    I love this! Its honestly so cool to see the images and being walked through with the anatomy and orientation. I'm not in the program yet but I had a quick question, do all exams go in a certain order like how you explained here? So every time you would scan the gallbladder you would do things in the same order? I always wondered that

      Such a good question. For the most part yes, in school we learn a specific protocol for all exams and we have to image in that order. It depends on who is reading the images. Protocols change from site to site. Some radiologists want to read exams in a specific order, others dont care and so all the techs image differently. But there are certainly specific orders and specific landmarks that need to imaged for each organ. Most of my clinical sites are fine with me imaging in the order I learned in school with a few minor variations. Hope this was helpful.

    Another great video! What does "make sure the patient is NPO" mean?

    • @JMaeSono
      @JMaeSono  3 роки тому +4

      It stands for nil per os, which means nothing by mouth. The patient has to be fasting for 4-6 hours. The GB contracts when u eat especially something fatty and we wouldn’t be able to visualize it.
