I love the way you’ve kept makaiah’s privacy on social media, if I were famous I think I’d do the exact same, showing her from the side and maybe from time to time showing her face but mostly just the side and more focus on me than her. I started using natural cycles when you mentioned in one of your previous videos and honestly it’s great! I’ve learnt so much about my body that I even know when I ovulate by what my body goes through, but when you start using it you have to be patient, use it consistently and use LH tests, the program needs at least 3-4 months of data to understand you properly but it’s totally worth it with how to understand your body more
I agree, like I'm at the point where I can tell where I am in my cycle from the liquid, my temperature, appetite and digestion. It feels more natural tracking this way
I love that you are protecting Makaiah's privacy online. Not showing her face can definitely be part of that although I think that you won't be able to recognize her later in life just from having seen her face as a baby. What I personally find most important is not to share to much information on children such as what they like or dislike, private moments and embarrassing situations, etc. In my opinion, every child should have the opportunity to grow up without having strangers know them or talk a lot about them. Children live in such small worlds that I would never ever want to confront my child with being known outside of their friend group and school. It is already overwhelming for adults to have so many reactions to whatever they do that I'm convinced, it can be very harmful on children.

Waxing is so amazing down there! It lasts way longer than shaving. The only problem is that it’s really painful at first, but it gets better after the first couple times. Right after the initial pain of them pulling the hair, it’s not painful at all ❤ saves me time and energy!
I did laser hair removal pretty much everywhere from the waist down and let me tell you it’s a game changer! No more razor burn or ingrown hairs and I haven’t shaved in well over a year and my skin is silky smooth. Way better than waxing in my opinion

@@greenbutterfly2421 it wasn’t painful on my legs, and I have a pretty low pain tolerance! Depending how many sessions you do, will depend how often you will have to shave. I kept doing sessions until no hair grew back (about 14 sessions total, I have pretty thick/coarse hair). And I would go in every 5 weeks to get it done. Like I said in my first comment, after 14 sessions, my hair hasn’t grown back and it’s been about a year and a half and I still haven’t had to shave!
@@greenbutterfly2421 you will notice after each session your hair will grow back patchy and it’ll be less after each session. You may not need as many sessions as I needed, or you may need more depending on how thick your hair is

So, my thoughts: If I had a large following, I think I would also avoid showing their face... just maybe a family xmas pic each year? Something like that... and I would for sure make a private account to post a bunch of cute pics of them just for close family and friends (kinda like a memory album) and keep it less than 100 followers, always updating who you still talk to and are friends with, to keep it cute and safe! ❤❤❤
waxing is great! the first time will hurt a lot...but after a couple of appointments youll realize that its so worth it and the feeling afterwards is amazing. everything will be softer and and youll say goodbye to the itching and the pain and the in-grown hair. DO IT

I think it's great that you are giving a lot of thought to whether or not you will show your child online. We are the first generations to have our children grow up with social media from a young age and we are already seeing the many disadvantages and dangers that come with posting very private details as well as photos and videos of children online. I feel like most people posting "everyday" content about their children don't realize that the whole world has access to it (which can be very dangerous in terms of pictures and videos being abused) and that their children will grow up to a reality, in which so many random people know more about their childhood and their life in general than they themselves can even remember. A big cue here is possible bullying in school as well as other disadvantages in their future (jobs etc.). And consent is also a big issue, because they are not really able to consent to it all until they reach a certain age. I have actually done a lot of research on this topic and it's not as harmless as most people seem to think.
Social media is extremely dangerous, so I definitely agree with the fact (and respect) that y’all are deciding to protect makaiah. You are not obligated to show her at all.
Girl I totally don’t blame you for not posting pictures of your babe. Literally I only post pictures of my daughter on my personal Instagram and Facebook where I’m only friends with family and some friends who I feel I can trust. But social media is so scary. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve went down rabbit holes of sick people who do awful things with images of babies and the way they’re exploited and sexualized and it’s terrifying. All to say do what you feel is best for your baby, don’t feel pressured to do things you don’t want to just appease your followers. At the end of the day your baby’s safety and security is most important, even over your job and I’m glad you’re sticking to that conviction.
I got a Braun IPL hair removal laser. I used it once a week for 2 months and now i use it once a month and i dont have to shave anymore! Totally worth the money!

