@@ouie-fl4qo true. Most of my games have surprisingly been decent though. Not as many ball chasers as lower plat and high gold. A lot more rotating. I’ve been winning and I’ve never air dribbled once lol (I’m about Plat 3 in all regular modes)

At diamond, my teammates regularly rotate 1st to 2nd and leave me stuck in 3rd for 60%+ of the game.
"Even though we scored, it still wasn't the right play by me" -- most players seem to have no ability to understand this idea.

True, it makes no sense. They’d rather ballchase and have no boost just for a small opportunity instead of backing out to let you have a go with full boost.

I'm stuck in gold now, and I get stuck at 3rd pretty much the entire game because I always gets stuck with ball chasers. Just started playing again like a week ago. Kind of reminds me why I stopped 🤣

If your new to the idea of rotation, looking at you plats, then I think I'd recommend Virge's video first for the theory and view of the whole pitch and how it all fits together. Then come back here to see how that actually looks through one players eyes

could you do a tutorial on defending? im around 1600 consistently and its one of my biggest weaknesses, and I don't understand how the pros read where their opponent is going to shoot. I hope you see this! also thank you so much your past tutorials have been a big help especially the fast aerial one.

5:17 nah being back post is the best position, cos you know the ball will be placed in front of you. And if you facing the ball it can go left, right or in front of you, so facing site ways back post is the best way.

2v2: if i pass to the opponent's corner and my teammate rotates back: should he turn and challenge the corner? should i challenge the corner? should i fake challenge?
3v3: should 1 guy stay upfield to receive passes? who defende the backboard on opposing aerial stuff?

I would like to believe I have an advantage when I play Rocket League with my friends. We all understand each other's playstyle and are on voice comms, however... They both will rotate with each other, 1st and 2nd over and over, leaving me as 3rd. They head upfield and then scream "I HAVE NO BOOST", like, what the heck are you going upfield without boost for?
The best part, when they finally rotate behind me.... going ballside. So they either hit me out of the way, or hit the ball back towards our goal. When they rotate ballside, they literally but unintentionally help the other team. Sigh. Also the point of allowing and trusting your teammates, yikes. They ballchase

5:00 isn't it better to stay backpost so that you have the full net in front of you and you can save everything?
not really, you won't be able to save a low ball that comes in 100 km/h, imo, backboard is for high shots, so if the player is gonna do an arialshot, you stay on backboard

you just need to focus on playing the game better all around....drive and ballcam at the same time....dribble....shoot the ball....jump...boost flipping.

Biggest tip in rocket league is play to your level. Example if your a silver to plat 3 low diamond....... u don't need to do flip resets, double taps stupidly crazy shots. Get the basic down rotations positioning and basic car control.... I guarantee you will hit high champ alot sooner than wasting your time doing stupid stuff and landing your team mates in a heap of shit!!!!!!
