I actually really liked this Savage Bobber by Legend Hobby! I’m going to re-make it in a gas version with 30-40cc and adjust that thrust angle 😂 stay tuned for the flights of it with me and Tail Heavy 🔥
More Power... Before going gas... just a thought StinGR Elec Belt Drive would give you two to one thrust to weight for same or less than 35 cc gas equivalent power system I have a StinGR in 100" Bushy at 22 lbs... just a thought...old_coastie
Gosh I hope it ain't invisible... ROFL I started in the Hobby as an avid RC Groups member... had to pick a user name, after a couple of fly in's and YT posts and this and that, well it became a brand, Lots of RC Hobby people who don't know me from Adam by name, know of me by that handle... and what the heck I earned the name...about 20 planes out there with an o_c brand on them@@FarmerFpv
Hats off to you Zach for going through and showing human error, the contributing factors, and why it happened! Not many will admit their error and especially put it in front of a large audience like this!
Jay love your channel brother. It keeps growing on me! I bought Banggoods Bobber after seeing how beautiful yours is. Lolol the Banggoods only run 250ish complete ARF. Maybe I should just mount it to the wall as a decoration 😂 after seeing it's got a few bad habits
Humility is something we just don't see a lot of in the world.. "I made a mistake"... should be a quality of admiration not weakness... Appreciate your videos!
After that crash I would definitely hand you the remote to my 13 foot wingspan Cub just to see how acrobatic you could make it and yes it has the power and rates to hover
This is why I do not like to fly other people's planes, I'm so nervous the entire time I don't really get to enjoy it, Love the content, keep it coming ✌🏻
I LOVE THE COLLABORATIONS YOU GUYS DO you never see rc content creators meet up that often most times they're all focused on affiliate products, thanks for flying out to jay and making some great funny content and I bet you guys had a great time! You can tell in the video the energy was great and nothing was forced
Ever taken anyone up for a "discovery flight"?😮 Also, as mentioned on Jay's Garage, that savage bobber is my dream plane. I may have cried for him😢 SUPER COOL to see you all together, but idk about the introduction to the club....lol jkjk. Timber bobber? Savage timber?? TIMBER SAVAGE????❤
Subscribed to Jays channel without even watching a video yet just because he was such a cool dude about everything and still kept enjoying time with you guys. Gonna go watch some of his content now, great video!
Very entertaining as always. I did the same thing when learning to fly a friends H9 Alpha trainer. He was super gracious but I felt terrible. Great job guys and great to see some full scale flying. 👍🏻👍🏻
I had my plane crashed by someone else, but this was a mid-air collision. Other plane was much heavier and faster than mine, so it was almost intact, however my plane was ripped apart.
During flight training here in Canada in the 90's my instructor had me stall the old Cherokee in a climbing left hand turn, Looked a lot like what you did , But I had the altitude to recover. Spins are fun, at altitude.
Crashed a beautiful Sig T-Clips last year slowing on base to final. Looked very much like that. From now on when I fly high wing-loading stuff, I'm gunning the engine in the turns and chanting to myself...air speed, air speed, air speed.
the Savage Bobber is so expensive!!!! It's definitely no Fun Cub or Turbo Timber! I would have made the same mistakes. I had a PC-9 that did that and came down in pieces.
They’re only dangerous when you can’t fight the fire aka in a cargo compartment out of reach. They’re allowed on airliners in the cabin (with some limitations).
Techniques are techniques. I had plenty of runway ahead of me to stop without slamming on the brakes so didn't feel the need to change the configuration on the ground roll. It's all scenario based. 👍 -Zach
Ha Ha Ha Ha! I have also crashed somebody else's plane, so I feel your pain- but the BEST is your explanation of what happened. You somehow omitted the actual cause of the crash- the several seconds before the wingover/stall/spin [whatever you want to call it]- ... where the nose of the plane (the pointy side with the prop on it) was pointing too high into the sky while in a steep turn. Unless you have a thrust to weight ratio of 1 or more, that combo is guaranteed to crash any plane- I speak from experience!!! No worries- the most important part of this video was your not crashing the real plane. Take note that you did NOT put your real plane in that same flight configuration- you are still here. Keep the blue side up, and happy smoke trails!
I’ve flown since I was 6 and I just don’t fly other peoples stuff. I have the planes I wanna fly and if I see other ones I’ll plan on doing it but I’ve seen people not be so cool after this stuff.

