His plan was to compare a few to see who was best suited, but this child seemed to meet all the requirements. Anya deliberately skewed the odds. But yeah, it's still clearly scripted because the author needed Loid to get Anya for the dynamic to work.

OMG I'm late to the party! WIT and Cloverworks perfectly adapted this series so far and the fact that they added a lot of things in the anime that's not in the manga makes this adaptation 100% epic! WIT Studios will be producing the "odd-numbered" episodes of the series, aka episodes one, three, five, etc, while CloverWorks will be working on the "even-numbered" episodes of the series, aka episodes two, four, six, etc. Therefore, the first episode of the series was produced by WIT, and the next will be produced by CloverWorks, so it should be interesting to see what differences, if any, can be spotted in these respective installments.

This time period is the Cold War in Germany. The two countries (Westalist and Ostania) at the beginning are reference of West and East Germany. That explains a lot of outdated things like "requiring 2 parents for family interview". Westen and osten mean "west" and "east" in German. The photos Twilight stole at the beginning was of an Ostanian minister. Edgar, a politician, wants those photos to force that minister to retire (having toupee is a no-no in politics I guess). But Twilight (under the name Robert) dated Karen, Edgar's daughter, to get close to Edgar and then stole the photos right under Edgar's nose. That was why he was mad and wanted it back.
I’m so happy for Dani. They are watching a show with a cute “baby” character and finally Sam and Morgan didn’t compare Dani to the baby… at least not yet. 😜
You know, this type of anime is rare. That's why this anime is like a relief for people who tired of watching "mainstream anime" such as isekai, shounen, etc. This anime is worth to watch! More you see, the more you like :)

Just like comparing Ranking of Kings and SpyxFamily. The former being a 'realistic' depiction of a 'medieval time' with fantastical elements with a cartoonish art style. The latter being a 'wholesome family comedy slice of life drama' with some fighting here and there and implied deaths.
It's funny because it's hard to get into the whole cold war era spy thingy that is going on when you have an amazing family dynamic thing to worry about at home lol. I know I am late to the game compared to the rest but I can't wait for your ep 2 to go public :)
I absolutely love this show, for me, the best of the year 😍 And I totally recommend watching Violet Evergarden, it really blew me away and will remain one of my favorite animes ever. One of the episodes is propably my favorite piece of story and media I ever saw, regardless of anime or live action.

Wanna know something funny? the characters that i find the most interesting in this Episode/Chapter, aren’t any of the Major Characters within this Chapter/Episode, but it’s actually two Background Characters, the First Two Girls that we get to see when Twilight first steps in the Orphanage, one Longer the other Shorter, the Longer Girl appears to have Brown Hair that Curls Up over her cheeks, with a Big Red Bow on Top of her head and sort of has Half-Open Eyes, While the Shorter Girl appears to have Black-Brown Hair, with a Small White Bow on the Right Side of her head and has Big Round Eyes(though they aren’t that big the Anime) will Snot Running Down her Nose, she also Stands In Front of the Orphanage Owner when the other kids sees Anya off in the Anime, They are both amongst the very First Kids we get to see when Loid first steps inside the Orphanage in the Anime and is the Only Kids Drawn Clearly in the First Panel of the Second Page of when Loid is at the Orphanage in the Manga and in both the Manga and the Anime they are Standing Beside Each Other, I can’t really think of any other reason as to why i got so attached to these two Unnamed Orphan Girls, other than that i just found their characters designs interesting, When i first laid my eyes on them, i couldn’t help but let my imagination go wild with ideas and i just sort of ended up evolving them into being more recurring and prominent characters, If you’re curious about what kind of developments i gave them, then you could just give me a Reply and i can try telling you in detail, but the short version is that i pretty much just made them into Eden Academy Students, just like Anya.
You see the question of "what if they don't have two parents?" being raised when people react to this show, but this is relatively common for the type of academy they're depicting here. It's very classist. The idea that a child - through no fault of their own - is from an even remotely broken household is enough for Eden to turn their noses up. Obviously, both in this anime, and in real life, such standards are entirely for show, as we're all too aware of how toxic and disfunctional a 'nuclear middle/upper class family household' can be behind closed doors, whereas a single-parent household can still be a healthy enviorment to raise children, again, it's very classist, and that's kinda a theme the series is taking subtle jabs at.
The reason the toupee pic was so important was because back then in the 1940s image was everything. And having a toupee when everyone thinks you have hair could destroy your political career. Very trivial, but it was true and this concept in our era is funny.. so yeah.

