  • www.ProFirstAid.com You can treat first, second, and third-degree Chemical Burns prior to seeking medical treatment by using saran wrap and freezer bags. Be aware of the potential shock of the burn patient. If that does occur, you will have to treat the patient for shock. Video created by ProTrainings.

    From my experience, the body heat with cling wrap makes the burn hurt more. That man kept it together like a champ.

      @glorygloryholeallelujah Рік тому +2

      To be fair, they aren’t using it to “make it hurt less”…
      It’s simply to cover/protect the wound until they can get medical attention for it.
      Because the longer a wound is left open, exposed and untreated, the higher the chance of infection.
      (Side note: I’m not sure if this is a troll-trap…but if you were being serious, that’s not a real burn. It’s merely SFX makeup, but it was definitely done well☺️👍.)

    *Thank you SO MUCH for this incredibly valuable information!* 💗
    I just got done watching a docu about the Taipei water park flash fire, which caused 500 burn victims in only 40 seconds (mostly severe 2nd/3rd degree burned victims!).
    And it made me realize that I had no clue how to be helpful, if I was ever in that sort of situation (hopefully nobody will ever have to find themselves in such a nightmare-but it never hurts to be prepared)…
    I mean, I know what to do with typical 1st and 2nd degree burns, over small areas of the body (like 99.9% of burns are).
    But trying to figure out how to help people with burns (even if it was just 1st degree) that cover like 70-90% of their body…?!
    Yeah I would’ve been entirely lost on what to do to help people, until they could be taken to a hospital that wasn’t overwhelmed!
    🥺

      U think that's bad. What about lighting some candles, putting on floor below where ur sitting, falling asleep. Waking to ur jumper and t shirt on fire, luckily I'm fast reflexes and whipped it over head, which was prob foolish as hair lit up but brushed it out then once I was OK had to smother the clothes on floor burning. Scorched chest and hand.. Hot feeling but doesn't look burned, whipped off pretty rapid. Hands stopped hurting so guess chest will in hour or too also. Just feels like sunburn... Nuts, won't be doing again.

      Was it a cone, or stick incense?
      But regardless of the type, why were you lighting it while holding it-and not putting it in/on your incense holder before you lit it?

      Hydrogen peroxide can slow healing, wash burn using water then gently pat the burn area dry, you may then cover the burn with a thin layer of petroleum jelly, such as vaseline and a non-stick bandage.

      Do not do this - all you should be doing to care for a burn is cooling it under cold water for at least 10 minutes, then covering the burn with cling wrap.

    • @glorygloryholeallelujah
      @glorygloryholeallelujah Рік тому +1

      Putting this on a very small and mild, 1st degree burn (like a tiny burn from a curling iron) wouldn’t be too harmful…
      But please do NOT put this on anything else. Best case scenario, it will result in more/worse scars.
      Worst case scenario, it will increase your chance of getting an infection and/or other related secondary complications (like gangrene/necrosis/sepsis/etc. all of which, are potentially deadly.)

  • @R598A
    @R598A 11 років тому

    NO don't ever wrap clingfilm round a burn like thatBurns sell up, if its wrapped it becomes too tight and then it constricts blood flow.

  • @R598A
    @R598A 11 років тому

    if you are using clingfilm then use it long ways, don't wrap

    • @netterjeff4013
      @netterjeff4013 Рік тому

      That’s a common falsehood. You actually DO want to wrap it, exactly as shown in the video. The key is to keep it loose and monitor swelling. As soon as the wrap starts to be tight, remove and re-wrap.
