First off - your Sebulba was on-point. Secondly, the San Diego visitors bureau should have paid you a commission for your glowing review of the city. Definitely a beautiful place with lots of cool places to go. Makes me want to come back for a visit. Now about the content, I wish we had more vintage shops here in Iowa. I've got a ton of stuff I'd love to sell off for store credit rather than trying to sell online (which for the less desirable/valuable stuff sometimes isn't worth the effort & fees). The IG-88 was a great snag. And the 8D8 was a good choice as well. And Ahsoka - always gets my ♥️. Love that you're keeping track of all your Ahsoka purchases too. Another fantastic & entertaining toy hunt video. Would love to see more of these showcasing the current prices in store to see what things are going for in the actual wild and not online. Just a thought Joey.
That’s a great idea Mopar! I’ve seen a lot of fluctuating prices from region to region though and they are mostly on the high end. I do buy from shops but only when I compare prices online and when I can talk down prices from the owners to a very fair price. It’s on the higher end to buy at store shops I think. Thank you for watching my friend!
You picked up some great pieces Joey. I"m so jealous you have soooo many good stores you can go to. Sadly, as big as Sydney is, our options are a lot more limited. At least I can go on the journey with you virtually.
A good way to remember on the weapon colors, the Star Wars run figures used blue/black, then for Empire made figures, they used just blue👌😉. Regarding imperial blaster and pistol blaster 👍
Thanks Keegan! Most of the loose ones I’ve seen have all had wear on them so I was happy to find a great example of him :). Thanks for watching my friend and I hope all is well!
You got some good pick ups. Nice BK glass! I recently found the last glass I needed to complete all of my BK set. I also have a liking for vintage off the wall items. You have great places to visit in your area. I have to drive about 60 miles one way to find a good Vintage store. I do have a great place to go in Liberty Missouri called Back in time Toys! I got my Gi-Joe Flagg there for a great price! $1,300. They are always getting new vintage goodies! Have a great day Joey!
Wow 60 miles, but honestly it makes for a good road trip to get away and go on a journey :). Wish you had closer ones, but as long as you have fun on the trek! Thanks for checking out the episode Darth! And I hope all is well my friend!
Thanks John! That means a lot to me!!! It was a fun adventure, and I want to do more!! Lol. Thank you for having a good time watching and thanks for taking the time to comment :)
Loved seeing the shops! So jealous you have such great collectible toy stores in your city. Thanks for the saddle shout-out. Your collection has come so far since I sent that off!
Thanks Paul! I don’t know why I got into the Burger King glasses but I had two from my childhood and got two more on this run. So I’ll keep going haha! I just like the history behind them and the retro look of them! Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!
I also had those Burger King Glasses. My favorite was always the Han Solo Endor glass. I also agree with you on vintage stores which I need to visit more. 5 years ago at a vintage store I can into the McDonalds Garfield glass cups. Set of 3 and I caved. I need the 4th one co complete my collection.
Another great episode my brother. Love hunting. Unfortunately here in town, we don’t have many great shops so I have to wait to do more serious hunting when I travel. Nice pick ups. Cheers. #Academy
Yea you are right! I actually have a figure that needs a blue blaster and has the black/blue blaster so I can trade!!! Thanks for the into James and for watching!
Awesome toy hunt! I love all those stores you visited. All are great in their own way and have something for everyone. I love the BK glasses!! I have the whole set myself. Let me know what you’re missing and I’ll hit you up if I come across them. Great pick ups overall!! You’re making me want to pick up some graded and carded figs lol
Thanks Shaolin!!! Yea they each have their own flavor and crowds! I’ll def let you know what I’m missing in the BKs :). Haha do it! Get those carded and graded figs lol. Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome Joey that was awesome! Loved seeing all those shops. Where I live in the uk I haven’t any shops near me 😩 awesome pick ups! Love that 8D8 #Acadamy. Cheers Joey
Totally! I’ll ask the people over at TCs if I can do a whole show from there and take my camera set up down there!!! Interview them and have them take us through what they have!
