I have played few matches without the insole in one boot and i gotta say once you're in-game there really isn't almost any difference apart from the bigger risk of getting blisters
@@Soccerreviewsforyou Blisters are from just your skin not being strong enough, and the impact injuries are from bad technique, weak natural foot strength, and not progressing your natural foot strength, but rather rushing it too much. Like literally though, why would one need a padding for every day activities when us humans have natural foot strength? It’s just that we’re used to padding since we start walking, which leads to foot weakness and improper biomechanics.

I took out my insoles from my Jordan 29s which I wore in for three years so I was comfortable with them. I put them into my vapor 12s and it turned out to be absolute perfection
I used to use my Synthetic ACE 16.1s without insoles. They had a tacky rubberized texture which was comfortable enough on natural grass (had to use the insoles on AG). Also, I like my leather boots tight, so I usually get the fit I want without the insoles, then break them in until the leather stretches enough for me to put the insoles back in.
Hi Josh, I have custom Orthopedic insoles because I have sever's disease and everything you said was one hundred percent correct. I have always told people about how weird they are in my cleats especially new ones.
Good video, and good point on why use insoles. Personally, I buy tighter boots and remove insoles on purpose, I have noticed that I feel more feedback / connected to the pitch and my movements without them. But your point about long term impact is something to consider!
I play with no insoles also. I never had a problem doing it and from my experience the lockdown of my heel is a bit better as an insole makes it fractionally raised.
@@o̸ණ When you get a little older and your plantar fascia begins to weaken, you're almost guaranteed to get plantar fasciitis from playing without any arch support. And playing without any insoles at all, you're probably aging your feet faster through wear and tear, meaning you'll get lower leg issues like fasciitis at a younger age than is normal.
*Without arch support, there is negative space between the arch of your foot and the outsole.* This means a thin insole with flexible arch support correctly fitted to your foot actually makes you feel MORE connected to the pitch than you do without any insole at all.
I haven’t worn any insoles in my football boots for years now. It’s just way more comfortable and you get a closer feel to the group and greater control over the ball. That’s just my opinion tho.
Miguel Morales-Montalban I have always kept the soles in, but the last game I played I took them out. Can say I couldn't tell a difference with padded socks. if anything it feels more responsive
at first it feels weird, but after a while you just get used to it. I wear tru sox so the plastic and rubber just have better grip inside and i feel as if my shoe is more responsive.
You can get custom orthotics that are designed specifically for cleats. They have that bit of flexibility while still being shaped perfectly to your foot. There’s a place in Vancouver some doctor’s work with to get them made.
I'm sure they make something like it, but I don't think that's available everywhere. Plus the price of something like that would still be quite high in comparison to the Currex insoles that I showed in the video. For the money, I really feel like these do the job really well.
I pull not the sole because it gives the boot upper surface a flat area for proper tough one the ball you must try it really helps i have been trying this since 3 years
I never knew pros did this I personally did this because adidas insoles are very uncomfortable but as soon as I removed them I haven’t had many problems since
That or it can be because players want to be closer to the ground because I had a friend who always did this on club level and national level U19 for Oman. He removed all his insoles and was comfortable with the padded socks. He just did it to be lower. did not make sense to me but might make sense to you.
My friend also plays without insoles and I thought that was weird lol I only play with the insoles from my very old Nike Vapor 6. I really like those insoles and have been using them on all my football boots since 2010
Josh, my main theory is that I believe that the insoles are removed bc they wear custom orthotics. I have seen things like this before in my time in sports med. My second theory is that they are removed to dry faster. I have played without insoles before and i can validate that it allows you to have a thicker sock and different foot-to-ground feel. I enjoy your passion for boots bro.
2 reasons generally. If they tape their ankles, which a lot of players do, not having any hair on the lower part of your legs is ideal. Also, pros frequently get massages for the sake of recovery, and again, not having hair on your legs makes that experience a lot better. Those would be two practical reasons.
Yea that would lose a lot of money on the company to make better insoles. Just think. If they spend even 2 bucks to make better insoles and made 500,000 pairs of shoes they potentially saved about 1 million dollars
Osvaldo Ocampo except it would only cost like 50 cents max in order to make good insoles. if you ever took a marketing or business class you would know that it is extremely cheap to make products and businesses massively up charge and inflate their prices in order to gain a higher profit margin.
I ended injuring my knee when I was around 10 years old and ended up with some custom orthotics recommended by the doctor. I never liked them. They were bulky, stiff and never comfortable for me at all.
Thx, I'm suffering from planar fascitis, got some Dr. Scholls, but they don't seem to fit in my cleats well, I'm thinking about getting superfeet, or maybe the ones in the the video.
Hey Josh. Would you recommend buying a pair of cleats before ever trying them on? I want a pair of futures but none of the local soccer stores have any in stock.
I feel like most people ordering online are buying cleats without having tried them on. That's partially what I set out to help people out with in my videos.
Your position and playing style has nothing to do with what boots you should wear. It all depends on what type of fit and feel that you're looking for.
So I got a pair of vapor 11’s and the toe box felt really tight. I thought that if I just kept wearing them they would stretch, but after using them in a game my big toes turned black. After recovering from that for about a week or so, I tried the same pair on without the insoles and felt like I had a lot more toe room and space. Should I try to use them without the insoles or stop wearing them all together??? I don’t want to risk hurting my toes again.
Soccer Reviews For You. I don’t care that wearing no insoles will hurt my boots. I care for my feet and don’t want to injure my toenails again. So should I try to wear my cleats without insoles and risk hurting my toes, or stop wearing them because they might be too small and hurt my toes again?
Hi josh. My nemeziz 17.1 nitecrawler pack came this morning. I have a game tomorrow and I was wondering if I could play in them. I’ve been walking around the house in them for around 2 hours. Should I play in them or not.

It might be because your feet are too wide. I had this problem whenever I wore two pairs of socks cuz I had to change from school to practice and was too lazy to take my socks off. But whenever I wore one pair of socks I didn't have pain anymore. My feet are sortof wide, so I think the two socks were too much width.
Some reason could be that the cleats are too tight on your feet. Another is that the vapor 11s are a thin cleat so there is not very much protection or cushion for the in sides of your feet when kicking and shooting the ball.
Steven Smith I get from where you’re coming from because I used to do the same thing but with Superflys, when I wore 2 socks I would feel it but I just thought it was the flywire cables that made my feet hurt
