Love the love this man shows for HxH. The rewatch is gonna hit even harder I promise this
especially when you pick up on the smaller details and foreshadowing that you don't notice ur first time watching, makes the show that much better
Just so you know -- Kurapika only has a condition on ONE of his abilities. His middle finger ability: "Chain Jail" can ONLY be used on Phantom Troupe. BUT He has a different ability for each finger. Most of them require his "Emporer Time" ability like "Heal Thumb chain" which uses Enhancement. Kurapika still has his index finger ability "Dowsing chain" which is pure conjuration that he can use without his scarlet eyes.
i think he also has a condition on its chain itself to make it nearly indestructible as he was trying to find a way to make a strong chain and his master tell him about a condition things

Kurapika is still the beast. Even without that condition, he has tons of tricks, a greater control on his nen.
I was about to comment this, they are definitely underestimating him. And maybe they don’t fully understand his abilities or restrictions. But he does sort of reverse what he says at the end lol
@@MindSamurai94 nothing much to understand honestly.. kurapika is only strong because of the vow to only use the special chain against ryodan.. against non ryodan he will be weak ass fck because that's just the vow he made which made his nen crazy strong against ryodan.. but the moment he use it against a non ryodan he will be dead... hence why he got a sudden boost spike in power.. so to answer no one underestimating honestly he can still use emperor time perhaps but even that is a conditioned one.. so there are many restriction and things to make kurapika to be as op as how he fight uvogin.. 1st (red moon) 2nd (Vow Must use special chain against ryodan only since he stake his life for it that's what make him strong.. but tbh kurapika is too niche) simply put you are just overhyping kurapika tbh..
@@kayyam9959 I’m not even addressing this because you honestly don’t understand kurapikas abilities lol. Chain jail is one chain…. The restriction makes it unbreakable to spiders. Every other ability can be used on anyone. Some are restricted to scarlet eyes. Plus he has more abilities, but it’s a manga spoiler so I’ll leave it there. All the best to you dude, I’m not even debating someone who isn’t in possession of the facts.
@@kayyam9959 when his eyes turn scarlet he can use 100 percent of every category 💀 from what angle is he weak without the restrictions 😂
Without the condition it’d be more of a war of attrition, he’d have to avoid taking blows to the vital areas from uvogin since he can do critical damage to kurapika while kurapika holds a bit of a speed advantage and since he’s an enhancer he can do minimal damage to uvogin

Kurapika as we saw in the Manga is way more versatile but that comes with a Price

Kurapika without chain jail condition stomps both gon and killua very easily
Killua would give him a run for his money. He can push 8 ton gates. And shadow step. Later in series he stomps imo.
I have a hard time seeing Kurapika stomping Killua near the end of the series. HxH "power levels" aren't linear anyway so it's literally a tossup on who would win a nen battle.

i mean even after the ant arc he is still stronger
remember that his eyes can be turned red on command so he can get into that state whenever he wants + the only chain thats reserved to the spiders only is the Jail (the one he captures them with)
Literally Killua fought the chimera ant with the most amount of nen and Gon had that transformation, I wouldn't say he's stronger that confently

@@oppaitomioka856naw remember killua is an assassin. He can blitz kurapika with G speed. in G speed even the guard couldn’t touch him. He reacts by instinct and will dodge any and all attacks and react due to his intense training faster than any non combatant who trained for years could. Killua also electrifies you when your hit and most can’t move. The chain jail only puts you in forced power down nen if your a spider. Otherwise it’s just strong chain and a whip. Killua can break out of hit. The ability to steal g speed doesn’t matter as you won’t use it effectively not being an assassin who’s highly trained your just moving while thinking. Lastly the other abilities kirapika has could likely not even beat gon. Gon is stronger as an enhancer. I like hxh cause they make a character op but don’t have to make him unbeatable. The story can still have strong people and it’s all situational. It’s hard to do and I wish hxh got more credit for it. Jjk does it too but that series is flooded like a virus since it’s popular and the comprehension devil hits most series that are close to ending. Symptoms. Screaming mid, bad writing, trash, fraud, overhyped, etc with little explaination. 😂

@@oppaitomioka856 kinda like JoJo. I feel like the secret to a good shonen is just know that all fights are just a yugioh battle where you know each persons Deck and a few base stats cards lol. No deck in fair story should beat all decks all the time and the villian can cheat. lol.

Kurapika is still beast even without the restrictions BUT without it he had literally 0% of chance to beat Uvogin (who is one the top 5 strongest enhancers we have seen in the show and even in the manga)
At this point in the arc, these 5 are the strongest characters we've met.

Chrollo
Kurapika
Netero
Hisoka
And at this point kurapika is stronger than both gon and killua combined. Post chimera ant arc brings it to a tie though, imo.

13:13 i guess you're too focus and hype about what's gonna happen to kurapika coz most of the troupe are coming at him, also who's stronger than whom. Please don't get this out of u'r minds that Togashi is showing how the troupe works, how they care for each other coz that's the main point of this arc
Kurapika is way more skilled at nen, than Gon and Killua at this point, but yeah he can only match expert nen users like the spiders because of his condition that he bet his life on. Otherwise he would need years of training to catch up.

@@matiastorres2553 yes he is. Enhancers get a buff for strength hence why kurapika was mad he wasn't one. Nen is life energy and will. Gon surpasses kuripukia with that. Author helped with the films so even if its not canon he said it was an idea he had rolling around but had no time for it. In the film they block bullets by covering with nen. Kuripika had to hid when bullets were being shot in this arc or use his chains to block them. I'm thinking people overestimate kurapika cause he's good vs spiders. Spiders arent strongest in verse. Some of the stronger ants can beat them or give them trouble. Gon by later in series could likely swipe away the chains, see them with gyo, and he's tricky. He thought he would have taken smoker dude out with a charged up punch and it got smoker dude nervous. Smoker dude took on people faster than himself and guards. Kurapika at this point in the story being leveled up to be on par with later gon and killua is crazy cope IMO. At current arc yes...though I still think killua is a problem in pure strength but nen blocking should stop kurapika from getting hurt badly.
