Thank you for creating this arnis tutorial. I have been wanting to learn arnis for years but my sched prohibits me from doing so.This is in my bucket list at 56YO. Thanks and I hope I can get my husband learn this with me.
Thanks for the idea about making it into a coordination and creativity exercise! Having a beginner's mind is indeed useful when learning something, and despite me being already familiar with the movements I actually get to know more of it!😇
Thank you so much for teaching this pattern. I'm I've a newbie in arnis and I've been having a problem with my coordination in training. It takes a long time for me to make sense of the patterns. Having a vid to rewind and slow down helped a whole lot! I'm going to practice this everyday from now on. Thank you so much!
Personally, I think the easiest thing you can do is stack a bunch of used car tires. ☺️ Then maybe put a pole in the middle so they don't fall of the stack. 😁
I know for sure I can learn from master. You explain it real well. Can you please show us how you twirl the baton at the end the sequence, i mean while its up
I appreciate you sharing this information with us but what would help is multiple cameras (or cuts) from different angles. Tbh that would complicated as hell (and a pain in the butt to do) but I do appreciate your sharing of knowledge.
Hey Daniel, awesome to see how you are growing! You deserve it! Keep it up mate! Also great to see how your content is getting better and better! See ya around! 👊
I like your channel and just subscribed it. I want to introduce my kid to Filipino Martial arts as well. Could you advise the earliest age and the right method to start the learning process as i have no knowledge of martial arts.
Filipino Martial Arts or Arnis is really an umbrella term for so many different systems and styles. So each one will have their own way of starting. On a personal note, just try something and see if he/she likes it or not. :) Pretty sure most clubs would have a program suitable for kids. (And would have their own preferences at what age they can start.) I think I expanded on that a bit more here: ua-cam.com/video/BkNnapPuOnk/v-deo.html
My foundation is in the KAMAO system. I've been exploring De Campo, Pekiti, and other stuff informally (just picking up a thing or two from videos or friends) since then. ☺️
Hello, good day. I'm your new subscriber. I watch on yt and I found your video. I thought that you're good enough when it comes to arnis skills, techniques, basic handlings and movements, blocking, and many more. I grab this opportunity to get some help from you. Gusto ko pong matutunan ang Martial arts na ito, at kung may mga soft copies or any illustrations ka po sir ng mga basic to hard techniques, movements etc about po sa arnis ay maaari po ba akong makahingi. Maraming salamat Po.
If you want comprehensive material, I suggest trying out these sources. Pero hindi sila libre. Limited lang talaga makukuha mo from UA-cam.: decampo123.org pekiti.university budobrothers.tv/categories/Pakamut Or better yet, hanap ka ng guro who will guide you talaga. Maraming styles and systems of Arnis so if you stick with one first, your progress might be smoother.
Technically, yes. Movement is movement once you've gotten the principles. Though I'm not sure it would still be called "Arnis". But if it works, it works hahaa
more tutorial videos to come! :) pero like i said sa video, di ko talaga masyadong trip ang tutorial :)) check mo yung links sa description for some suggestions on online courses na pwede mong pag-aralan :)
you can master some moves and techniques in a few weeks or a few months; but you can't master the whole art even if you spend your whole life :) ang daming pwedeng aralin sa Arnis
Of course it would be different. Application to specific context requires adjustment. This is how I move for sports anyo tournaments and last I checked, it works in that context. ua-cam.com/video/T-RdqoT5qug/v-deo.html
Wala pa sa panahon ko na naging isang pambansang laro ang arnis pero kng nag kataon na nag abot tayo.. Pero respito parin ako sayo anak.. master johnrey montes from bago City negros occ. Arjuka team
The heck are you on? 🤣 You don't read my replies to your comments huh? 🤣 If you don't want to talk I guess I'll just ignore you now. 😂 Thanks for the engagement though! It helps the channel a lot! ☺️🙏

would it be possible to use any other short weapon/sticks available, eg. sai and tonfa to perform arnis?
Technically, yes. Movement is movement once you've gotten the principles. Though I'm not sure it would still be called "Arnis". But if it works, it works hahaa

Show me double sticks disarms, your own version.
Hi po gaano katagl bago ito ma master?sana po mapansin
you can master some moves and techniques in a few weeks or a few months; but you can't master the whole art even if you spend your whole life :) ang daming pwedeng aralin sa Arnis
Try sparring or fighting without armour. Try street stickfighting in tondo and see if you swing like that in real combat.
Of course it would be different. Application to specific context requires adjustment.
This is how I move for sports anyo tournaments and last I checked, it works in that context.

Show your tournament real fight side. Join the tournamant. You had to win. If not, noone will believe you.
This is utilized for self defense, not as a basis for attacking someone.
Too much show off. Show your actual fighting style.
