Growing up in Wisconsin its awesome to see the Dick Trickle car. Man was a legend on the short tracks. I got to see him a slinger speedway when I was younger.
Great to see some real old school stock cars, from back when a car was bought in a dealership, "built," and raced! I was at the 1967 FIRECRACKER 400 in Daytona, and still have a picture that I took through the driver's side window of Wendell Scott's '65 Ford, which was running a stock steering wheel, wrapped with electrical tape! ALSO... there's just nothing on this planet that sounds like a 427 C.I. American stock car V-8 engine! Many thanks! 🔥🔥🔥

That Trickle car is fantastic! Great video! The sounds were the best! When I saw you driving the 8 car onto the track I said to my self, "Oh boy, the hook is set!" Dick Trickle is one of my all time hero's. One of the last of the independents. I got to meet him at Loudon NH back in the late 90's. We were racing in the bush series and the Cup race was the same weekend. Dick came driving in an old borrowed tractor trailer with one of those orange Schneider shipping trailers hauling his race car. He jumped out of the cab with a tee shirt and a pack of smokes rolled up in the sleeve, and jeans and cowboy boots. He had everything he needed to race including his car loaded into that trailer. He used metal ramps and oak planks to get the car unloaded. He saw us watching and said, "Hey! can you give me a hand unloading?" He was all by himself. I don't even know if he had a crew coming later or not. I had always liked him, but that was when he became a hero to me.
I'm so happy to see you making these historical stock car videos. My dad worked with Kenny Thompson at Hendrick motorsports #5 Levi Garrett car back in the late eighties. Big thanks to you & Logan for your continued quest of racing history, and I'm right there with you guys checking this stuff out! Hang in there man!

No B.S , no pandering to the camera and you show the real struggle that comes with trying to balance life, work, fun, family and Racing. Much love from Oz 🇦🇺👌🏼
Cool seeing the Hot Rod Shop of Milwaukee on the rear quarter panel of the Trickle car. I'm friends with the old owner of the shop who now lives in AZ and is still building cars in his 80's.
Great to see action at the ROCK, I grew up by Rockingham motor speedway in the 70s and 80s, my dad took us to the nascar and drag races NHRA, IHRA, miss these Cars and the times. The ROCK ROCKS.
Run around Rockingham myself..Pizza Inn, Fish Restaurant the hotspots..One of the last sizzler steakhouses left before they closed the track..I love Richmond County, aka Rockingham..Monroe, Gastonia, all of it.
Enjoyed it! Y'all got some cool content, esp for us that remember the old NASCAR! I remember sitting on my grannys porch in Bullocks Hollow, watching the car haulers (which was usually car trailers or make shift rollbacks) coming back after the Bristol race, headed back to N.C., usually beat all to pieces, and a lot of them was being driven by the drivers! Early 60's. Good old days...
Love it. Only place that you can just walk up and say "lets hear the story" and you know youre about to have a 10min convo with a passionate car guy. Ive gotta get a car and head East for one of these
Another great video. I was never "really into NASCAR, but I always loved hearing it when my dad watched. Brought back some good memories. Thank you. Man, that 59 car (my favorite number) got really tore up. Unfortunately that's part of racing. Nobody likes it, but it's still always going to be there. No matter what kind of racing you do.
That Torino is so nice ! The colors are perfect for that car. I remember a local dirt track racer that had a '55 Chevy painted that blue with white and red numbers. My favorite ! Good to see these cars back on the track and not rotting away somewhere !
THANK YOU so much for showing content that for many are lost and forgotten that track was so awesome back then right after Daytona on our way back home to Ontario Canada You are so lucky to be in the center of stock car country KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT !!!
Years ago I was on an ARCA team, we got hired a few times by guys running retired stock cars in the HSCRA series to set their chassis up for road courses, and provide track support. A couple of the cars still had oval set ups underneath or were just so jacked up it’s amazing they didn’t wreck going down put road. Lol This video gave me a lot of flashbacks. Super fun days
Love the old race car vids they look like so much fun. I have an order pending and I'm not in any rush I understand take your time. Keep up the hard work. Everyone here loves it. Don't stress and you don't suck. Your taking care of business don't let haters stop you.
