You're awesome, I don't speak English, but with the automatic subtitles and guiding myself through the image, I try to capture as much as I can. You're a sampling monster, the way you use each tool with a purpose is truly inspiring. Sending you a hug from Peru.
thank you for all the tips on layering! something really REALLY hard to learn due to its occasionality, and something you are really good explaining. amazing video!

Ayyyy thank you Aceeeee
You need to do a video on RZA
Great video as always, you should make a video about making an actual song, like with vocals and mixing & all
Ah, I don't have too much experience in recording so I don't wanna lead people astray
@Navie D A man that knows his strengths and weaknesses....Respect
Hey , can you make Apollo Brown deconstructed tutorial ?
NOW THIS is how you teach beats and make a beat ! IMMEDIATE SUBSCRIBE keep this up!
quick tip for making bass -
of you have problems with finding the right note for bass pattern, you can just put eq on ur sample and delete all high and middle stuff, put lots of distortion and try find what are the notes you hear
You could just low pass filter the sample and use that as the bassline
or eq the bass and consolidate it and then use newtone to find the note and take that midi and put in your piano roll
Can you make a tutorial showing you edit your videos
Mans doing God's work 🙏🏾
😘
Yo I could use some one on one training with FL. Thanks.
Been dipping my toes in making Soulful Boom bap beats lately and I must admit that it is one of the best things I ever did xD nothing beats Chopping up a good gospel or soul sample! Combine it with some scratching and I am in beatmaker heaven
Oooh sounds like you're having some fun
Drop the workout routine too fam
I'm curious whether Serato Stems feature may have helped in this production?
Cover RZAs production style pleeaassee
Do a clams casino tutorial 😤
I wanna make Kanye type beat and im thinking about buying the mpc live 2. What advantages would fl have to you for this type of production?
Please share the sampling tips with stock fl plugin as my laptop is in bad condition where i can't have any big plugins to do sampling and help out with how to find the tempo or how to put the sample on tempo please its a request please do this
Fl slicer… manipulate the sample… remember samplers had minimal sample time hints the chipmunk sound… 9th wonder wad a FL studio user in the early days so it can be done without all the vsts

@@NavieD Bro DOES NOT know what is he talking bout😭😭
Can you sell beats with samples before you get it cleared? And how do you get it cleared?
Im always trying to sample something off of youtube, but every time I pull something into serato from the converter it never works! Any help?
Have you done one on RZA? If not can you? I love his dark and soul beats as well
No one can duplicate RZA’s beats not even RZA himself knew what he did back In those days.
@@Handle_Edit I don’t want him to duplicate his beats I just want him to make a video are tips for similar beats. Also relax RZA sampled like everybody else lol
AYOOO POPOPOPOPOPO
Anybody know how much the BetterBeatmaker course costs?
Are you the same Navie D who created/produced Cave Crawl and Nightride??
Please is there anyway to contact you??
tips are good but i prefer experimenting on my own, to be unique
Great video, was searching for soulful beats explanation for a long time now.
I still can't fully understand the drums. Everytime I choose a sample, it feels like the drums of the sample are completely standing in my way. Can I just ignore them, or what should I do?
Eq the sample
I would recommend finding samples with thinner/no drums in that case
@@NavieD Thanks man, didn't expect an answer from you directly!!! Keep it up G
Navie D for President!
As long as I am president of your heart, I am happy
I dont understand one thing. You have cleans sounds efter the bass, then you add a bunch of stuff after, that in my opinion isnt really needed. The mixing is most likely gonna pass a filter, and its gonna sound muddy?
So my question is, do you do this cause you like it, or cause the current gen of music requires it?
Didn't know Manoj sarangapani was also a producer
Sir, please make a video on making juice wRLD type beat
karim benzema
This is tough…
first comment huhuh
I ain't sure bout that

You came first. The ladies must hate you
Dope vid as always ❣ but shouldn't you (as an experienced and knowledgeable educator) at least mention the potential downsides with sampling records you prob can't clear? Obviously you're not gonna get sued the second you rip it, but building your catalog with productions you don't fully own can/have/will cause issues for most producers. Would just be good for up-and-comers, who are brand new to the game, to know at least
Excellent stuff, truly, but i wouldnt call this remotely "spuklful". Its just sampling softer vibes, much like Dan the Automator did with Lovage. Its very pop-py but no this aint "soulful". But its good and i love your tutorails Navie.
I like the beat, but this is not soulful like the title claims. The beat sounds more like a classical beat with an opera sample. I would use a real soul sample to begin with.
Kanye West is not boom bap
half of the fun is the search and listening to music you've never heard or even thought about before. digital crate digging is tough sometimes when looking for a specific type of song to sample and you don't really have the record sleeve to give you any information to go off of (instruments, producers, even labels).
I know they have channels dedicated to samples, but they are usually a big mixed variety.
I like to use AllMusic and sites like that to go through compilation albums (similar to those timeless infomercial albums you'd see at like 3AM in the 90's and early 2000s).
Anyway, I'm just sharing how I like to go about finding a random-specific type of song to sample that may help someone if they hit a brick wall when searching through UA-cam's algorithm.
Anyone else do anything different when digital crate digging?
Hi, where are you sourcing your breaks from?
From the internet waaaaaaay long ago. Not sure where exactly
