Crazy that's Hilarie Burton, and she ended up starring on the show that replaced "Dawson's Creek" in Wilmington, NC, the very next season, "One Tree Hill".
Before One Tree Hill there was going to be another show that was going to come out that the WB was planning to pick up but then it didn't end up working out and so now One Tree Hill was bumped up to September 2003 instead of airing in January of 2004 and so when the show aired, they only had like three episodes shot and when The O.C. aired in the summer it ended up changing everything for One Tree Hill because now they had to turn up the sexy when originally that wasn't the tone of the show.
Never one three hill will replace Dawson ! It’s not the same story… one three hill got a lot of some fake story of a soap opera who would hardly happened in real life, while dawson had a lot of story who can be real, nothing is perfect in Dawson and everyone can relate on the characters ! I’m a huge fan of OTH but I will never compare OTH to Dawson ! Dawson is the most authentic show we had on TV ! Look Pacey he’s a looser, but looser exist in real life, look Dawson lost Joey his best friend who grown up with him, they are not full of money and they struggle… this is life… no OTH is a show and Dawson reflect real life, knows the difference…
@@hanasalem-666 I meant that it replaced "Dawson's Creek" from a PRODUCTION stand point. A lot of the crew that worked behind the scenes on "Dawson's Creek" made the transition to working for "One Tree Hill" right in the same filming location of Wilmington, North Carolina. With that said, BOTH shows are works of fantasy, and Dawson Leery is no more or less real than Lucas Scott. ;)
@@natashaortiz8547 I don't really think that "The O.C." and "One Tree Hill" were competitors, and don't believe that "The O.C." had any direct impact on production of "One Tree Hill". Although they were on different networks, they were both produced by Warner Bros. Television.
Did not know that! I watched all of Dawson's Creek while on tv. After the first season of One Tree Hill I stopped watching. Then, in my early 20's, I quit watching so much tv. I've been recently thinking about finishing it now though.
Because honestly she was in the hospital for a heart condition for the episode prior to the finale. The lack of creative writing left it wide open. They could of had another cast member die and the heart go to her. But yea.... They just followed through. Lazy writing.
Kevin Williamson said in an interview that from the very beginning he already knew, no matter what happened with other relationships, that it would be Dawson & Joey in the end. When he came back to write the 2 pt series finale, that's when he changed his mind to Pacey & Joey!

Peyton Sawyer first met Lucas Scott on the set of Dawsons Creek.
