I wish they would bring something new with the streaks. All these streaks are essentially just Different names to old streaks with some slight changes.
I'm bummed they removed all the weapon streaks from Cold War like the handcannon and war machine. They were all leaked in the files. They'll probably add them in future updates but it's unfortunate that we live in a time where full priced AAA titles have content removed just to be added later on.
To sort of reinforce Ace's point with the Interceptors streak for anyone who is concerned with things playing out like Cold War, just quickly compare the difficulty of the streaks. Assuming they are using bankroll for an extra 150 score and the strategist specialty and get EVERY KILL near an objective, they still need an eight kill streak. Not particularly hard, but still not something most people can do consistently, and that's while forcing yourself to play on objective with a limited selection of perks while also burning a wildcard. And for what? If you're getting to an eight kill streak, chances are the other team isn't hitting a 10 streak for a HARP, or 15+ for a Dreadnought. It's just a waste of a streak slot when you could get an AGR or a Watchdog. In Cold War, the streak system was a bit weird, but without doing anything out of the ordinary an 8 kill streak would be enough to get the get the air patrol, so immediately it requires much less investment for the same reward. However, you can earn bonus score to speed that up by getting kills with a UAV or CUAV up, getting kills on an objective, capturing objectives, blindly throwing stun grenades, picking up Kill Confirmed tags, perk bonuses, etc. ALL THIS on top of the fact that your scorestreak does NOT reset when you die. You kept any progress you made. Meanwhile the enemy team is almost GUARANTEED to get at least one high end streak. All those same bonuses you might be abusing to scrap together enough points are also being abused by someone running a War machine to chain a streak into a HARP and Chopper Gunner. Even if you're dominating, the enemy team will likely earn a mid tier streak like a support helo. You know EVERY GAME that the Air Patrol will have value. There was no reason NOT to run it. That's why the Interceptors won't be Air Patrol 2.0. It is just way harder to earn the Interceptors, as well as any of the streaks that would be good to have the interceptors for. It's just better to run the AGR or Watchdog as you'll get way more consistent value out of them.
As someone who wants powerful streaks and shoots them down, glad there's an EMP like streake at launch. Don't nerf streaks add more counters in the game.
I think this system creates more distinct playstyles. If you want to focus on scorestreaks you have to give up more offensive perks but you will have scorestreaks. Most people won't do that and matches will have less scorestreaks and depend more on gunfights. Yet again, if you want scorestreaks, you can build around them.
I completely agree that objective based modes should have double score for playing the objective. It’s completely frustrating when the enemy or teammates treats an objective base mode like it’s TDM.
I'd love to see what the Dreadnought's Daisy Cutter bomb looks like in action. A 15,000 lb bomb going off in a lobby should create havoc and one hell of an explosion.
The way they have the score gains setup now seems like it will work just as intended. Red perks favor aggressive play, which means you will earn high score by fighting enemies often. Blue perks are geared toward intel/counter-intel, which will allow you to survive to high scores by using positioning and stealth to play your life. Green is designed to reward players for sacrificing for the objective. You essentially give up being more effective in combat to focus on holding down positions to earn score. Score gains are done in such a way that balances the perk system. If they tweak it, they're going to overtune red and make green obsolete. It's going to work just fine as things are but i can already imagine that players are going to complain about it and encourage Treyarch to ruin the system.
During the beta, I made an "objective" class using Flak Jacket, Dispatcher, and Guardian to get the Strategist specialty and then used Perk Greed to take Bank Roll, too, and speaking as someone who is always an objective player it felt insanely powerful. Faster healing on objectives, reduced damage from grenades, and all those score bonuses and discounts added up to basically unlimited spy planes even in matches where I underperformed. Plus whenever you die you can just take a moment to shoot down any enemy aerial streaks (wihich I already do, but thanks to Strategist I was earning bonus points for doing it) to get yet another leg up on streak score. I couldn't even tell you how many Watchdog Helos I earned using this during the beta. Honestly my main fear is less that good players will abuse this setup and more that bad players will TRY to use it and just end up feeding their opponents' streaks by Leroy Jenkins-ing their way to the objective area instead of actually playing the objective - although to be fair that might be an improvement over those same players just corner camping away from the objective all match, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The assasin perk should be 25 for the regular bounty kill and 50 for the base bounty pickup. If the bounty player is on a streak it is most likely a good player and it will be hard to take him down. Then the extra points should be half the original points per streak roll (starting at 4 kills you just get 50 as if it's just the base bounty pack, 5 kills you get 75, 6 kills 75 more, etc etc.) But with a hard cap at 500 points or so for the whole kill, no matter the streak he was on.