I absolutely love vintage race cars! I have a dream build that I made in 1/24 scale: using a 69 Charger and a 90s nascar model into a Daytona/Superbird. I made the nose cone, wing, and floor pan. I still have yet to paint it. Great video!! We need folks like you and your lady to keep these old race cars alive! 👍🏁🔥
Man the 68 69 Torino is my favorite race car! Actually the 427 was available in a 68 Torino but none were built. I love it, the stance is perfect! .and with a tunnel port 427! Holy crap!
I’ve got a 73 Charger just because of Petty. My parents bought me the car out of a field when I was 13. It’s B5 blue, restored throughout and I am now 42! Love the 71-74 B body Chrysler cars! Thanks for the video!
Man, great vid you guys! It’s really great to see people who still have a heart for the old nascars that are out there. Those ol cars had so much love put in to them that they deserve to be remembered and preserved……and even better, DRIVEN!!! So amazing to hear that 4 twamp 7 kick to life. The whole pit stopped!!!! Man the days of painting racecars are long gone, almost hoped it was the super flow pink from days of thunder. Ok man, big smile here and congrats on driving a nascar.
I love this old school Nascar stuff. Brings back memories, as a kid my dad and I would always watch Nascar on Sundays. Saw a race in Texas and it was one of the most amazing thing to see live...
Man seeing and hearing those old racecars was great!!!! The other thing I miss is the smell of the old fuel at the track! Great video--sure would have like to see the Marty Robbins car run also. Thx great job! Had to be a lot of fun taking that around the track!
Man it was so awesome to hear those older cars...music to my ears...my faves are the Ford Torino Dick Trickle car, and the Marty Robbins Dodge Charger...would love to be able to drive them...I hope Rockingham can at least host a Nascar truck race...the track just has so much history.
The Trickle car should most likely be purple, as his Torino and 69/70 Mustangs were purple. But overall, awesome resto on the car. Trickle was friends of the family back in the day, and we watched him race against Shear, Refner, etc during the Midwest golden era in Wi. Our buddy Les and his dad built almost all of Trickle’s FE 427’s out of their shop in Vesper, WI
Check out the Mark Martin interview on this channel if you've yet to see it. It's cool to hear Mark say Trickle was a better driver than he was but Mark had the ability to set his cars up better. I'm near La Crosse & the Trickle 99 at the West Salem Speedway is a good event if you've never made it there 👍
Trickle’s 69 HM Torino was, as represented by the replica depicted here, dark blue. Not purple. The purple came later or at least showed up on his other cars. Not sure if his OTHER Torino (A sportsman car built over a 64 Galaxie frame) was purple. His Mustangs certainly were
@ cj Becker Trickle would have been a great nascar driver if he had gone at a younger age. I do t know if he had the opportunity, but he was beloved in WI, so I get it why he stayed so long
@@kurtmillard5904 I always wondered that myself. According to another You Tube video, I believe it was titled "The 10 Best Nascar Drivers Who Never Won a Race," Trickle didn't go South permanently earlier because he was making so much money racing the short tracks he didn't feel the need to. Knowing Trickle's career, I can certainly believe it. BTW, the fellow who did the video ranked Trickle #2, behind Cecil Gordon.
Another great nascar video Mitchell. I really liked the Marty Robbins car. It would be cool to trace its heritage back to Petty. My father in law was a big fan of his music and driving. There are some good rule bending story’s that along with his racing career. The new shop looks like it coming along, keep up the good work!
Glad I found your channel. Fortunate enough to be a kid who was dragged to the track starting in the early 70s. Daytona 500 in Feb. Gatornationals in March. Firecracker 400 in July religiously for twenty plus years. Marty Robbins/Cotton Owens car reminded me of being at Tally watching the Winston when he switched out the carb and blew everyone away. Cheered for all guys chasing the dream while working their other ob just so they could race on Sunday. By the way nice murdered out Monte Carlo. Would love to see more of that ride.
