I remember buying Jean Paul Gaultier in the early 90s and getting that 5:52 Junior Gaultier paper bag as the shop bag to put your purchases in. I never fully appreciated how amazing it was at the time.

My wife had a handbag from the local saddler. Far better than a Birkin bag. There was no song and dance about it.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅
I found the exhibition very disappointing. There was a huge area upstair well lit with barely any exhibits. The bags were all crammed on top of each other in a poorly lit area crowded with people. To further amplify the poor layout there was a loose panel on the wall which closed part of the exhibition space. 5 minutes and a rawlplug would have fixed it.
What is this phenomenon with the $6000 bags these days? I think it’s the strangest baloney ever created by humans.

Her accent is too hard to understand. The V & A should be more user friendly.
She's the woman who curated the show lol... It's like if a foreign movie star went on a chat show in your country, you're not gonna ask for a body double just because of their accent right?
I could understand her easily ... and I am not a native English speaker... besides you could turn on subtitles.
The curator is fabulous, her accent is lovely, and you should be more polite.