I personally prefer having the EMP streak over the interceptors when it comes to the interceptors function plus the EMP has more utility when it comes to an "anti-streak" streak. I still have a few fond memories of having an EMP in my back pocket in the original MW3 and taking out an enemy chopper ans AC130 at thw sametime ans likewise in BLKOPS 2 taking out their stealth chopper and lode star which in both cases lead to an immediate rage quit by the enemy player Lol.
Air patrol was cancer in Cold War. Being 2400 cost and one shotting my 10,000 cost AC-130 was fuckin stupid. I never had a problem with EMPs and shit because you had to work as hard as I did to get it. But Air Patrol was just, oh play the game normally, destroy everything for free. Luckily I used all lethal killstreaks, so my philosophy was drop more killstreaks then they can air patrol. Pull out the weaker ones first etc etc. Worked for me, until I my KD got over a 3 and 4 people on the other team had air patrols 😭😭 I'd still get off but it was much hard without teammates using Air Patrol to kill their air patrol...and being primarily a solo player...yeah. All that being said, I'm glad interceptors are more like EMPs and actually take some form of skill to kill my shit. But we'll see how it goes. The system for killstreaks and perks in this game feels convoluted. And waiting till 55 for the Dreadnaugt is just....UGH 😭😭
Streak spam might be crazy in this game even with the higher costs for things like the UAV. I really hope LMGs are good at taking them out because the launchers are too slow. BO 6 needs the Stormender.
Nah, Bruiser is for players going Melee Only. You get more score and instant health regen for using it if you're going Melee Only. That's a great bonus if that's your playstyle.
@@KillerUnicorn586 the point of the perk makes sense considering if you had a niche playstyle like that in the past, most perks wouldn't really be beneficial to you. Adding something fresh and new to help and incentivize other playstyles with how stale COD can get these days, should be seen as a positive, not a negative.
Streaks seem great. Decent amount to choose between, good balance of lethal vs non lethal and not so many that there’s just bloat junk in there for the sake of having more streaks. Similar to the weapons list at launch. Love to see it
I don't think air patrol was that bad. I always brought my emp launcher with me in MW3 and that made almost every air streak useless and that is virtually the same
It used to be 300 for a UAV 400 for a counter UAV 500 for a care package 600 for a predator missile 700 for helicopters 800 for a Harrier which would take out the helicopter. 900 for emp 1000 for big uav 1100 for juggernaut and 1200 for ac130. This may not be exact but it was much easier and more fun if you ask me. I can barely get a high kill streak in today’s cod games because of how much each one cost.
There needs to be a long cooldown for interceptors because they were a problem for me in cold war, could not get a streak up unless I had a teammate that was also using one.
I like this better than Hardline because it invites us players to earn points more than just 1 way and it will be interesting to see a class with these perks stacked together
5:07 Ace, can you do a break down of high alert. Im pretty sure youve done it in the past but its been a while. I noticed that the AFK player triggered your high alert here and it looks like the high alert activated from a pretty wide angle considering your positioning to the AFK player. It seems like high alert is much more sensitive than when it was originally introduced in MW2019. A break down of range, horizontal/vertical limits, aiming at the hip in ARs vs ADS in sniper rifles, does it trigger when players look at you using controlled streaks etc. thanks.
Idk if I'm misunderstanding, but when I look back at my own footage, there was a 125 medal for "Objective Kills" in Dom as well as score for capturing the flag while I had only red perks. Normal kills were 100. I didnt get the impression that you needed green specialist to get objective score at all.
I used to love keeping air patrol in my pocket, I wish these perks reduced the 30 kill nuke cost and if treyarch isn't careful I might end up only getting their version of cod because IMO they deliver. 😊
Putting AW with the lowest amount of streaks in the game is criminal because you could turn each streak into either a completely different streak or just add various upgrades
About the Air petrol, you forgot 1 thing The streak system that was in Cold War, remember? Where it doesn't reset on death? For me, i miss that system actully it would be great if they brought it back, but for support streaks only, expect Interceptors
All I know is the interceptors and the SAM turrets will be a good thing to have together. Since I know most of the COD community is better than me, I'm just going to make them hate me.
