As you can see I've done my first Job Centre Audit in quite some time and it didn't disappoint....
TLA gets surrounded by G4Stupid security guards who are clearly living on another planet.
One thinks I need to ID myself to him, one professes his attraction to me (sorry I don't swing that way pal), One tells me that he knows that I am allowed to film while he and his colleagues surround and harass me. and the final one puts his hands on me twice and attempts to pull my DWP memo (big up @powertotheproletariat) from my hand twice.
These G4S seriously can't help themselves. Considering it was my first job centre in ages it was off the scale crazy. I wanted the best part of 40 minutes for the police to arrive and well I suppose you will need to watch the video to see how it all ends.

G4S paranoia is fed by JobCentre staff, who believe they are entitled to work without question! Helping people into work and/or benefits shouldn't be like this. It's not fit for purpose. I reckon it was better back in the days when booths and bolted down chairs were used and jobs were on displayed cards.
These people do not understand, or even want to understand, our culture, rules, laws, and moral standards.

Most of them are not stupid people. It's the (lack of) training by G4S in that particular role that makes them look stupid. If they were better trained then these situations shouldn't arise.

They are all taught G4S has a strict "No hands on" policy. They can observe & report. Nothing else.
Thank you for educating these individuals, TLA. It would appear that staff and security are well aware of the photography policy, but choose to abuse their assumed authority and try to intimidate as their immediate course of action. This behaviour has been going on in the Derby City Council/Job Centre Plus building in exactly the same manner, for a number years - so far, not a single auditor has ever achieved what you so eloquently did in this video. Come and do your thing in our city and give us all the pleasure of a wonderful helping of karma. I'd be the first to buy you a pint.

Because they are probably immigrants who can't get a job otherwise, and will settle for the minimum working wage. The job probably doesn't require that they can reasonably converse in understandable English language.
Those goons need a lot of retraining. L.A. you handled that lot brilliantly, they surrounded you as if you'd held up Brinks Mat with a machine gun. Why on earth do they need all the security in a job centre? fantastic vlog keep up the great work 👊

Having been in the Royal Navy (any Armed Service will suffice) for 21 years I've been in contact with people from all over the British Isles.
It's a simple matter of listening THEN learning. A favourite expression that a lot of Geordies from the North East of England say is, ''hoy a hamma ower heah''. (Say it out loud a few times). With dialect included, it simply says, ''Throw a hammer over here (to me).
Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Just listen and make stupid judgements later.

We have around 700 JCP in the UK down from 900 and have at least x4 G4S security guards in each one on approx £10ph. Do the math for what we are paying for all these Goons. And thats just what G4S are paying basic security and doesn't include what the government is paying G4S.

There are more security than ‘clients’ or whatever is PC this week.
So the people that they can’t find a job for, they just say get yourself a shirt with G4S on it and come here for a few days a week and make yourself feel important.
When if ever is the head of DWP going to get these Job Centre staff under control. Public exercising their legal rights will be told to p*ss off. A lot of Job Centre staff are also claiming illegally state benefits under false names from a relatives address (next big scandal).
I had one time worked in the Scottish benefits agency and fraud was going on there, I think the people were prosecuted but was kind of swept under the carpet, we were told not to speak to the press if we were contacted. It never made the press I'm not sure why it could be that the press knew but agreed not to you know release the information

Wonderful to see a genteel environment , safe and welcoming , staff floating round welcoming the native english job seekers and assisting them using courtesy and respect . So evocative , and typically the exchanges are all well mannered and civility reigns . This local employment office is situated in the beautiful english capital run by a beautifully well educated english gentlemen with impeccable manners as are all the staff , smiling as they glide around the offices , emanating good vibes and bending over backwards to make the local white english feel , informed , safe .

Every Job Centre is a business franchise ,some offer more assistance than others ,remember they are businesses. You can SUE them lawfully.

TLA, yet another great audit!🎉 Up here in Scotland, the security guards are exactly the same! Not just in dwp...Tesco,Lidle, shopping centres etc...ya canny make out what they are saying! They act like they are in th military! Not just their clothing... The body language of some of these people makes me wonder🤔..Could there be another "agenda" (a few years down the line) for these people being in these "security" jobs? But thats just what i see. What do you guys think?

'To Plod' has done an excellent 1 or 2, but this one is a stand-out! Looking forward to more JobCentres and the differences between them. Heartfelt thanks for doing what you do on my (our) behalf because I'm 77 years old and scared to do it in the receipt of all that hostile (possibly dangerous) aggression.
