- Nearly time for Christmas and we're on a road trip down the dramatic East coast of the South Island of New Zealand, en-route to Ōtautahi Christchurch, exploring the Alpine Pacific Touring Route from an absolute fave, Kaikoura down to our old haunts in the Waimakariri!
We eat wayyy tooo much, get up close with more marine life, nearly get blown away in 200km/h winds, and discover a neat lil NZMCA Park and spend some time in lovely Kaiapoi!!

so many seals on that drive to kaikoura aye... We enjoyed ward beach would have been awesome with the Rough sea. That wind was out of control aye, so intense.

Love Kaikoura. I swam with the dolphins there and it was a bucket list item ticked off 🐬

Window peepers... or as I like to call them 'curtain twitchers'. We like to sit outside if the weather is good and you can be sure that I'd be joining you if I saw you (but I'd have my glass of wine in hand).