Just means you can specialise and/or set up your team - Assassins perk for slayers who run around the map and Objective players taking/defending zones.... Some players prefer to stop players getting to a zone but don't want to get near the Objective and others who play Objectives and hope the Slayers 'defend' them capturing Objectives by stopping players focused on getting to the objective..
Variety for sure. Perk 1 slot has a lot of great perks (ninja, dexterity, flak jacket, tac mask) that players will have to choose between to help tailor their perks to their play style. The other slots also seem to have a balanced selection with one not being too overpowered over the others. So I think we get a good variety this year.
There will always be some Perks that are used more than others, that's just the nature of COD and it's playerbase. The hope is that most Perks are at least viable and worth running, to help mix up the Perk usage at least a little bit.
Assassin sounds pretty cool, but that is super annoying you dont get the objective score bonuses unless you are running strategist. Thats usually the best part of score streaks over kill streaks
I don't think the strategist extra points is even that big of a deal. Green perks tend to be more defensive, more objective oriented anyway, so you're incentivized to capture objectives. Red perks tend to hinge towards lethality, so odds are you either getting extra points elsewhere (like the assassin perk) or you're more than likely not as objective focused as someone else would be.

The F-117 isn't even designed for aerial maneuverability, it's much closer to an A-10 than an F-15.

Even less incentive to play the objective. Due to SBMM I seem to be matched up with a team with objective allergies all the time. It already limits my camo progression, punishes my kd; it now also makes 1v6ing objectives even better for the enemy. It'll end up with people running perks and lobbing nades at objectives from cover
I am an objective player so this is disappointing but at the same token at least while I am playing I get more personally. Most people are playing TDM in all modes anyway. I also feel like this means that someone can not just run over the objective for a second and get credit for a capture when they really did not help by being a main target sitting on the objective. I would actually like to see the bonus be more as you are always in the cross hairs when you are on an objective.

Feels like bruiser needs to have some other effect to make it worth it at all
I would make it give you extra score for headshots too though they'd have to change the name
Nah, Bruiser is for players going Melee Only. You get more score and instant health regen for using it if you're going Melee Only. That's a great bonus if that's your playstyle.
@@DeadSpacedOutFair
@@DeadSpacedOut there shouldn't be perks that force you into a very obscure playstyle to get any value out of it
@@KillerUnicorn586 the point of the perk makes sense considering if you had a niche playstyle like that in the past, most perks wouldn't really be beneficial to you.
Love to see it
Oh snap! I just remembered about that field upgrade that will earn us extra scorestreak score too. The hype.
I don't think air patrol was that bad. I always brought my emp launcher with me in MW3 and that made almost every air streak useless and that is virtually the same
AGR skin that is just Woods in his Wheelchair???
😂😂
Cold Blooded/Ghost is gonna be a must in this game because the scout pulse spam
It used to be 300 for a UAV 400 for a counter UAV 500 for a care package 600 for a predator missile 700 for helicopters 800 for a Harrier which would take out the helicopter. 900 for emp 1000 for big uav 1100 for juggernaut and 1200 for ac130. This may not be exact but it was much easier and more fun if you ask me. I can barely get a high kill streak in today’s cod games because of how much each one cost.
I miss the good old days where you got dogs at seven kills, mortars at five, and recon at three.
There needs to be a long cooldown for interceptors because they were a problem for me in cold war, could not get a streak up unless I had a teammate that was also using one.
Im pretty sure weve had an AGR MK1 equivalent in a past title that shot both rockets and bullets
that was the cerberus in bo3
Green speacilist with dispacher and add an adicional perk like bankroll is one hell of a combo.
I like this better than Hardline because it invites us players to earn points more than just 1 way and it will be interesting to see a class with these perks stacked together
Is there any counter to assassin? That's a pretty amazing perk.
Lol. I like the Price Splash screen you now. It freaked me out the first time playing MW3 after the hub update.
wide Price has taken over your television, do not be alarmed
Activision outdid themselves this time - pay to win audio settings is truly next level.
A break down of range, horizontal/vertical limits, aiming at the hip in ARs vs ADS in sniper rifles, does it trigger when players look at you using controlled streaks etc. thanks.
Wow, streaks already dont roll over now. There is no hardline for lethal streaks. Multiplayer gonna be a nightmare for solo players with sbmm
Idk if I'm misunderstanding, but when I look back at my own footage, there was a 125 medal for "Objective Kills" in Dom as well as score for capturing the flag while I had only red perks. Normal kills were 100. I didnt get the impression that you needed green specialist to get objective score at all.
