Resist Fascism!. The USA church as authority has to be protected from fascist merger with Religion. Already the KKK claimed to be Chosen by God. You all should take the authority church more serious as Part of Résistance. Enter the Episcopal church. 14 American Presidens have been episcopal. It is free from false doctrine and true Christianity. Listen to David Gierlach, episcopal priest. He has a UA-cam chanel. Trump like Hitler wins with the Claim he is God Chosen. Fascism can be a merger with Religion and in the USA it is. If there is Fascism rising, you have to protect all authorities. Also Former Catholics and Evangelicals who ran away from false doctrine should enter the Episcopal Church, fascist political Propagandists have forgotten to Prisen this church, it has not many members. This would be Résistance also for Atheists who feel attracted just a little by the real Jesus. The USA churches twist Christianity to be anti Women, pro Rich (God is for the poor and week, for Justice to protect the poor in Court, that is God from the beginning in the Old Testament, 2000 Times the Bible says to care for the poor). Protect true Christianity. It is of utmost importancel. Also the KKK did twist Christianity to be the Chosen by God.

      (FYI long comment)
Why is it that ANY SHREAD of even ALLEGED misconduct of a Democrat or even Republican who has openly stated they do NOT SUPPORT Trump/MAGA agenda is IMMEDIATELY accepted as 100% FACTUAL by MAGA Republican member of BOTH houses of Congress AND MAGA/Trump supporting voters?
Typically DESPITE Congressional investigative NOT ABLE TO FIND ANY evidence of the misconduct such MAGA Republican members of allege occurred. No witnesses & no other legally acceptable proof.
-YET EVERY TIME ANY MAGA Republican member of Congress or important member of that party is alleged/directly accused by government agencies of not only ethical misconduct, violating government policies, violated Federal security policies OR EVEN CONVICTED of crimes by juries in a court of law…according to MAGA members of Congress & especially MAGA supporting citizens such findings are “fake news”, are “unjust/false” and are claimed to be “proof” of the “weaponization” of NOT ONLY the Federal Justice department but ANY department/committee responsible for investigating ANY FORM of misconduct or violation of Federal policies. EVEN when ANY such findings/judgements AGAINST MAGA Republicans are investigated & found to be true by committees which are MADE UP OF AN EQUAL NUMBER of Republicans. Yet DESPITE ANY amount of witnesses & proven evidence found against ANY MAGA member of government, advisor or donors with proven ability to influence MAGA politicians…virtually all MAGA Republicans members continue to say those are “false claims, allegations or convictions”. How does it make ANY RATIONAL SENSE that MAGA Republicans TRULY expect everyone to believe THEIR allegations/accusations of ANY degree of misconduct…government policy or criminal…against members/supporters of the Democrat party or Republicans openly against Trump DESPITE ZERO evidence being found/produced by MAGA investigations to support those claims…
YET according to MAGA Republican members of Congress & the entire party in general we are supposed to believe ANY & ALL findings and judgements AGAINST MAGA Republican Party members are false DESPITE there being significant proven evidence supporting those allegations, accusations & convictions? So in short..essentially the American public is supposed to believe that any proven, factual evidence against any MAGA member of government or major supporter is just supposed to be ignored AND ANY accusations made by MAGA politicians or the party leaders in general are supposed to be ACCEPTED AS FACT 100% of the time DESPITE zero proof…even after often multiple extensive investigations.
      - Anyone else find that proposed “logic” completely illogical, against the way our government/judicial system functions and is suspiciously indicative of past/present authoritarian groups/governments mentalities? And does anyone else find it disturbing that a significant portion of our population believes & whole heartedly supports that mentality of “only our party knows/tells the truth”? As those who are NOT MAGA supporters fully accept when a Democrat member of Congress/government has a governmental committee produce findings against them or have judicial findings/convictions against them BACKED by LEGALLY ACCEPTED plus VALIDATED EVIDENCE and supports their removal. Yet when NON MAGA supporters expect/demand the EXACT SAME be done to MAGA members of government with federal committee/judicial findings against them BACKED BY evidence…suddenly such non MAGA supporters are AT BEST called “ignorant sheep” & at worst “anti democracy”. How does that make ANY RATIONAL sense?! IMO anyone NOT terrified by the above MAGA Republican view of holding members of our government ethically & legally accountable…truly needs to wake up & also consider/look what political groups/parties with mentalities like MAGA have caused/done both in very recent & historical times in counties around the world! I truly never thought Id see what has occurred over the past decade & is currently occurring in our government as well as our county as a whole in my lifetime. Not to mention the impact in countries around the world due to the influence of what has been occurring for the last decade & is still occurring in the US government…and country as a whole. It will take DECADES to repair the damages ALREADY caused over the past decade in the US(and other countries due to our influence). And that’s not even considering the damages seemingly set to occur over the next 4 years. With those paying attention in our nation so divided & a significant percentage choosing to just ignore everything that has/is occurring…I not fear what it might take to repair our country. How bad does it have to get?

