Great video. I have been a BIG Sitka guy the past several years, and Scentlock before that. This year I am trying out a new (to me) brand/layering system. So far, so good, zero complaints! I have thought about making a video of it it after the season.
@@huntfishpa thanks for watching! Find a good “thoughtless” system to easily layer makes it easy to think about hunting and not what I am wearing for sure.
Thanks for sharing. I switched to Asio Gear two years ago. I've been very pleased with the quality and service. Keep doing what you are doing. God bless.
What facemask do you prefer to use? I run into moisture buildup around the nose on what i currently have. Wet nose/mouth + cold and im better off pulling it below my chin
@@jmoore8138 this is what I use when it’s around freezing. It hold around the nose but doesn’t sit too tight. Any facemask will build up some time of moisture unfortunately.
@revive, Is it true in Alabama the blaze orange cannot have a camo pattern to it, but must be solid? It was nice to meet you at the Cahaba hunting 101 course. Encouraging a 34 y/o veteran to try and harvest my first deer, really enjoyed watching the thermal video...and your Mavrick!
@@jmoore8138 thanks for watching! Alabama Blaze Orange Options: 1. Hat Only has to be full hunter orange with only small leather patch Or 2. Hat with camo blaze and a solid hunter blaze orange vest
The best camo is sit down, shut up and don't move. Most hunters now are on their phones and not even interested in really hunting. They just want to post on social media that they are hunting to get views. Our grandfathers wore red flannel shirts and jeans while drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. Camo doesn't kill game.
I def think material is more important than pattern
Yep, the pattern is about 10% of what makes any quality camo great in my opinion

I’m a firstlite guy, I’ve been pretty happy with it. I like Origin being made in USA but in my opinion they are just not fully there with variety yet.
@@wrenchspinner101 firstlite is nice. Hopefully Origin will get there 😎👍
