Honestly, the first circular cutting board was such a simple concept that I just made one myself (actually, the only tool I made myself for proxxon, now that I think about it). But this one, I definitely don't want to miss out on! Such power! And it looks more comfortable to use for simple circles too!
Okay! This video pushed me over the edge. I finally buckled and ordered a bunch of your jigs including this one. I had made my own fence and circle jig but yours look so much more accurate and now with multi functions. My rough ones got me through but the time has come. Cant wait to experiment with them all. Thanks for all of your work.
Have you ever used a scroll saw with a 360 degree blade? or a band saw? Thats what I've been using over my terrain building years. LOVE the dome cutter jigs!!!! Very inventive!!!!
I hope the original toolmaker of the hotwirecutter knows that you finally made this tool the hobby sensation it nowadays is! my wife instantly nodded this one through as my Christmas gift ;) You are the topmost inventive toolmaker for sure!!!
That's really nice! The circle cutter was the one tool from Shifting Lands I didn't think was worth buying, since it is so easy to construct one for oneself. This version is a clear upgrade though, much more function. Nice work Gerard!
Blown away by how much functionality you managed to pack on top of the base model. The stop blocks are a great idea too, they make repeatable cuts that much easier! I wonder how many more jigs you'll come up with that are compatible with this :D
Hello, may I ask do you have any tip how to transfer inkjet or laser prints as outlines to styrofoam for manual hand hot wire cutting? I tried several YT tips, none of them worked. Thanks.
I am very sorry for my stupid question but I am new to your products and I am trying to learn. I was wondering what happens if with your hot wire you touch the cutting board. Does it break the wire? Do I need to push the foam untill I touch the cardboard? Or do i need to remove it before touching it?
@@Shiftinglands Thank you so much. I am very excited to start with it. I made a giant order from you guys and next week once everything arrives I'll be joining the Shiftinglanders.
this makes both the regular circle cutter and dome cutter obsolete. this is an instant 'must buy' for me. another impressive contribution to the hobby. lol how come some big company hasn't bought you out yet? you should be rich AF by now. :P
Was denkst du? Wäre das machbar? Viele Grüße aus Marburg, Johannes

@@Shiftinglands ok cool 👌 because I have yet to see anybody do this and I wanna attempt to make this myself if I knew how. That would be the fireplace from the 1999 haunting movie. All the stage sets were so beautifully done for that movie 💯
i'm confused about how to attach the 2 parts of the dome cutter part. is there supposed to be a screw that secures the assembly, or is it supposed to be 'loose' (meaning u can pull them apart without unscrewing anything) ? and is it normal to have some 'flex' in that joint?
Combining multiple tools into one I see while improving a classic tool. I love it!

Working on it,
You are amazing! I just bought the Fence and I think this is next on my list!
I had the pleasure of assembling this magnificent tool a couple of nights ago. Love it!
And thanks for testing it out!
Gerard! You are a Genius. Beautiful design, that is a very cool tool!
Thanks bud! Much appreciated!
That smile halfway through. Congratulations on another great jig
Dank je wel Michel!

Helemaal geweldig, Gerard! Bedankt voor het ontwerpen en het laten zien hoe het werkt. Ik hoop op nieuwe filmpjes 😊
More excellent foam engineering from the master!
This is a genius design! Such an elegant solution

Many thanks John 👊

Holy crap man, your a genius.
Danke
Excellent concept sir
wtf ?
ein neues MUST HAVE !
Ich werde es dann die Tage mal bestellen....
oh god i just bought the circular cutting board 3 days ago... so unlucky. I am only bitter because these seems like a wonderful upgrade!
I'd love to see you cut polyhedral shapes like dice out of these large blocks of xps. It's just a matter of getting the angles right.
Well , finally broke down and bought one of these . Now I will retire my old circle cutter
Have you thought about creating videos that show how to put the tools together? I think these would be more useful then the instruction sheets.
Amazing tool! Can't wait to get my own!

Damn. I literally just bought the original Circular cutting board two weeks ago.
Awesome jigs
I've seen cutting hard foam on most of these channels. I'm looking for someone who cuts Esther open cell foam.

sehr Schön😎😎😎
when is this available for US shopping carts? Right now it won't allow me to add it.
I hope soon, first production test was made so I have good hopes it will get in the shop soon!
Very nice! How small half spheres can it cut?
the smallest I made so far is 4 cm but I think I can cut even smaller. Will give it a go.
Any reccomend how to make a hole on the ball shape? Thank you.
You can not cut the inner part out with a hotwire, I think you need a hand drill/dremel to get the inner part out.
@@Shiftinglands thank you sir
Good❤❤❤❤❤🎉
I need a bigger one ... Can you please make it and give?
I clicked the link but don't see the circular cutting board 2.0
It just got on line in the shop.
When will this be available in the US shop?
This tool will be available at the start of March.
What's the smallest diameter cylinder you can make with this tool?
HI guys do you shipping your products to Europe?:)
