I made the IP macaroni and cheese recipe that you mentioned subbing some ingredients with what I had on hand and then added in a cup of sour cream that needed to be used...quick and delicious comfort food!

Thanks for your vlogs! I make Carla Hall/ Sam Champions Mac & cheese… it’s the ultimate! It’s was always a favorite on snow days, I’d make it in a large deep pan and we’d eat it throughout the day. I think I’ll make it this weekend:) Merry Christmas!
Twixmas is the best! Especially the eating.
The only time I had roasted chestnuts is when I lived in Korea. In the fall, street vendors would roast them in the evening. When you purchased the chestnuts they were served in wooden bowls. You could then walk and eat them. When finished you would return the bowl to the vendor.
I always looked forward to this fall treat. It was the only time I saw people buy food and walk and eat it. It was considered rude to walk and eat food outdoors. So this brought back a very nice memory for me.
I’ve made and froze dough for earl grey tea cookies. Omg, they are so good and toss ingredients in food processor.

I think a slow Christmas is such a gift to yourself! I'm enjoying one myself this year. I have plans to watch the newest Little Women tomorrow for my birthday! I haven't watched it since it came out at the theatre. What was I thinking??

Hi Sandy. If you happen to have a KitchenAid stand mixer, buy the Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder attachment for it. It is so worth the money, especially with all of the cooking that you do. It breezes through cheese and clean-up is easy. 😊

Sandy our Costco sells packages of roasted chestnuts this time of year. They come in a box with multiple packages inside. I find them around the canned nuts and
snacks. Maybe yours does too. I stock up on them this time of year. Loving your vlogmas!!!

I enjoy watching your vlogmas podcasts Sandy and your makes during the year. However youtalk so much about making lists, journals and planners for all you do...this takes up time..why not use this time just to do the stuff you need to do. I too love cooking and baking. You have a beautiful home and lovely family so I hope you manage to get through all those jobs and chores you keep talking about and be able to have a lovely Christmas.
Thanks! The lists help me manage everything that needs to be done and don’t really take that long to make. I also love making lists and always have.
I stop to talk about them for vlogmas because it’s a part of the process I know a lot of people are interested in. The most time consuming part of my December is truly filming, editing and uploading… and replying to comments daily. ☺️

It's not much of a recipe, I just drizzle olive oil, salt, pepper, dried oregano and dried parsley over potatoes, place my favourite Italian sausage on top and roast until golden brown (I use convection bake 385 for about 35-45 minutes).