Lawrence, I pose this question to your last guest regarding the spike in crime starting in the late '60's. First, if memory serves, the crime wave to which he references was a global phenomena, with only one glaring corollary: a decades long spike in environmental lead contamination principally as a consequence of a corresponding increase in use of tetraethyl lead in gasoline, following World War II.
Tetraethyl lead was the "invention" of Thomas Midgley Jr., around 1921, as a fuel additive to address engine knock and allow for higher cylinder compression - i.e. smaller engines with more horsepower. However, there's some evidence that a German chemist might have invented the compound some decades earlier, well before WWI, and that TEL was merely a spoil of war. Then, TEL got a rocky start. Midgely poisoned himself in laboratory testing and could not help launch the marketing & production for General Motors. When they finally did scale the production, in the late '20's, they started killing and poisoning their factory workers, for they (Midgely) had no grasp as to how lethal this stuff really was. Then came the Great Depression and weren't nobody buyin' no hi-faluton, hi-performin' automobiles.
It would take a global world conflict and the need for any and all competitive advantages against our enemies for the Federal government to step in and find a way to make TEL a viable "munitions", allowing for the production of smaller, lighter gasoline engines that could go farther and faster on a gallon of gas than our enemies'. Even the German's griped about it when we brought our "new generation" of tanks to the battlefield. After the war, there was no need in "throwing away a good thing" and TEL production soared...until the early '70's. You see, for those not in the know, chronic lead poisoning can lead to brain defects, for which children are most susceptible...like the Baby Boomers...that can lead to abnormal behavior, like hyper-aggression and violence. Sadly, I didn't learn about any of this in high school. Who knew. Had to read a few more books along the way, to get the "The Rest of the Story."
My question, Lawrence, to your guest: How is the myopic blindness to this, one of our own self-inflicted periods of history, any different than the one in 1981, when a potentially mentally compromised President of the United States took aim at American unions by firing some 11,000 air traffic controllers on August 5, 1981, whose only real grievance was chronic blue-light radiation "poisoning", for which they - and we - would lacked the language and understanding to articulate for at least another two decades? BTW, chronic blue-light radiation exposure will make one stupid in its own. Trust me on this one.
Hmm. 1945...1955...1965? Twenty years. A generation. Hmm.
History and context are everything? Regrettably, it's not part of the MAGATS - formerly Republicans - party platform. Perhaps they're still being exposed to too much lead and blue-light radiation. There is such a thing as a vicious cycle.
BTW. I did not have to look up that date because on August 12, 1981, IBM introduced The IBM Personal Computer, with its blue-light radiation portal perched atop the CPU case, where you too could pretend to be an air traffic controller. Funny how we keep hitting ourselves with variations of the same hammer. If it weren't so tragic, it might be funny.
And another thing! Didn't the Romans figure out this whole lead poisoning thing? Never mind. They were too lead-stupid in the end to know what they'd done to themselves.
Anyway, loved to hear back from ya'. Of course, I'm asking for a friend.

    • @MikeForster-v8t
      @MikeForster-v8t 5 годин тому +1

Interesting. I first came across lead "issues" when working for an American company who disposed of lead compounds and plastic lead containing pellets into 1 of the city's 2 harbours.
Then I worked just down the road at a landfill which morphed into a waste transfer station. It's now a container storage depot.
On that harbour, we also had the city's waste water treatment plant.
The local river feeding that harbour used to be great, but was unswimable 20 years later.
The Romans did indeed use lead for water pipes. They had no idea of the risk. That was due to a lack of knowledge.
The Greeks founded western political theory. The Romans focused on administration - the Pax Romana.
