I don't know if these are premium grade, I can think of many other brands that make has more ambient lighting around the cabin. This is definitely more subdued, but I guess it ultimately depends on your subjective taste.

did you buy it? i went to test drive the velar too and was unimpressed, they had a rr supercharged 8cyl there, and it took my soul and i placed an order instantly and blew the velar out the water, i do also own a c43 so perhaps i fall into a different bracket or preference
@@emanaqeel5259 like you I was underwhelmed and didn’t go for. I wanted to take a V8 Discovery out but of course they were not available at the time and dealership didn’t even get back to me. I have ordered (random I know) a new Tesla Model S but that’s not coming until late 22. I have plans to take the RR out and this V8 discovery if I can get my hands on one.
@@supercrazysane electric is something that definitely piques my interest, had my eyes on the porsche taycan for some time too! Tesla's are next level as well, contemplated on the plaid model S for some time too, that steering wheel is so unique, id love to drive one eventually!
@@emanaqeel5259 almost went for the taycan but on paper the Tesla seems so much better, just not in the looks or build quality - which is important at these prices but Tesla has so much edge over the competition and the charging network, feels like the way to go - well as a second/third car anyway. I did a lot of research, in the Uk and Europe, on the charging network, such a big factor.

@@sugadre123 2020 to be fair, so not this model. Always had GLEs in the past and everyone warned me about getting a Range Rover. But I loved the looks and fancied a change. In two weeks of owning my velar, I had more issues than I’d ever had in 10 years of Mercedes ownership. Door handle covers fell off, on three separate occasions. Electric seat adjustments didn’t work. Infotainment wouldn’t start. Reverse camera stopped working That was in the first three weeks and resulted in a lot of time off work. The list goes on though for after that. It seemed like every time Range Rover fixed one thing, something else fucked up. Which is why I got rid of it and got another GLE.

@@sugadre123 mate, I was exactly the same. I have a friend who had one in 2017. He had nothing but problems with his. So he was one of the main people trying to talk me out of it. From reading online though, I figured you’re only really gonna get the people that have issues, complaining in forums. Those who don’t have any problems, don’t have any reason to be on forums complaining about their cars. I decided to take the risk. Now, the problems were bad enough….but even worse is land rovers customer care. They do not give a fuck!! Honestly, I’d stay away. When I broke down in mine because the car wouldn’t go into drive, the AA guy that came out to me said it’s well known to them that Range Rovers are just not reliable at all. I can’t say enough about Mercedes though. I do 1500 miles per week on business and I have never had a single issue. Besides once when my battery went flat which resulted in the car going into limp home mode after I’d changed the battery because the flat battery had resulted in errors coming up on the electrical side of things. I drove to Mercedes, and they had me sorted in less than an hour. That’s literally it in 10 years and thousands of miles of driving.
This car was released in 2017 and the entire design philosophy was based on reductionism. The simplicity of this interior is what makes it amazing from a design standpoint. Anyway I prefer the interior of the old W222 S-Class over the new W223 S-Class, the new one seems soulless.
Car is excellant ....... Head light is not enough Why is it ..... ? I can't agree with it ....... Benz of cause great in Head light systerm Projector lights gives the road clear ...... What is the reason ..... ? I can't understand ......
Very poor ambient lighting though.... a couple of down lights near the door rests and on the transmission tunnel doesn't cut it these days. Have you seen a Mercedes E-Class? Thats how to do ambient lighting....
lol, awful bling where? All the exterior trim is blacked out from the factory. I think you should go back to design school, the RR Sport looks to ungainly, the glass area appears way too large for the body. The Velar shouldn't even exist, because its concept car looks should have resulted in cramped interiors, but in reality it is anything but cramped. The RR Sport is good, but its too large and expensive for city usage
@@YashSingh-nx7pb The RR Sport actually has more bling, the Velar is the least blinded out Range Rover/Land Rover you can buy, only the Defender has less bling than the Velar
