awesome V8 noise?

    • @lensoprezole5322
      @lensoprezole5322 Рік тому

      Catheram is only a track toy. You are very vulnerable on the open roads in this tiny thing.