I love information and knowledge and seeing all those old vintage stock cars and road cars and learning about their history is really cool. I like to learn things that I didn't know and I try to learn something everyday and that's why I love your Channel
I’m waiting on my order. NO PROBLEM Logan reminds me of a little tree frog. And in one of your videos she came up behind you and just jumped up on your back. I thought that was the cutest thing ever. Love your show the new shop looks cool. God bless you both. And you’ll get your race car someday I know it!! And I think tree frogs are cute 😎
Many years ago, a good friend built a tribute car of the great David Pearson's #17 1969 Ford,I think it was. This was so many years ago it's hard for me to remember specifics. It was blue & gold,#17. He had a 427/4speed in it. Had all the same decals on it,including the Holmon Moody Competition Proven decals on the hood. He took some pictures of it & sent them to David & asked him if he would autograph a couple & he could keep 1 or 2 if he wanted them. He sent 2 back, autographed. This was back in the 80's. He eventually sold the car. Great memories.
What a frickin' cool thing to do man you guys are soooooooo damnd lucky to be able to get along to have a look at Yesteryear. Being fo Australia 🇦🇺 watching this is just making me want to come and have a look some more . Thanx Mitchell keep on killing it with this kinda awesomeness love it man . One can only imagine what it would be like to actually hear and see it .....Things Dreams Are Made Of .
One of your best videos! I do however miss the interaction with your better half that you had at Yellowbelly. Hope you make the effort to make her more a part of your videos. Love the job you guys are doing! Learning so much and enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for all your hard work ! Always looking forward to the next one.
You guys rock! Loving all the NASCAR Education. I really like the fact that you have been able to visit with some big name Nascar drivers. I'm sure you feel the same. Well, God bless and I look forward to next video.
You guys are doing some real neat stuff in the racing world you have dug into and have grown to love so much. I feel that there is something big coming for you 2. I can't put my finger on what it is but it's going to be awesome!
I loved your video, seeing all these older NASCAR cars brings back some good memories! Especially the Fords & the Marty Robin's car! Thank you for this.
It doesn't get any better than this. I would love to get a hold of a vintage stock car. I think it's awesome that people have gotten Rockingham going again with these vintage race days. It must have been surreal being able drive a retired strock car around the track.
WOW, that is fantastic! If they would start some racing old school and real stock car I would make a road trip out to see a race. Just incredible stuff. Get back to stock car racing roots!
Hey guys get settled i cannot speak for everyone but make it right take the time. I am in Canada so forget having a race car and doing laps around on a track but i would sell both my Harleys and buy a stock car without a doubt. Im just thrilled to see what will happen with the Rolls. When you guys get settled il get a hoodie. Thanks man keep it up you 2
Those cars. That was when Nascar was NASCAR! The era of when that actually used real cars in the track to promote their street counterparts! American muscle!
Great video thanks for sharing. Ive been sporting your apparel at all the events I go to in and around the VA Beach area. Hopefully you both will make it up this way soon... We have many events and shows that would enjoy your companies' Love the videos keep up the hard work
You showed great control behind the wheel of the "Clean Shower" car! Don't think I could of been so controlled! I would have romped it through the gears a couple of times! It would have been so hard not to send it!
Hey Logan can u hand me my hat. Oh hey wait first ,suck it Let's go ..sick upload can't wait for the new shop to be born..paint the walls with cool pics of old NASCAR..
Wow my jaw was on the floor when i saw you driving around the track. Congratulations on driving a car around the track like you needed another reason to get a cup car of your own. Great video like always
Thank you so much for the video. These old race cars are a driving dream to me. I wish someday I could own one of these. I don't care if it's street leagal. To be honest I prefer if it isn't street leagal! This pure V8 sound is awesome and music in my ears 😍
This video is awesome. I love this kind of stuff. The history of nascar is so cool thanks for sharing this I will definitely watch it again Mitchell thanks again
Dude how stoked would your 8 year old self be right now?! Like I'm all jazzed up for you, driving a race car around a race track and filming and being around this all the time. I bet he would be proud.
wow nice to live in carolina.... I am in virginia , just a little too far to catch em at the track on sunny days.... I 'd sure love to go and see these old machines,,, great video i am sure it was a fun time....

100% would make the trip to the Rock all the way from Boston Mass no question ! 🤘🏁

That’s really cool
Absolutely amazing stuff here Stapleton. This is something I definitely need to see in person
The guy in the Ryan Newman 12 car looks like a real Nacar cup driver. Running 29 second laps I heard. 🤩
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I LOVE VINTAGE NASCAR RACERS ALSO!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!
