- A stroke occurs when blood flow has been obstructed to the brain. Checking for symptoms of a stroke can be done by using the acronym F.A.S.T. Facial droop, arm listing, slurred speech, and time when symptoms began. It is important to get medical treatment quickly to help the affected patient regain as much quality of life as possible.

I had a Mini stroke or TIA last year.
My arm did not float. It was like lead, I could not raise it at all.
My speech was total gibberish.
It lasted for about 30-40 minutes.
I am back to normal now.
I teach in my first aid classes FAST
F- Face drooping.
A- Arm can the list it.
S- Slurred speech
T- Time critical, call Paramedics.
We are lucky we have a special ambulance just for stroke victims.
this guy was ANYTHING BUT "FAST" . asking all these stupid questions is like "well let me see are you telling the truth about your crying out for help... Here, Juggle these bowling pins..." If a senior all alone, AND MOST CERTAINLY a woman, is crying out to me for help, and I KNOW that my trade is NOT medical? SHEs GETTING 911 Called...PERIOD... if its a "waste of time?" thats for those that are TRAINED to say such.
If that means a bill? well thank your government for not having free healthcare like the rest of Europe AND canada has.

A HUMAN, just cried out for you. the person is having pain... RESPEC those cries... YES , in a nursing home, some women will cry out complaining of pain...ITS NORMAL that they are ignored. because a person truthfully has to be in fear of DEATH for such pains to be taken seriously...
IF YOU as a young man were in pain, you want relief from the pain... NOT to be ignored unless its "serious" in some one else's mind.