Hi Joey! Just catching up on your older videos. I seem to remember getting my Walrusman (new in 1979) having a blue almost green gun, and that's the one I've always kept with him, but who am I to argue with official documentarians 😄 Oh and its "reins" not "reigns." A sandtrooper uses reins to control his dewback. The Emperor reigns over the Empire. It rarely rains on Tatooine. 😉 IDK what your current status is on that but good luck with it. I'm on my thrid dewback now and best I've got is my original remaining broken bridle part, and a complete but glued one. Oh, and yes I use both "reins" and "reigns" on my ebay search. Other people make the same mistake.😆
Hey Joel. You can buy a pauldron for your vintage stormtrooper in Etsy website, and then go to search engine and type up " trashcompactor", and that's it! They sell the pauldron in there.
Great vid!! You're very fortunate to have multiple stores you can visit and find vintage stuff. I definitely would love to hit up shops like these ones in a visit to the US someday. #Academy
Noticed on your spreadsheet how to the reference photos are different. These new reference photos on your checklist on this video have the accessory separate or not worn. Much easier to quickly see what belongs to it. Can you share what website you got the latest reference photos? Greatly appreciated.
Another great video. Makes me want to get out and search for vintage figures. Looks like San Diego is the place to look. Might have to combine a vacation and toy hunt together. Wonder if my wife will notice? #Academy
Great Fun Video Joey! - honestly - feeling like a green eyed monster over here in UK- you've got some awesome shops over there! - sorry; stores ;) -although- I don't know how far you had to drive? California is nearly twice the size of my whole country! -Birmingham or Edinburgh would be a mission from Hertfordshire :) Great haul, and fun to see some of the more modern stuff you've picked up along the way! All the best Dude :)
Hey Joey, there is absolutely no shame in having Rey's speeder! I have a collection of different smaller sizes of that speeder just cuz I think it's cool looking. I wish I had the one you were going to sell. I may look for it now loose though to go with my other ones
Oh man had I still had it I would have offered it to you! It’s a nice piece but I had to consolidate room for the vintage Kenner line! Thanks for watching Ghost!
#Academy great video as always I love the summer I like to hit outdoor flea markets I will have to let you know about walrus man I just ordered him from eBay about a week ago I will have to see the color of his blaster hard to tell in the photos 👍
Another great video Joey! And you definitely need to check out Trash Compactor Customs on Etsy for the Stormtrooper Pauldron, they even do a Dewback kit with a screen accurate backpack and staff! #Academy
Amazing toy hunt! Love that Ashoka! I've got a pre order for the new TVC Ashoka Corvus that I think is out real soon! I think that imperial blaster with walrusman is a little bit too light Joey, looks like the blaster for IG88 and Imperial Commander. I think it's alot darker blue/black for him, same as Stormtrooper and Hammerhead, my one is anyhow. Love the video man! Nothing like a toy hunt all over the city 😂👍🏼
Yea I think you are right! I think I have a figure that needs the blue blaster and actually has a blue/black, but for now I’ll place that blaster to the side until I can take inventory of my figures and what I have lol. Thanks for watching Kev!
Hi Joey, sorry just catching up. This episode was fantastic! You are so lucky with the stores you have in the US! They are amazing! Can I also just say that Lexy (hope the spelling is correct) your beautiful dog is absolutely gorgeous! She is amazing! How old is she? Would be great to see more of her. Really pleased for you the items that you picked up. Kindest regards Gary
Thanks Gary! It was a fun trek and I want to do more vintage hunts! Lexi is 15 years old, so she is getting up there, but she’s a sweet hearted dog :).
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Lexi is amazing! I could tell that she is an old girl. 15 years clearly shows that she is loved very much! Looking forward to the next episode my friend! 🙂

I love Lexi! Such a cool old dog🙂👍🏻❤

Fun episode. Love hunting for hidden treasures. Looking forward to your graded run after the loose run is complete.