What a bummer! Sorry for your loss bro! Just curious...how much, all in, was that Bobbenhiemer? I'd like to get one myself someday. Rad plane!
Like the way the pilot was peaking out after the crash😂

@@old_coastie Why do you sign off with your username? Do you think it's invisible or something? Just asking for a friend? 😂

So scale I thought it was a full scale vid from the thumbnail 😂
Same
Same

You owe me a plane, I’ll take the real 182 Cessna you flew here on 🤝
Hi
RC planes ARE real planes. 😤
I love both of your content keep it up ❤❤❤

Takes a real man to admit they made a mistake. Good on you for owning up and it's guaranteed you'll never make that mistake again!
This is the best collaboration I've seen since GoPro and RedBull 🔥🔥 Jay is the GOOOAATT🙌
Humility is something we just don't see a lot of in the world..

Managed to fit my two favorite RC content creators in one video! Absolutely love both of your content. Hope to see that thing flying again soon.
Had a ton of fun that day. I don't get to fly with others too often so it was a great change of pace. Even if I was caught having fun with foam 😉
AHAHAHAAA! Foam ❤
I thought to myself, hey that high wing looks familiar... Turns out to be your beautiful Kadet! Nice.
Jay's page is also great. I loved this video. Sucks crashing such a beautiful plane, but it happens. Jay seemed to take it in stride.
BEST Jay's RC Garage video EVAH!!
typical THP video - typically awesome 😊 👍
Damn… that’s always an awkward situation when you crash someone else’s plane. And 9 times out of 10 they never want to pay to fix or replace it.
Not the collab we asked for but 100% the one we needed!!! Love it!
Ever taken anyone up for a "discovery flight"?😮

Timber bobber? Savage timber?? TIMBER SAVAGE????❤
The Viper jet fly-by at 6:41min is beautiful!
Another banger from Tail Heavy!!🔥
This is definitely on the top of my RC airplane wishlist!!
Jay - you're awesome!
That sucks but hey, if you wreck one you have an excuse for a new one.......... if the wife allows 😂
Subscribed to Jays channel without even watching a video yet just because he was such a cool dude about everything and still kept enjoying time with you guys. Gonna go watch some of his content now, great video!
Jay definitely embodies our approach to the hobby and we had a great time with him as a result.
As a rule of thumb, i don´t fly a someone else plane that i can´t afford for myself. - Yes i am the cave man scratchbuilder from the airfield - :P
Awesome.... So Sorry about the Savage Bobber... Most excellent day of flying... old_coastie
Pilot turning his head freaked me out for a sec 😊
i love to see the collab between these two awesome channels
oh dear. great explanation. loving it all
Definitely seemed like a savage to fly😜
Rc and full scale awesomeness 👍👍
A wild stall, I hate to fly others planes. Because sh#%t happens. And most of the time to me.
What a terrible feeling! I don't fly other ppls planes, and I only let others fly my planes if I have run out of space to store them :)
Real nice indeed 😊
Very entertaining as always. I did the same thing when learning to fly a friends H9 Alpha trainer. He was super gracious but I felt terrible. Great job guys and great to see some full scale flying. 👍🏻👍🏻
Butter!
Great video you guys❤ but the crash was a little bit sad❤😅
RiP 🪦 Jay’s Bobber, I guess it’s not Savage anymore lol
☠
Savage to Salvage in 2 seconds flat 👍
4:16 It was at this moment he knew he f'd up.
I had my plane crashed by someone else, but this was a mid-air collision. Other plane was much heavier and faster than mine, so it was almost intact, however my plane was ripped apart.
That Bronco shot 😍
You've been waiting all year for this crash.
Hate to see that bobber go in but glad all had a good time flying 😊✈🛩🛫🛬🪂🛩👍👍👍👍
During flight training here in Canada in the 90's my instructor had me stall the old Cherokee in a climbing left hand turn, Looked a lot like what you did , But I had the altitude to recover. Spins are fun, at altitude.
Yeah this looked more like a straight up stall trying to climb near vertical..
Some planes are made to look good and some fly good.
Don't feel TOO bad. I've had a very similar experience crashing someone else's plane. ☹
Dancing Wings does a 1000mm 2S Bobber that looks kinda fun.
Rich guy problems lol, transporting a foam plane inside a full scale plane.
7:28 yo that’s funny
Rest in pieces got me
Great video THP!
When that happens to someone in my club, they say the "lost" RX, and was a failsafe. Lmao.
☠
When you crash someone's plane the least you can do is link to their channel in the description 😂
Check out the pinned comment 👍

