We've gone for a contemporary production but old school approach i.e more emphasis on music composition, incorporating a Goa vibe and using classic synth sounds.
I'm crying it's so beautiful. Your Synergy and Astral Projection's Another World are the two most perfect albums in the world. I hear the next one is in the works! Thank you! 🥰
Awesome. Sounds like the original Cosmosis style. Its been years since I have seen your act live. Nowadays I love listening to the chill album with Ajja a lot.
Honestly, getting competent sounding mixes is not about gizmos. 99.5% is about: 1. relative levels, 2. EQ (relative levels of frequencies) and 3. compression/dynamics control (levels again)
@@BillyCosmosis no one’s denying importance of EQ, levels and compression but calling saturation/distortion a gizmo is underestimating its potential usefulness at all stages of production from creative fx to mixing and mastering
@@soundescapetv4107 You know very well that I didn't call saturation/distortion a gizmo. I called "The Black Box" a gizmo. Which it is. A very nice gizmo - with nice looking blue lights and all. But a gizmo nonetheless.
@@soundescapetv4107I just think you took my comment the wrong way. And just to be clear, of course I'm well aware of the value of signal saturation/distortion! I would have thought that was obvious from my music - I use it and abuse it on most sound sources. Sometimes across mix busses - even subtley during mastering. My point is that one doesn't need a dedicated 19" valve driven 19" rack gizmo to do it. These days plug ins can do all of that and more. However, the 19" racks do look nice - and impressive too. Sacrilege I know but I often think most of their value is as placebo effect - but that's just me. And please bear in mind this is coming from a former valve ampifier snob that's owned several californian hand built guitar amplifiers and other classic amps and spent years gigging and - comparing the relative merits of power amp distortion between stock vs matched 6L6GC output tubes and replaced stock pre amp tubes with imported Russian Sovteks 12AX7s

Really looking forward to this project. 💥The track sounds like a lsd rmx.👏
Really hoping there's nothing contemporary sounding about this release :). 1990-2000, golden age of goa!

@@BillyCosmosis I’m not sure what your point is. Black box IS a tube saturation processor.
