I just purchased 2 copies of your book. One for me and one for a friend. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Wishing you continued success and thanks for helping me to live life out loud. Hoping to get Paris soon! Excellent podcast. Popped into my UA-cam feed and watching it at 5am in the US. Meant to be. YKWYK.
I enjoyed this interview! Ajiri is such an inspiration, and as a woman who owns a small candle and home interior business and is also a Southern lifestyle blogger, not only do I feel like we have so much in common, but I can relate to her on so many levels. I like the time question; I don’t hear interviewers asking others how they feel about time. For me, the element of time is sacred. I’m not sure when time became more apparent to me. I value time and dislike when I feel my time has been wasted. So, I’ve learned to put value on my time and spend it wisely either with good friends, family, and myself. Also, I like Ajiri’s explanation of getting up early in the summer and staying up late. I feel like when my kids are up, I’m distracted and focused on them, so I get the little things I want to do for myself completed at night, and in the summer mornings, I enjoy sitting on my porch as the sun is rising, sipping my tea or journaling about the sounds of nature or a blooming bud in my rose garden. I am thankful I read Ajiri’s book, Joie. Her book has helped me look at life differently. I lost my mother recently, and it hasn’t been the easiest process, and I was missing a bit of Joie in my life. Additionally, having a family and being a business owner can be overwhelming. I needed to be reminded that life isn’t just grinding and hustling or being serious all the time. Life is about enjoying life, taking time for yourself, and savoring every moment. Thanks to Ajiri, I no longer eat lunch at my desk!
Love you, meeting you after seeing you on homeworthy❤
