- David Bowie's Rochester drug bust on the night of March 21st 1976 along with Iggy Pop which led to his court appearance on 25th / 26th of March where this short news reel comes from accompanied with photos from the night and his court appearance.
The press interviewing him must have been awed by his looks. Nobody had ever looked like that. So ethereal in those days.
That lawyer actually kept a straight face and claimed Bowie was innocent because he would have been arrested numerous times if he were involved in drugs. Good one!

Superficial maybe but Bowie looked his best around this time. The hair, the suits were just beautiful.

Perhaps the police in upstate New York thought he was a bit hyper because he had too much sugar on his person for the reportedly routine coffee one receives in north America?
I would have checked the brief case being carried by someone else. I think because he was so famous, he didn't need to bring drugs, if he wanted them, they'd be brought to him.

Someone from home gave him that supreme bit of advice: act like a toff. So the South London accent has it's edges rounded off, It's compliments all round for the officers - and one is set free to scoot off and bury ones head in the biggest bag of Charlie since Montezuma's 50th birthday.
I like his "toff" act and voice. Even if he does sound a bit like Margaret Thatcher!

Bowie has 2 different color eyes. One blue, the other brown.
He actually has anisocoria, which is where one pupil is larger than the other, and permanently dilated. It happened because of a fight in his younger years with close friend George Underwood. He actually has two blue eyes.

@@Angelaaahhh True. It's just the way the light catches/ reflects off them that makes them appear to be different coloured. At times they look one blue, one green. I heard Bowie comment that his vision in the damaged eye was not so good, but he also agreed it really helped his otherwordly look. Watch that man! (indeed we did!). Miss the guy so much.
