Lovely film. I was luck enough to visit New Zealand in 1992 for 4 weeks and loved the country, What a fantastic house your friend has overlooking the Bay of Islands.
It’s really fantastic even with 5 rooms and a pool one level down and it might even be for sale….

Enjoy sailing in NZ with the challenging weather, the remoteness, raw beauty and little surprises along the way. As New Zealanders and new sailing/cruisers of 5 years we have seen a different side of our country via water and love every minute we are onboard. Thanks for sharing your stories.

It’s not summer in New Zealand yet. The warmer weather doesn’t start until January in general, but the warmest months are February and March.
@@taniac1860 Kek...C'mon Kiwi m8, NZ doesn't get a real summer. This video reminds me of the 6 summers I spent at Mt Maunganui. The last summer's 16* average temp was enough for me to move to Queensland...lowering NZ's IQ in the process 🤣
New Zealand is a beautiful place. It's on my list of places to visit.

I just found your channel, I love it so does my wife, we're in the market for a catamaran and an Outremer at that we have a four-year wait though so we just have to carry on with our current boat. Hope to see more of your amazing content, keep up the good work.
With so many slots sold you might get lucky and get an earlier one. Especially if you’re aiming at the less popular ones in the European fall or winter
Great to see my home country again.. I have t been home to New Zealand in over three years (Covid and other reasons) unfortunately it’s spring and there for a lot of unsettled weather.

Spring in NZ can be challenging 😄 can expect any and all type of weather, even on the same day, but will get better and better 👍😄 Looks like you’re having a great time though 👍

Especially if you compare the latitude to the northern hemisphere it’s incredibly cold and rainy, the kiwis say this is not normal for them

No pictures allowed here in the comments but a Tokyo Mule in 8 in Whangarei costs 18 dollars (nzd). Really hope this will help you in your decision to come over or not