There should be another wildcard to pick 4 streaks instead of 3.
LIKE COD AW.
Imagine having assassin perk and take out someone who's 1 off a nuke.😅
I used to love keeping air patrol in my pocket, I wish these perks reduced the 30 kill nuke cost and if treyarch isn't careful I might end up only getting their version of cod because IMO they deliver. 😊
Bruiser makes me happy
I was expecting the usual sixth sense of acoustic sensor type of perk
Left in the blooper .. classic
Putting AW with the lowest amount of streaks in the game is criminal because you could turn each streak into either a completely different streak or just add various upgrades
I really need a lodestar/reaper streak those are my all time favorites
removing extra score for objective is the silliest move they have made IMO
About the Air petrol, you forgot 1 thing
The streak system that was in Cold War, remember? Where it doesn't reset on death?
For me, i miss that system actully it would be great if they brought it back, but for support streaks only,
expect Interceptors
My entire discussion regarding Air Patrol vs Interceptors was focused on the fact that streaks didn't reset on death in Cold War
really sad to see my combat bow removed :(
Putting a simple UAV at 600 is one of the reasons the game slows down and people start camping.
Put it at 3-400 like it used to.
All I know is the interceptors and the SAM turrets will be a good thing to have together. Since I know most of the COD community is better than me, I'm just going to make them hate me.
No attack dogs 😢
0:16 that death animation was goofy lmaooo
Just means you can specialise and/or set up your team - Assassins perk for slayers who run around the map and Objective players taking/defending zones.... Some players prefer to stop players getting to a zone but don't want to get near the Objective and others who play Objectives and hope the Slayers 'defend' them capturing Objectives by stopping players focused on getting to the objective..
Hope we get ground war soon after launch. Streaks are more fun in those large modes
I still think to this day that pointstreak system from MW3 is the best, just a point for doing something not the support system aspect of it.
What I miss is when all the score streaks and kill streaks were 200 less points to get.
I need the dogs back
Do you think there will be perk variety in bo6 or will there be perks more commonly used then other perks?
There will always be “meta” perks. It’s your choice as always whether you choose to use other things.
@@YungSteppa24 i hope we do get a good mix this year though the greed perk got me concerned a bit
There will always be some Perks that are used more than others, that's just the nature of COD and it's playerbase. The hope is that most Perks are at least viable and worth running, to help mix up the Perk usage at least a little bit.
@@DeadSpacedOut that is something i can agree too because it makes cod more interesting
Harp earned quicker in bo6 than mw3? I'm down!
Assassin sounds pretty cool, but that is super annoying you dont get the objective score bonuses unless you are running strategist. Thats usually the best part of score streaks over kill streaks
I thought the last one was a juggernaught. Thanks
All 18 streaks that are completely useless and offer nothing in the game. Im so excited !!!
I will never understand why they don't bring back score streak upgrading like in AW. I thought it added so much depth to the streaks
The DREADUGT looks like the sea duck plane from tailspin.
AC-119 Stinger Gunship
It's great when you miss an edit. It makes me think there's a glitch in the matrix.
Can’t wait to see my Dreadnought to be taken down by Interceptors
Interceptors are fine. I use to Run EMP in Bo2 when I would play sweats. Same thing.
They couldn't think of one new thing?
You should get more scorestreak score if you get a kill on the obj
omg the archangel launcher it's like the Nikita from metal gear solid 😳 I'm gonna usa it 🤭
Deffo gotta bring dogs post launch
A counter 'U'AV with a cockpit and a F117 called a strategic bomber is just hilariously bad lol
@@drummaghua2687 retired piloted aircraft can be retrofitted for remote piloting.
Also, the F-117 is literally an attack aircraft. The F designation is a misnomer as its primary function is actually CAS.
It's not even a case of it "it can do both" like the F-15E, which mainly does air-to-ground attack but is still functional for air-to-air combat. The F-117 isn't even designed for aerial maneuverability, it's much closer to an A-10 than an F-15.
I'm not a fan of the no bonus score for obj play, sure especially with scorestreaks it can be abused, but it encourages Objective play and a lot of people will not bother go to the objective at all now
Even less incentive to play the objective.
The recon specialist is too good not to use so blue only for me lol
Assassin is pretty cool
