    Great hacks/tips here, love it.
    1. Poll readers (I would go for popular books)
    2. 4.5 stars or higher
    3. Read through the 3 star most helpful reviews
    4. Look for patten in where those books fail
    5. That's the space you can go in

One of the best videos, if not the best I've seen for anyone with a start-up business or thinking about creating one. There is invaluable information; even if you have not read anything on business watching this video gives you enough tools (obvious hint: write down all of the questions they ask and apply them to your own start up) to get started and if you actually answer the questions & answer them honestly you are way ahead of the game. A MUST WATCH.Many thanks to Tim Ferris & Noah Kagan!

The opportunity to have a strategy sitdown with Noah and Tim would be immense, but it seemed that either of the entrepreneurs on the coach seemed to appreciate how beneficial this was. Perhaps it's tougher to be gracious when you're in the hot seat.

Lawl at the people complaining that Noah is egotistical and a big bad meanie. He wasn't being mean, he was being objective. The first guy with the toothbrushes was giving "playing business" answers and Noah was getting him to say what he needed to say in order to help shift his mindset because it wasn't in the right place. As for Jane saying this isn't practical: carry on. You're doing well.

Good job for Tim recognizing in the moment that the toothbrush guy was feeling uneasy. He jumped in and removed the tension. Empathy.

the Cradle to Cradle and bio-mimicry movements forward the idea that almost EVERYTHING we use (including architecture, cars, daily products) need 2 B redesigned & re-engineered such that a product's entire lifespan (production, use, & disposal) creates a net GAIN for the environment -- sparking a new industrial revolution (providing new jobs in every sector). I think the tag line on the toothbrush needs 2B "CHANGING THE WORLD, ONE SMILE AT A TIME" made sweeter by the social responsibility aspect

With the toothbrush guy, I was a little hung up about the plan that they came up with to sell them using his email address based on the fact that it was the tactile experience that sold it to Tim . People online can't have the tactile experience so would it really sell?

I watched this vid and I went on to watch a lot of his previous vids, mostly done with Neville Medhora. Man! I must say it was enlightening.
This guy Noah is super smart. Bad luck for FB, I guess.
He seems a little casual for a businessman but when it comes to understanding and breaking down a biz to its core simpler parts, the guy really knows his shit.
He has built businesses based on his impressive intellect and hard-earned practical experience.

57:27 - I actually like this idea. Legal requirements aside, the site could function as a registry to get people funding for a down payment instead of gifts. I’m not sure the play is charging for the service, but rather lead generation for realtors, or even charging realtors for ad space on the site.

He was very confusing, I don't even know if he wants it to be a company or a charity or some mix of it. He spent 9 months all he did was "meeting a dentist". The guy needs some time management skills I guess

  • @JohnnyMichaelDepp

With that toothbrush idea, i could further make the product more personable to people. For example having allowing people to CREATE their toothbrush using different colors and materials used to make the toothbrush, have their name or the logo of their business on it & send the packaged product sent to the buyer with three replaceable "brushes", small paperweight designed of own logo, neatly packaged in special cardboard box instead of hard transparent plastic pack. The product could have lot of different approaches to how to make it PERSONABLE, rather than just a cause of charity.
    WOULD YOU..... buy that?
*Have customers given a special paste for every 5 replacement brushes purchase.

I can't get if you're being ironic but there's a time in the interview where Tim clearly says "nooo" as in "stop mopping the floor with the guy's face, he is a human being". The guy was a train wreck but Noah didn't need to be like that, really

Biodegradable tooth brushes, just a hunch but should't the price point on the tooth brush be rather high with a marketing promise that by purchasing one, several will be given to those in third world countries. If your market is the middle aged globally focused high middle class woman, then a tooth brush shouldn't be cheap, it should cost more. That way someone must make the mental jump that means the customer is making a sacrifice to help someone else. But once someone makes that sacrifice and finds the product to be of high quality they will feel great about it, not just because the product is good but because they were able to help someone.
I can't pay $50 for a toothbrush, but I will by one for $5-10. Because remember you need to buy at toothbrush every several months.

good stuff but i think more focus should be spent on their real backgrounds.. he spent $100,00 and stuff didn't work? who has $100,000 sitting around? another rich kid telling his rags to riches story while leaving out the safety net details

I"M ONLY AT 21:26 dude and I can see because I"m an outsider that you should sell the one of wooden toothbrush the opposite of throw a away! Folks want a lasting product a unique useful not going into trash and use that funding to then send toothbrushes to 3rd world. Done. I dont' know yet wha tthey are gonna tell u. But what I'm getting is-we can be too close to our idea and NOT SEE THE EASY ANSWER.

  • @stevegags9636

The second guy trying to make a scary app is 100% the definition of a WANTREPRENEUR. Look at his body language the entire video. Makes himself small, sits far away on the couch, minimal eye contact. I have a hard time believing he "can sell anything" as he claimed he could. The fact that he has his "came from nothing" story already figured out, has read all the tim ferriss entrepreneur books, but has no killer execution, shows he's a beta wantrepreneur. The worst part is after 54:05 when Noah provides this super clever idea to add to the sign up sheet, the kid's response is dull, bland, and virtually non-existent. Like do you even want to be there? I would kill to have my business broken down by these 2 guys. Great insight from Noah and Tim tho. Would love to see more of their good cop bad cop dynamic.

All right, I love both of these guys .. However, "Do what you love" is kind of bullshit motivational speaker crack served to self-help junkies. Some people love very uninteresting things which is fine. The problem is expecting people to pay for it. And that's where these "do what you love people" realize they're the only customer. Being your own first customer is great if it's a real *shared* pain, otherwise, it's just masturbation. (But one might argue that there's a masturbation business..)
