I think the Tauntaun has a red nose because reindeer for the winter holiday season have a red nose. I like minifigs, but I sort of like the ship and structure builds more because I think it's a bigger challenge to make cool items with such limited pieces. Do you think Lego should make a set with 365 small items, one for each day of the year, like an Advent Calendar for the whole year.? Like, some days would be a minifig, and other days would be a small structure, vehicle, or ship? Maybe once a week it would be a larger item, and once a month maybe you could build something even bigger with 30 pieces,
Given that the current cost of advent calendars is $45 for 24 days of stuff, a 365 day calendar would cost about $684, which is more than most UCS sets. I seriously doubt anyone (except the extreme collectors who would probably just open the whole thing on the first day to do a review) would buy anything like that.