Periods post partum are nothing compare to before! in my experience, no more pain, not a lot of blood, just perfect. Don't be scared, it is not terrible at all! (and I got it at 3 months post partum)

One of the main reasons people notice their skin looks aged or start to notice the skin looks like it is aging is because of a decrease in collagen and elastin in the skin. I would really like to ask for prayers for my husband Alex. 🙏 He’s had mononucleosis 18 month ago and covid just a few months after that. For 18 months now his body has not been the same. He was now diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. He is always exhausted and doesn’t have strength to do normal day-to-day things. He‘s not been able to work his job as pastor for over a year now. We got married during this time, only 9 months ago. It has been better sometimes but right now it is the hardest it has ever been and he can only lie in bed. Unfortunately, doctors can not really do much because this disease has not been researched a lot and there is no medication or therapy. We are from Germany and I would really love for people, all internationally, to pray for him! We really believe that God will do his miracles!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I switched to waxing my legs about 4 years ago and it’s the best! Tip: just don’t book your wax in around the time you are menstruating, we are just more sensitive and it’s hurts more at that time. But honestly, if you keep on top of it, every 4-6 weeks then it’s not too bad and it’s over very quickly. The longer the hairs are the more I find it hurts so I try and stick to every 5 weeks. My legs stay smoother for way longer and I also has less hair growth.
We are the same way with our daughter! We have a couple's channel and we are mainly keeping it a couple's channel. She's in our videos from time to time but not like featured in them. I can relate to a lot of what you said in this video as a new mom!
I've noticed a huge difference when I started waxing my kitty instead of shaving. I just take an Advil an hour before my appointment, and make sure I'm clean. Then, it only stings the first couple of times you go but it looks so good and lasts about a month and a half. And when it grows back, it's slow and kind of patchy but I think it's worth it! It doesn't hurt (well...) to try it for the first time and decide what to do next!

I got my period back about 7 months postpartum I believe. I’ve always had super irregular periods and very painful cramps, but surprisingly my period is extremely regular now and I don’t really get cramps anymore 🤷🏻♀️Apparently pregnancy and birth was what my body needed to figure out what it was doing hahaha
My first period was about 7-8 months after having my baby and it was the most painful period I had ever had before but after that first initial one they definitely went back to normal ❤
You are the best mama for her and you don't have to know what to show right now! Take it slow and even though there is pressure on you to show her face and such doesn't mean that you need to consider it. Come to it when you are ready ❤ you are doing so well keep up the good work

About waxing - I've tried shaving, wax and laser and in my opinion waxing is not worth it, especially on the legs, because you have to grow the hair quite long in order to get them waxed and you shouldn't use razor in between appointments. So unless you are okay with growing longer leg hair I would suggest saving up for laser 🙏 hope it helps!
I know you may not see this, but I am so angry and sad!!! So I preordered your journal with Gabe’s book, but since your journal wasn’t out yet I only got Gabe’s book. Then the person who was supposed to send me your journal (cause I live in Ecuador), just sent it yesterday. And today when I opened the package the front cover and back cover were bended and a little part of a cover broke. My heart aches so much, because I’ve been waiting for this for so long to get it like this😭😭 But still the inside looks perfect! My period came back only 2.5mo postpartum while exclusively breastfeeding. My periods have been heavier and my cycles have been longer. However, my pain has been significantly less and other symptoms are usually less too. However I stopped breastfeeding recently so it will be interesting to see how that affects things.

I've tried it as well but iit doesnt prevent pregnancies tho, it only tells you what days you are fertile. What do you use on those days then?

So I’m thinking of doing laser hair removal on my legs, is it painful? How long does it take to grow back? Do you still shave after? Any tips please? Thanks in anticipation 😊.
@@greenbutterfly2421 it wasn’t painful on my legs, and I have a pretty low pain tolerance! Depending how many sessions you do, will depend how often you will have to shave. I kept doing sessions until no hair grew back (about 14 sessions total, I have pretty thick/coarse hair). And I would go in every 5 weeks to get it done. Like I said in my first comment, after 14 sessions, my hair hasn’t grown back and it’s been about a year and a half and I still haven’t had to shave!
@@greenbutterfly2421 you will notice after each session your hair will grow back patchy and it’ll be less after each session. You may not need as many sessions as I needed, or you may need more depending on how thick your hair is

Something like that... and I would for sure make a private account to post a bunch of cute pics of them just for close family and friends (kinda like a memory album) and keep it less than 100 followers, always updating who you still talk to and are friends with, to keep it cute and safe! ❤❤❤

I think it's great that you are giving a lot of thought to whether or not you will show your child online. We are the first generations to have our children grow up with social media from a young age and we are already seeing the many disadvantages and dangers that come with posting very private details as well as photos and videos of children online. I feel like most people posting "everyday" content about their children don't realize that the whole world has access to it (which can be very dangerous in terms of pictures and videos being abused) and that their children will grow up to a reality, in which so many random people know more about their childhood and their life in general than they themselves can even remember. A big cue here is possible bullying in school as well as other disadvantages in their future (jobs etc.). And consent is also a big issue, because they are not really able to consent to it all until they reach a certain age. I have actually done a lot of research on this topic and it's not as harmless as most people seem to think.

