they are two completely different things. Divergent was a cinema film and turning it into a TV series meant scaling it down. big little lies is a television project born with this aim with an exceptional cast

I was disappointed all on the production team because they wanted it to be a TV show which caused Shailene to not want to do it and it was lead to them completely scratching the whole project. Divergent was so good and they completely ruined it by wanting it to be on TV. Like huh??
@@FlipFreedom1997 she was not interested in doing the tv show because they were going to ruin it, she has said before that she was protective of the character and the story and that she didn’t want to be ruined. They were also going to recast everyone except shailene and theo. If the production company really wanted to do it they would have done it without shailene. Shailene wanted to do the next movie, she said that recently
I really hope she at least appears as Mary Jane in Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man’s multiverse soon in Spider-Man 4. Can’t wait to see her soon as Janis Joplin soon
