I do like the new persuasion 'mini-game'. Before (like Fallout 4/Skyrim) it was only a one shot chance. Now it has more possibilities, a little bit of strateegery, you can 'build up' the auto-persuade option and (as I found few days back) there is also a critical success, it 'wins' the persuasion even when not filling all the squares.
My soon to start Josey Wales character is definitely going to visit Akila City as soon as possible. Nice guns, nice suits 😁
Hmm. I like the gang leader missions--love those long dungeon crawls looking to loot legendaries. Really enjoying this walkthrough.

Ugh, I hate the way enemies always hang around the top of a ladder when you board ships. I got stuck in a death loop on one ship I boarded. It had a massive 3 deck ladder and I was stuck in a little storeroom at the bottom. Everytime I tried to climb up to the next level, I got absolutely hosed by the enemies at the top and died. Ended up having to load a previous save. Another thing I learned the hard way, don't shoot enemies whilst they are using the ladder. The physics in the game are a little janky and sometimes, the enemy can glitch out and get stuck on the ladder. That will stop you from using it as the game thinks someone is already on it. (ladders are the same as chairs or workbenches, you can't climb one if an NPC is already using it) If you get this you'll have to load an earlier save. Great work from Sack as usual.
Next time, stand at the bottom of the ladder and fire a couple of random shots up through the hole. Then back off and watch the suckers come down the ladder. Shoot fish in a barrel then rinse and repeat. 😎
That was the problem, I couldn't run away. I was in a little 1x1 storeroom at the bottom of the ladder. All I could do was stand at the bottom and shoot or throw grenades but I just kept dying. Worst part was, I started at the top of the ladder in the same room as the enemies. They were shooting me and I was backing away and I fell down the ladder hole and got stuck ! 😜They were Va'Ruun Zealots too, really hurt ! @@MajorSlackAttack
@@MajorSlackAttack Couldn't get the last guy to come down the ladder, he was hiding in the corner. So got my trusty buckshot shampoo out, and did a double boost jump from the base of the ladder to find where he was and blasted him on my way down. Could not stop laughing at how well it worked.
Always find that for me, it's difficult to get into these games. Didn't much play Skyrim until I watched smacked and got to see the systems in action and see the potential the game meant to have on display. Same in this. They're are some fantastic systems in place. When they are used seems every bit as important and how they are used (if not more). Effort x efficiency ÷ resources + planning = All category advancement toward end game domination. Turning into a employable formula for taking in any game. Anyway. It's got me wrapped up now. Which means many hours of exploration and learning in the next few months. Thanks again. SLACK!

First, cornbread is delicious: perfect autumn/winter food.
Hostage rescues are useful if youre trying to up companion affinity; every companion Ive tried it with likes it when you free a hostage. (Except Vasco, but he doesnt care what you do anyway)

You probably know this, nut contraband can be sold at the Den in the Wolf system. I love the Freestar quest line, also the UC is great .
15:54 - I just don't understand Bethesda's methods sometimes.
Their naming system blows.
It is not logical, and makes finding items in menu tedious.
Should be more like:

Grendel - Modified

Tacticus (Diplomat origin) did the bank robbery mission yesterday. During the speech with the marshal there is a special 'Diplomat' option. Another 'Diplomat' option is there for the second persuasion check while talking to the bank robber leader. There is also an 'Intimidate' option for the second persuasion check, which I didn't use. Sarah doesn't like it :D
Btw when u have the Wanted trait, u can skip the first persuasion check ;)

aswesome video slack i didnt choose any of the faction based traits on 1st character deadeye looks good pistol but as in bethesda game loads weapons and im sure loads more via mods enjoy cornbread dont know what that is but :)

Speaking of the well rested bonus, is it possible to "fast sleep" (slide the time bar while sleeping) like you can in Skyrim?

Well, i got screwed on the hostage mission, no shooting☹, just 3 dead floating spacers.
I don't think you can beat the first persuade challenge at this point in the game. You need 3 of the +3 responses to win. I reloaded about a dozen times and then won the second persuade on the 3rd try. You would need to level up persuasion a lot to get the +5s to not fail. And the game would probably scale the check to match your skill anyway. Curious to see how the Deadeye does out on farm in the next video lol
I've beaten the first challenge a number of times. Just put on some Persuasion apparel (+5% Persuasion) and drink a bottle of Chandri (+9% Persuasion) that you got from the Lodge bar and then click on the Persuasion dialogue choices that would best appease the bank robbers (you have to listen to their story to determine their emotional state and then answer accordingly). Worked for me. Not every time but I have done it.

Question: If you steal marked items, will you be prevented from landing on a new planet when they scan your ship for contraband?
Im not an authority on this but until someone gives you a better answer: I have seen from other videos that there are specific marked contraband items. Stolen and contraband is not the same thing.
