I wish I could call that Barnes tiny. In NZ we don't even have any stores specific to books. They're all stationery/game/card stores with a book section. I'd kill for a proper book store

I just finished Yours Truly and sobbed while I did my walk on the treadmill. I am going to continue reading Jurassic Park. Honestly, it’s so good because it is SO MUCH MORE than what the movie gives you. It’s one of my favorite movie franchises, so excited to get extras in the book!

Backlist is where it's at! I never answered your garden question on the weekly vlog: you can leave the plants in their pots. They will need water more often and if the pots are black, you may want to wrap or cover them in something to alleviate the sun absorption so the roots don't burn. You could also get bigger pots and repot them so they stay elevated from your girl's chompers 😅
A lot of Barnes are moving to smaller spaces. I now have a Barnes in my town that took over a Petco space that went out of business during the pandemic. I'm not completely thrilled with how small it is and, especially how small the SFF section is, but it is nice to have one in town. I have major driving phobias so the 2 Barnes I've been going to takes 45+minutes going the back way when the interstate would take less than 30 minutes.
I know from Chelsea Zhao's channel they did the same thing in Arizona. As long as it helps them stay in business, I guess it is ok.
Although, having a local Barnes is also a danger...to my bank account. Lol
I totally get the driving thing! I love back roads the most and only use those when I’m driving alone 🫶🏻 then sizing down makes sense and does keep me from over spending hahah

I highly recommend Bird and Blend (they are UK based but ship everywhere) for matcha. Great quality, and they also have fun flavors if you're into that. I love their peaches and cream matcha. So good!!
High and Low typically refer to the amount of magic/changes between our world and the fantasy world, so any book can be High Fantasy down on the scale to Low Fantasy. Then Epic Fantasy is like almost a genre of fantasy where the stakes of nations/worlds/large political systems hang in the balance, similar to another genre of like Grim Dark Fantasy. So you can have a High Epic Fantasy Story, and a Low Epic Fantasy Story, High Grim Dark, Low Grim Dark etc etc at least that is the way I understand it!