Social media is extremely dangerous, so I definitely agree with the fact (and respect) that y’all are deciding to protect makaiah. You are not obligated to show her at all.
Girl I totally don’t blame you for not posting pictures of your babe. Literally I only post pictures of my daughter on my personal Instagram and Facebook where I’m only friends with family and some friends who I feel I can trust.
But social media is so scary. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve went down rabbit holes of sick people who do awful things with images of babies and the way they’re exploited and sexualized and it’s terrifying. All to say do what you feel is best for your baby, don’t feel pressured to do things you don’t want to just appease your followers. At the end of the day your baby’s safety and security is most important, even over your job and I’m glad you’re sticking to that conviction.
I got a Braun IPL hair removal laser. I used it once a week for 2 months and now i use it once a month and i dont have to shave anymore! Totally worth the money!

I wouldn’t post her face because when she’s in school you dont want strangers talking to her like they know her, when they dont. It would be hard for her to identify who are strangers and who she actually knows ❤ for safety reasons I wouldn’t 😢 obviously it’s completely up to you ❤
Periods post partum are nothing compare to before! in my experience, no more pain, not a lot of blood, just perfect. Don't be scared, it is not terrible at all! (and I got it at 3 months post partum)

He’s had mononucleosis 18 month ago and covid just a few months after that. For 18 months now his body has not been the same. He was now diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. He is always exhausted and doesn’t have strength to do normal day-to-day things. He‘s not been able to work his job as pastor for over a year now.
We got married during this time, only 9 months ago. It has been better sometimes but right now it is the hardest it has ever been and he can only lie in bed. Unfortunately, doctors can not really do much because this disease has not been researched a lot and there is no medication or therapy.
We are from Germany and I would really love for people, all internationally, to pray for him! We really believe that God will do his miracles!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I switched to waxing my legs about 4 years ago and it’s the best!
Tip: just don’t book your wax in around the time you are menstruating, we are just more sensitive and it’s hurts more at that time.
But honestly, if you keep on top of it, every 4-6 weeks then it’s not too bad and it’s over very quickly. The longer the hairs are the more I find it hurts so I try and stick to every 5 weeks.
My legs stay smoother for way longer and I also has less hair growth.

We are the same way with our daughter! We have a couple's channel and we are mainly keeping it a couple's channel. She's in our videos from time to time but not like featured in them. I can relate to a lot of what you said in this video as a new mom!
I've noticed a huge difference when I started waxing my kitty instead of shaving. I just take an Advil an hour before my appointment, and make sure I'm clean. Then, it only stings the first couple of times you go but it looks so good and lasts about a month and a half. And when it grows back, it's slow and kind of patchy but I think it's worth it! It doesn't hurt (well...) to try it for the first time and decide what to do next!

I got my period back about 7 months postpartum I believe. I’ve always had super irregular periods and very painful cramps, but surprisingly my period is extremely regular now and I don’t really get cramps anymore 🤷🏻♀️Apparently pregnancy and birth was what my body needed to figure out what it was doing hahaha

My first period was about 7-8 months after having my baby and it was the most painful period I had ever had before but after that first initial one they definitely went back to normal ❤
You are the best mama for her and you don't have to know what to show right now! Take it slow and even though there is pressure on you to show her face and such doesn't mean that you need to consider it. Come to it when you are ready ❤ you are doing so well keep up the good work

I can fully understand your thoughts about wether or not to show your daughters face on UA-cam etc. I think it’s a decision you really have to be intentional with and think a lot about and I want to encourage you to continue to listen to your instincts, gut feeling however you want to name it. I can understand people who’d love to see more family content. But I think it’s your decision and everyone should respect that and also the way it changes the content from the Jess and Gabriel channel. 💛

About waxing - I've tried shaving, wax and laser and in my opinion waxing is not worth it, especially on the legs, because you have to grow the hair quite long in order to get them waxed and you shouldn't use razor in between appointments. So unless you are okay with growing longer leg hair I would suggest saving up for laser 🙏 hope it helps!
I know you may not see this, but I am so angry and sad!!! So I preordered your journal with Gabe’s book, but since your journal wasn’t out yet I only got Gabe’s book. Then the person who was supposed to send me your journal (cause I live in Ecuador), just sent it yesterday. And today when I opened the package the front cover and back cover were bended and a little part of a cover broke. My period came back only 2.5mo postpartum while exclusively breastfeeding.
My periods have been heavier and my cycles have been longer. However, my pain has been significantly less and other symptoms are usually less too. However I stopped breastfeeding recently so it will be interesting to see how that affects things.
