What does that even mean? What is a ryzen 4070. Do you mean RTX 4070, which is a graphics card, by Nvidia, which has literally nothing to do with ram. Video cards have VRAM built in, and if it's a 4070, yes it could definitely use better ram, because it's a 4070 and not a 4090. But you can't do anything about that. RAM is Random Access Memory, which is a stick you shove in the motherboard. A 4070 is a brick you shove somewhere else on the motherboard. RAM is used by your CPU to conduct "random task". GPUs have VRAM which is basically the same thing but exclusively used for producing visuals on the screen. RAM from the motherboard is used to pull the information for the CPU, to give to your GPU, to produce the picture.

ram speed is really minor fix or no performance increase on intel board. For AMD as long you got ddr4 3200 or ddr5 6000 you are fine. Don't forget ram stick got two sides meaning each may run 1600 but stick all together is at 3200

It's better to run your RAM at lower than advertised value because most of the time you'll get occasional random crashes even though your system seems to be running stable.
The XMP profile for the ram will be stable, and if it's not, that because either your Mobo or CPU cannkt support it, in either case it will work perfectly fine but will be limited by your other hardware. Also you can definitely run at faster than advertised speed. You just have to work out the timings and everything yourself. I had my ram running at 4000mhz for a bit, and then lowered it back down to XMP, because it was pointless. All it did did was draw slightly more power, for like 1% performance gains.
@@mattevans1643 Oh then I guess it's because I have 2 different brands on slot 1,3 and 2,4. At 3200MHz (133x24), my game would crash like once every few days, but at 2800MHz (133x21) it never crashes. Every other settings are set to Auto..

Giving it more voltage is mainly why they may last less, too much voltage may either kill or be unstable depending on severity, frequency can be set to 10000 and it just wont boot, and just reset cmos, its also unlikely your chip will just stop working when heavy oc'ing anyway
If rams not on the qvm list it just hasn't been tested doesn't mean it's the reason for your issues, a lot of these ram issues have been fixed already with a bios update which could fix your blue screens without needing to buy new ram sticks
If you enabled expo and pc won’t show display probably cause your bios isn’t up to date, try removing all power from pc and taking out cmos battery to reset bios setting should fix the booting problem
