Maneskin is an Italian rock group composed of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria de Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio. After finishing second in the Italian X-Factor, the quartet rose to fame, creating prominence worldwide by winning the Eurovision song contest.

There is an important information missing. In Italy, the most important music festival is called Sanremo, and the winner automatically represents Italy at Eurovision. They won, despite it's totally atypical for italy to even attend the festival by playing rock

They have to choose if they want to represent Italy, it's not automatic, the first choice falls on the winner of Sanremo but it's not 100% that they'll accept to go and play at the Eurovision

Maneskin are also helping Italian rock in general. For example now Vasco Rossi is much more known outside of Italy
He's not. And he's an old man. Strange comparison. A huge part of Maneskin's success around the world is they write many British style rock songs. It's a win for Italy but not any other Italian artist, that's just delusional.

I think the Maneskin musical phenomenon is a very rare one.
Please tell me if, besides the Beatles, there have been other musical groups that have achieved success all over the world at just 20-22 years of age and after only 4 years of activity ..

probably some of the Kpop artist do it right now/will do it in next few years. I do think that TXT is quite well known right now (they are around 20 right now) ... With Internet it is easier to spread music around the world, the question is: will Maneskin survive long enought to be the legend they might be ....
I do agree with mentioned above: One Direction, probably Jonas Brothers (not sure how old they were with their first wave of popularity), Destiny's Child, Backstreet Boys was huge in 90s, and if we would go with soloist: Britney and Christina

They are the Italian ABBA. Even a little bit better. ABBA never sing internationally in Swedish. Maneskin is internationally very successful with songs in Italian. Excellent music & songs are not necessary always in English ; Maneskin prove it

You definitly should listen how the band pronounce name: Måneskin - it's more like mooneskin, because that little circle above "a" make a difference XD å =/= a .... it's not even in language I know, but Victoria corrected few interviewers so far XD

As a Dane, every time I hear their name pronounced wrong (like repeatedly in this video), I become a human autocorrect, instantly saying it how it's actually pronounced; mÅneskin. I can't even help it.
I don't know a single word in Danish but coming from a country that uses special characters too it also bothers me when English speakers ignore them like that

@@casperix3741 No, the correct Danish pronunciation is "Moh-neh-skin". Å in Nordic languages is pretty close to 'o'. Italians also use "Mah-neh-skin". You can hear the band themselves say both of these.
