Miu is a noisy baby, Gon is the timid type but both are adorable. I agree mixing some baby cereal with milk for Miu is good too. Miu will feel fuller and grow faster.
Not if it's all rice milk and rice cakes. What that diet brings is malnourishment, disease and death.

Ага, если учесть, что эта мадам первый раз зашла к малышам в два часа дня, то я представляю какой там аромат. Бедная Миу орала как резаная, чуть бутылку не поглотила. И большая соска не помешала - лишь бы дали. А у Гона желудок ссохся наверное, как и он сам. И после такого она обижается на негативные комменты.

DonnaRupinski you’re exactly right. Miu does nothing but whine and cry all the time. She’s been spoiled beyond repair now. She says jump and they say how high? Gon has so much patience. He’s a sweet boy. He doesn’t particularly like MIU. Maybe because she is a different species of prime mate. I don’t know plus she’s much younger than he is.

These aren’t human children, they don’t understand discipline. She is a wild animal doing what comes naturally. She is just hungry as in the wild she would nurse almost constantly from her mother.
I’d stomp Miu to death.
For the small baby they need milk every 4 hours. They both need.GON need milk for 4-5 homes a day. GON too small to selected what he should to eat as the same human child.

Oh yeah and another thing to all you experts out there! How many of these monkeys are kept as pets after they have reached adulthood? Anybody know the answer to that? I doubt it! Not many that’s the answer! Once they reach the age of sexuality they are a force not to be reckoned with. They can become extremely aggressive and mean. FACT! Some are turned out into the wild where they don’t fair very well. Some are turned over to zoos and who knows what happens to some. There are good people who keep them till the end but those people are a special kind of people and are few and far between. Seriously tell me how many adult monkey pet videos do you see. Check it out.

I'm just trying to figure out why both, Miu and Gon are so insecure and scared of everything, why Miu will use a bottle and Gon won't, why Miu's cries are so, so tragic, why she gets so upset, what has happened to them that it is this severe. It's heart breaking to watch them.

Does Miu and Gon have some water and some type of food in their room, in case they feel thirsty or hungry at night or early morning?
No they don't! It's the reason why Miu is crying so much! She's is very thirsty! And to my opinion she's too thin! And Gon seems to be anorexic!

I think Miu wanted more milk. Have you tried mixing a little baby cereal with some milk and seeing if she likes it.
Yes agreed. She seems to still be in need of milk. But to give more milk could over fill her. Where as if it had more substance to it, say with rice baby cereal, the same amount of milk/cereal would make her feel full. Keep her from just wanting more and more liquid/milk.

Nurse Kathy I basically said the same thing awhile back and OMG the nasty comment I got were unbelievable! For as timid Gon is, and Miu is a little hyper and always hides his or her face a lot, something has gone wrong, and this human mother didn't cause it. Were they too old when they were taken from their mothers, did something horrible happen to them? I assume they are not related, that's why I think who ever took them, they were too old, they know full well, their real mother is gone. Thankfully she's trying to help them deal with it. I'm glad she's trying to get Gon to take a bottle, something that will comfort him too. But she did really good and giving them both comfort, plenty of healthy food and keeping them clean. Maybe one day, Gon will be better.

Or, what the hell, imagine giving them formula. It's just a thought. I admit my weakness, I have not fully researched the level of nutrition packed in bottles of rice milk. So good that it must be rammed repeatedly into tiny mouths. Then turn the heads. Maybe it's just me, but it appears to be refusal to me.
i think she really loved her monkeys, but in the end they were wild animals and she and her children were not safe around them. this was sad.

Gon refuses to drink from a bottle. She has kept trying to get him to, but he won't. She's not refusing to give him one. She gives both those babies a lot of attention and care.

How on earth should they know what to eat and how to eat, if they don't have a monkey mum to show them and teach them? Besides, in the nature they eat what they can find on trees or the other plants on the floor, leaves, fruits, seeds. Meat (specially cooked meat) doesn't belong to these categories.
Seeds are not good for monkeys. Fruit, fish, water, vegetables, nuts and live insects are best. They need a variety each day and vitamin D supplements daily.

Yes, cat food/treats. Good thing that Gon didn't eat it, because as a Stump tailed macaque, he should eat mainly fruit (also some insects and nuts, veggies but they are fruit eaters first of all) and cat food could bad for his stomach...

I've been watching how they both eat. It appears they are getting more and more picky about what they want. I would give them both a small amount of milk in the morning and a small amount at bedtime. Until they quit being so picky with their food. Give it a couple of days and see if they are ready to eat what's put in front of them. Their bad habit of, pickiness gets worse almost every day.