Trickle always ran purple or blue cars until he became the White Knight for Superamerica in 1977 for ASA and Artgo.
You guys rock! Loving all the NASCAR Education.
I really like the fact that you have been able to visit with some big name Nascar drivers. I'm sure you feel the same. Well, God bless and I look forward to next video.
That last guy... Dude... 100% dope guy pulling it with the A-team van!
These old stock cars you can really tell just kind of car they are , just love it just like vintage SCCA Trans AM Race CARS
thanks mitch enjoyed that hey logan
Good to see you guys made the trip down again, (with thomas in the 63) was a great time and crowd this weekend.
When he said that Torino was 427 tunnel port my jaw hit the floor. Sweeeeet!!!!
You guys are doing some real neat stuff in the racing world you have dug into and have grown to love so much. I feel that there is something big coming for you 2. I can't put my finger on what it is but it's going to be awesome!
I need to get that Kodak trunk lid from the abandoned house!
Do it!
Cool to see the old Nascars brought back out and played with.
Would like to see more of the track day videos. Love to see and hear those classic cars and the stories behind them!
another track video coming this week from the HSR race we went to!
@Stapleton42 thanks!
I loved your video, seeing all these older NASCAR cars brings back some good memories! Especially the Fords & the Marty Robin's car! Thank you for this.
Love hearing the history of the cars that show up! These videos are gold!
Oh my God ! HOW FUN IS THIS ?
It doesn't get any better than this. I would love to get a hold of a vintage stock car. I think it's awesome that people have gotten Rockingham going again with these vintage race days. It must have been surreal being able drive a retired strock car around the track.
Oh man what a moment! Driving a stock car around Rockingham! I bet you wouldn't have ever thought you'd be doing that a few years ago...
What a moment
WOW, that is fantastic! If they would start some racing old school and real stock car I would make a road trip out to see a race. Just incredible stuff. Get back to stock car racing roots!
Hey guys get settled i cannot speak for everyone but make it right take the time.
I am in Canada so forget having a race car and doing laps around on a track
but i would sell both my Harleys and buy a stock car without a doubt.
Im just thrilled to see what will happen with the Rolls.
When you guys get settled il get a hoodie. Thanks man keep it up you 2
These guys are walking history books ! So cool the owners pass on the history of these old stock cars
The red 55 that was beside you is my dear friend Mopar Joe, he has raced everything over the last 40 or 50 years from rally to short tracks etc.
Those cars. That was when Nascar was NASCAR! The era of when that actually used real cars in the track to promote their street counterparts! American muscle!
We all understand the merchandize n moving your shop. Enjoy the content. Good seeing old race cars running a track. Bring back the Rock.
thanks man
Great video thanks for sharing. Ive been sporting your apparel at all the events I go to in and around the VA Beach area. Hopefully you both will make it up this way soon... We have many events and shows that would enjoy your companies' Love the videos keep up the hard work

Stapleton Days of Thunder at the Rock lol awesome video love the old Nascars
WOW DUDE... that was so cool...envious much !!!!
I Wish I could find an 80s NASCAR Lumina to rebuild . This channel gets better every single video !
You showed great control behind the wheel of the "Clean Shower" car! Don't think I could of been so controlled! I would have romped it through the gears a couple of times! It would have been so hard not to send it!
Hey Logan can u hand me my hat.
Oh hey wait first ,suck it
Let's go ..sick upload can't wait for the new shop to be born..paint the walls with cool pics of old NASCAR..
Loved the video and the brief jake brake from the old cabover semi. So cool that you got to drive one of the cars.
Glad you enjoyed it! I was hoping someone would notice that lol
@@Stapleton42 HaHa. Ya kinda hard not to notice it. Thanks for the entertainment.
Thanks man
Dude how stoked would your 8 year old self be right now?! Like I'm all jazzed up for you, driving a race car around a race track and filming and being around this all the time. I bet he would be proud.
Glad to be able to meet you. Incredible day!!
Great video, I wondered how Logan fit in with you at first. Thought she might just be hugging roll bars for those shots!!!