Thanks guys!
I still have as yet to see a Savage Bobber that could fly worth a darn. They all fly really strangely due to that crazy fuselage.
auch. still a good episode of the heavy tales though. 😊
It looked full scale in the thumnail 😂
That’s the second one of those bobbers that Ive seen in pieces
Great! I just bought the Banggood Bobber, in my defense it comes ARF with everything for meh... 250ish. Not a terrible cost of things go cow shit
Jay is a very good guy
Perfect example of a relaxed aviation loving guy
"HobbyView" crashed his Savage Bobber - posted yesterday. I guess those things don't fly like your FunCub. I still feel bad for Jay, though.
You should hover a bushmaster to make up for the crash😂😂😂
nice content tail heavy !
the Savage Bobber is so expensive!!!! It's definitely no Fun Cub or Turbo Timber! I would have made the same mistakes. I had a PC-9 that did that and came down in pieces.
Looks like that bobber is a turd. You’d expect it to be light but that looked like a warbird type crash.
Yesss!
Been a hard winter in Mn the lake has had one week of safely frozen ice but no snow not many places to fly so I have to wait till spring/summer
The actual NTSB would determine it was pilot error.
A trip to Long Island.... hope you paid the bagel tax! 😂
Is that hobbyist’s super big cub?
This vid is awaome
How do you go flying lipo batteries or is only at lick 30,000 they are dangerous??? I've heard they can't be air freighted.
They’re only dangerous when you can’t fight the fire aka in a cargo compartment out of reach. They’re allowed on airliners in the cabin (with some limitations).
-- Ouch!
did you pay your damaged?
I am surprised you didn't lift up the flaps to get better braking.
Techniques are techniques. I had plenty of runway ahead of me to stop without slamming on the brakes so didn't feel the need to change the configuration on the ground roll. It's all scenario based. 👍 -Zach
I dig it
Reminds me of a time a
I saw a plane on a glacier.

Furthermore this model is of a “Clipped Wing” cub, much higher wing loading ….
Jay told me you’d be flying with with him sometime didnt think you’d crash his plane 😂
☠
Это я вовремя зашел)
Did you guys replace it for him? Or at least offer? #oof
Is this one of the greatest sins in RC. I can't believe you killed Jays Bobber...
😂☠️❤️
My worst rc fear
Guys they just came out with the UMX DRACO
BRUH
I watched this video at one minute posted
saucy
i love this full scale and rc mix mash!!
So fun cub is still better?
😂
Gotta have that piss on horizon hobby sticker😊😊😊😊
I could just dream of owning a 182
First comment!!!
ZACH!!!!!! That shit don't happen!!!! WTF!
Last I checked making mistakes is part of being human. 😂 -Zach
I’ve flown since I was 6 and I just don’t fly other peoples stuff. I have the planes I wanna fly and if I see other ones I’ll plan on doing it but I’ve seen people not be so cool after this stuff.
Definitely a tip stall.
😂
Love all you're videos and Jay's as well! Sad to see but great video!
This happennd to me with a control line warbird Avenger with an .049 Cox gas engine in 1967 I let a newbie fly/crash/break
wow...
#balsabuildershavefeelingstoo 😅
That was clearly a brown out.........
😂
