Bonjour . quelle plaisir de vous regarder façonner . Merci infiniment de partager avec nous l’amour de cette noble matière que vous avez à n’en pas douter.
@@donavenzulian Very much like the turning. BTW. Do you know about "Tight Bond II Extended"? I believe it's open time is ~1.5 hours before it starts to set. Been there, done that. Nice to have a more relaxed assembly rather that watching the clock. Also add a VERY light sprinkle of table salt on each face on the glue joint. Helps lock raw wood slices from sliding out of position when you clamp them down.
Wow, kitties galore! And a dog. :D My kitties do the same in my art space! I'm so lucky I don't work much with power tools. All that long fur scares me next to fast spinning things and sharp objects!
Yes I always have company in my little shop. The three cats grew up in there and are always there. The three dogs will join me from time to time in the shop (more in the winter time). Sometimes baby chicks in the spring, but never full grown chickens. But the best company is when I am visited by my children or grandchildren.
WOW! You make some really stunning pieces. I make drums, and I need to play with your technique for the diagonal staves (but needs to be a little wider for a 14" drum). I use a large rotary CNC for my wood turning (I have a small UA-cam channel too).
This is incredible, wow! Although I hate to be THAT person..the video would be much more enjoyable to watch if you filmed it horizontally and slowed it down a bit! Regardless, I'm hooked, new subscriber, for sure!
Very nice twisted design. I don't much care for the base, it looks a bit overwhelming next to the beautiful bowl. Love that your cats have free access to your shop! Is there a reason you recorded this with a vertical format? It greatly limits the image area available for viewing on UA-cam. Also, the music is a bit loud. I would have preferred to hear the sound of the wood being turned.
My apologies for the video quality. I have worked at it a little and think you would be more pleased with my latest videos. Please check them out and let me know what I can do for further improvements. Thank you for checking out this video.

Hi Donovan. Thanks for sharing! A truly magnificent piece and it takes a skilled craftsmen to make such a fine piece. That said, I hesitated to subscribed for I didn’t care too much about the music (not my cup of tea but also rather loud compared to the voice over), the portrait mode and the speed of recording Depending on what you would like to achieve with your channel you might consider alter them. I’m always very interesting on how other woodworkers are coming up with their designs and how they made it. The speed of the video was too high and I couldn’t see how you exactly did your cuts and glue-up. Again, if that is not what you want to share it’s cool as well. I might un-subscribe if it doesn’t give me that information in the future but for now I’m looking forward to your posts! Take care, stay safe! __Frank
@@donavenzulian They sure are, Donaven! Glad I stumbled upon your channel. You are way ahead of me so it is learning time for me! Take care, Stay safe!
Would much prefer the wood turning sounds to the music track - it distracted from the wonderful work being done as it lacked the sounds of your woodshop and turning expertise :)
Thank you for checking this video out. I have been working on my video quality and would like you to check out my latest. I feel I have improved but would like any suggestions for further improvements. Please let me know.
Thank you. I'll take this into consideration when I produce another video like this project. I have been trying to improve. Please check out one of my latest videos and let me know what you think.
I gave up about 6 minutes into this video. Narrow picture, bad music, and high speed video. All bad. I really wanted to see how you did this but all you showed me was cutting a lot of strips on the table saw. No explanation of how much, how big, or what you were cutting. And everything seemed so frantic. It was not fun to watch so I gave up. The bowl is outstanding though, just not your production.
My apologies for the video quality. These are my very first 2 videos I have ever produced. I have learned a lot through constructive criticism and I am working on improving viewing pleasure for all. They say "third time is a charm". I'm going to start over with a different 3D illusion design, then back to a similar tangential arrangement with the leftover rips. I hope you will try and join me again. Thank you.

Its very unique. How many segments make up the total 360 round?
24 staves
@@donavenzulian very nice. The contrast in wood color/pattern and the base design really set this piece apart.
Thank you 😊