As for the x its usually said a cross denoting some kind of mash-up theres a tone of video game cross over series that use the x (cross) in the title so it be hunter cross hunter in all reality denoting how the show is how our main characters are hunters meating up with and going against other hunters spy cross family denoting the shows theme of family living meeting the life style of a berline wall esque era spy but i dont see alot of anime actually say the x (cross) in the title unless it is a true cross over in the west it was always hunter x hunter till some reditor actually went out side and took a trip to Japan and figured out they dont say the x over there and im sure its similar for spy family

A suggestion when you reach this point, Watch Episode 12 first, then Episode 11. This I feel is the way the first part of this season should have ended and it will be a better ending point leading into the next part of the season in October than the actual order and the last episode.
I'd second this. Episode 12 is a self-contained side story from the manga (it originally was placed between what would be episodes 6 and 7 in the manga), while 11 leads directly into the second cour.

That Commercial About that girl on the dating show choosing a dog is Based. Dogs are way better than people. IT reminds me of this weird movie based in a post apocalypse where a guy and his (talking?) dog travel the wasteland and at the end some girl tries convincing him to kill and eat his dog. And because the movies completely fucked up it shows him and the dog eating cooked meat after that scene. LOL

I haven’t seen kaguya but all the rest in that poll are AMAZING so you should probably just watch all of them.
Everyone says this when it was really just trolls and bait accounts looking to make people mad. Then everyone got mad just like they wanted. The only thing that was legit unnecessary outrage was that fanart of everyone from behind because the artist drew the hem of her dress really high up to where it *could* have been an upskirt shot, but it wasn’t. The majority of people found no issue with it and went after the people harassing the artist. The one about Anya and Loid was from a certified troll account, as were the ones about Loid and Anya blushing.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is also good too. I suggest it to be the next one to be reacted to, since it just gets better and better as episodes come. It's S-tier romcom. And I greatly like SxF. Most people even compare Love Is War with Spy x Family (Loid and Miyuki, Yor and Kaguya, Anya and Chika, Yuri and Ishigami)
As for the intro would recommend Kaguya-sama as it's the #1 in MAL right now and definitely last season's arguably best anime. Alas, I have followed since AOT journeys and this is def the most different show from all you've watched, just chill and wholesome. Enjoy!! :D
Watch Classroom of Elite later, the second season launched yesterday and the anime is phenomenal...there are few episodes too, with one of the best protagonists and a great plot.
I started to watch this anime right after kaguya-sama ended and I loved it right away, I noticed that Kaguya it's in the poll! Please, I hope you guys react to it eventually because to me it's the best romcom anime out there.
When Japanese use the "X" is to say it's like a mix so Spy X Family it's Spy mixed with family the same with Hunter X Hunter I remember Japanese pronounced everything with the "X"

This show made me upset when an episode ended and excited for the next. I am sad My Dress Up Darling didn't win, but when it was up against Spy x Family, there was no way it would.
So the thing with the toupee plot was just that the guy was trying to make his political rival resign; likely out of embarrassment. Also, a thing to keep in mind with this anime is that it's set around the mid 1940-1950's and is basically in a East/West Germany situation except the East and West here are two different countries. The city they live in is even just called Berlin with an extra t on the end; Berlint. With that said, there's gonna be some situations that portray the kind of values people had back then and especially when it comes to family; like the school requiring that a student have both parents.

If you like gangster and mafia shows, I recommend 91 Days. It tackles the prohibition era in the US. It's a revenge flick, essentially.

Everyone says this when it was really just trolls and bait accounts looking to make people mad. Then everyone got mad just like they wanted. The only thing that was legit unnecessary outrage was that fanart of everyone from behind because the artist drew the hem of her dress really high up to where it *could* have been an upskirt shot, but it wasn’t. The majority of people found no issue with it and went after the people harassing the artist. The one about Anya and Loid was from a certified troll account, as were the ones about Loid and Anya blushing.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is also good too. I suggest it to be the next one to be reacted to, since it just gets better and better as episodes come. It's S-tier romcom.
And I greatly like SxF. Most people even compare Love Is War with Spy x Family (Loid and Miyuki, Yor and Kaguya, Anya and Chika, Yuri and Ishigami)
As for the intro would recommend Kaguya-sama as it's the #1 in MAL right now and definitely last season's arguably best anime. Alas, I have followed since AOT journeys and this is def the most different show from all you've watched, just chill and wholesome. Enjoy!! :D

When Japanese use the "X" is to say it's like a mix so Spy X Family it's Spy mixed with family the same with Hunter X Hunter I remember Japanese pronounced everything with the "X"

Im sure many already said so in the comments maybe, but you pronounce the title "Spy Family" and you leave out the x. Like in Hunter x Hunter, it's just Hunter Hunter, and in Gun x Sword, it's just Gun Sword. Yeah, again, Im sure a ton of people already said so. So the thing with the toupee plot was just that the guy was trying to make his political rival resign; likely out of embarrassment. Also, a thing to keep in mind with this anime is that it's set around the mid 1940-1950's and is basically in a East/West Germany situation except the East and West here are two different countries. The city they live in is even just called Berlin with an extra t on the end; Berlint. With that said, there's gonna be some situations that portray the kind of values people had back then and especially when it comes to family; like the school requiring that a student have both parents.
