I’d really like an unreal tournament that’s just as cool as unreal tournament 3. Add some more mechanics for damage like impact and such and it’s bound to be a wonderful game
Let's be honest guys, when hardstyle music hits, you see iconic weapons like Flak Cannon or Ripper and you recognize famous map like Deck_16, Morpheus and Facing Worlds - What are your feelings? ❤
There is quiet a bit of lore in Unreal Tournament. Including a few storyline driven games. It's pretty similar to Mortal Kombat though were the original lore was all written in character profiles and such.
UT1999 had character bios that explained where they were from and why they were fighting (this is what the show is based on), but it didn't have a story per se unlike the later games which had a variety of stories (though UT3 and UC/UC2 the latter being one of my favourites funnily enough, were the only ones to really have a more story driven campaign mode), but there's still quite a bit, especially if you play Unreal which expands upon the Skaarj and the companies a bit more. Xan Krieger was an absolute motherfucker of a final boss on harder difficulties (I could literally only kill him by fragging him round corners with splash damage/flak cannon shells around corners using headphones on Unreal) so it's nice to have him on screen in this sense.
i love how they show this robot swapping who he is. one question i have is how do any red eye robots have combat ability. the green eye is the only one who has "saved" his own file and transferred before death to keep his memory. the red one at 7.34 seems to have weapon skill out side of our primary robots skill. as well the sniper 11.11 was not green he was red when he shot revealing maybe another robots protocols being fried
@@danielmarr5938 the simple answer is usually the correct one. To preface the green eyes are the only ones to have "survived a game" and as shown red eyes are pretty dum just standing there. id say the same probably sharing programs but the sharing process turns the red eyes into green eyes and it has to be a deliberate action shown in 6.04. not just contact. 7.16 show red eyes competent enough to arm, buddy, and for lack of better term reinforce there team. i chalked it to military training drones but theres also discrepancies with that idea.

I've been a fan of both series for decades, and I'll be the final judge. The space marine one would be the best if Astartes didn't exist, but Astartes already did what it did and better. Almost beat for beat, in fact. Unreal was the best one.
I honestly don't even get what your saying "this isn't unreal" you have 2 teams fighting in an arena...they even managed to cover Xans uprising that was a footnote on a 24 year old character profile....you know UE/UC is one of the OG arena shooter franchises along side Turok Rage Wars and Quake III Arena all released the same year, Fortnite has the same developers but its a battle royal game and overwatch is a hero shooter that has more in common with team fortress classic crossed with Conkers Bad Fur Day.....I'm just genuinely curious why you don't think this is like Unreal???
How are they going to make a narrative out of repeatedly capturing a flag lol. It's based on the Unreal Tournament lore and literally has Xan competing in an UT before the UT1999 the player wins lol.

I never in my wildest dreams playing UT classic would expect a story and animation about one of my favorite characters ever like this, let alone Xan
My top 3 episodes:
1) Warhammer
VERY CLOSE 2) Unreal Tournament
3) Armoured Core
huge fan of the wh40k, but this one is on an entirely different level
armoured core cool too, but its just a short
this tells a story

Very nice, thank you.

I didn't know this video game had a story.

Im glad we got some UT as its a dead franchise, but i dont like character designs. Its lost that unique charm and is just looks like generic sci fi.
It's a prequel, okay?
UT has always looked like generic sci fi. In 2004 it was comic book/star wars sci fi. Before that, 90s Babylon 5 energy. That's part of the appeal!
