Today, I will be accomplishing another thing I have never seen done before and that is ranking all of the character upgrades from worst to best. This list was challenging for me to make and I put a lot of effort into making this video. These are my opinions on what the best and worst character upgrades are in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2. Remember these are my opinions, so don't take them too seriously!

I think that the health upgrade for armour chomper is supa useful👹👍

the cloud life and radius are insanely good on all 3 characters, radius can litterly allow u to damage someone thought a very big wall, the radius makes the cloud the size of 4 dummies which means it can penetrate a wall as big as 2 dummies, i find cloud life useful but only with cloud radius, those 2 upgrades i always run on my characters

Cloud characters are super underrated. Alien, toxic Citron and park are all fantastic mid to long range spammers.
The digestion upgrades is amazing for any chomper because if you fight against certain characters like the all-star who has so much health then you would prefer to eat them. And you also see another enemy come in. It's good for getting instant kills faster. And the cloud radius increase is so good. I play alien flower and people will try to hide or move around and if you hit a direct shot you will be given +4 damage no matter what.
Also because 99% of chomper players just swallow you anyway and chomper is actively discouraged from using his primary over his swallow because of burrow and spikeweed on top of doing shit for damage. The only reason chompers can even get bite kills anyway is because they have the 2nd best health on plants excluding torch.
And cloud characters are so damn good. Super underrated.
I 100% agree with this. In my road to Max rank I got to play all characters and see how upgrades changed them along the way, and this is extremely accurate to what I experienced lol
I agree with the legendary meter. It should be exactly one kill less or so, not a decimal. This should be the same with the digestion upgrade with how terrible chompers are.
There is going to be a disclaimer for this one, and that involves the scuba soldier when using the sonar upgrade. You can use the sonar to detect enemies when using a long range to know where the enemies are, so that way they could be able to flank them not only the scuba soldier is good for damage, but also good for support as well. It should be a little bit higher on the list because it’s it’s good for damage and support

overheat penalty can also be applied to super brainz, but its not really that useful since you arent gonna be using the beam that much anyways

2 digestions is what almost every chomper gets, and combine that with damage or speed and it makes chompers very good.

Speed is really good on imps, but other than that i haven't seen it used at all
Does 5% really make that big of a difference though?
For imps, moving fast is most of what keeps them alive, so even that 5% makes a difference. Other than damage, speed is the best upgrade for imps, since imps reload fast anyway and the extra speed is generally saving you more than 10 hp. This is especially true if you play very agresive, and it also helps a lot with playing hit and run. For imps i generally run damage, speed and health, and when i tried playing without speed i found myself dieing almost twice as much

I was expecting to see the freeze upgrade at number 1 cuz the way it transforms certain characters like the Ice peashooter and frost rose is ABSURD. But reload also turns characters that are actually shit to God tier. So Yeah I think Reload is by far the best in the game cuz it has a wider effect on a lot more characters than the freeze upgrade does.
My top 3 are

2. Frost
1. Reload
Gotta say even tho I played Gw 2 for a while now I still learned alot from this video.
Firstly how bad the toxic upgrade is, I thought it would generally increase the poison effect spread, so that you can apply it more easily and get more of those 3 damage ticks that you sometimes get.
Secondly how bad the speed upgrad can be, but gotta say, speed is an important factor for some classes and if it's 5% of the character speed and not a set amount it obviously depends on the class and variant. For example it would be terrible on armored chomper but great on hot-rod chomper since it scales with their base speed, now I just wonder if it actively scales in-game (like if you use citron ball mode or engineer jack-hammer do you then get the 5% speed of the speed-boosted mode?).
Then that the overheat delay upgrade is only for when you actually overheat, I assumed it would also make the weapon cooldown faster in between, so that you can fire in bursts without overheating as quickly.
And then of course the more specific upgrades like cloud, vampiric & party time, but for cloud upgrades I think it's not as bad as you say when you look at the statistics.
The park ranger only gets a 7.5% bigger cloud and it stays one tick with duration upgrade so yeah thats bad. But citron gets 8.8% bigger clouds (that apply poison) and the duration upgrade allows the cloud to tick twice, increasing the amount of ticks by 100% (even tho it's only a 2 damage tick). And then with Alien flower it's a 10% radius increase for the clouds and a 50% tick increase from 2 -> 3 ticks that each deal 4 damage so I honestly think you should consider the upgrades for citron and especially for Alien flower.
Penetration upgrade is better suited for garden/graveyard ops as lining up A.I is pretty easy and helpful to end waves fast when being spammed. Don't believe it's entirely a troll as it does serve its purpose in a different game mode. No hate, just sayin'.

I think it’s a decent idea to at least have one digestion upgrade on any chomper for one reason. You eat a lot of people on accident sometimes, and honestly that’s probably what gets you killed more often than not. It’s not that much better with one, but there really aren’t that many different upgrades you’d want besides damage and maybe a speed if there isn’t anything else.

Ain't no way you put speed under zoom. Objectively incorrect. The only time I have ever used zoom is when I literally only have zoom, health regen delay and health regen. I immediately get rid of it for speed on every single character.
I hate how they didn't add electro upgrade and charge upgrade
i mean speed upgrade for sunflowers is pretty good even if its only 5% sunflower already moves faster and sunflower *needs* this speed upgrade most of the times
If i remember correctly, the penetration upgrade could help you shoot through all star dummies and anything blocking a objective

Another thing about the fire upgrade, with Fire Rose a fully charged shot can kill an imp, so decent utility ig.

these videos are sick, I wish the community had a more competitive outlet for team play as well, that would be pretty fun.
As a base all star main the overheat upgrades are an unncessary luxury, if you play and position with your character's overheat in mind, you don't need it, even if you do overheat or get close to overheating you can just use a special move so you dont have to do nothing as you overheat
Fire upgrade is overrated.
Zoom is quite good on peashooter as he has good hipfire accuracy for one close range is needed, but is miserable on most other characters

I been playing gw2 for a while and still haven’t maxed out 1 character and I was wondering should I focus on 1 character and max them out or focus on one group and level them up to 1 level?
I personally pick one zombie and one plant and play them both depending on the team I get put on and just continue playing them both until they're maxed out and then I just do it again with a different pair

Tbh I think you might be almost underrating homing upgrade by just a pinch. It takes every single rose from only ok to INSANE.
Also reload is definitely not better than damage or homing imo.
personally I feel like the damage upgrade is the best, it can turn really good characters to straight up broken, take party corn for example, he's good on his own but it can take quite a while to kill enemies with his primary BUT with damage upgrade he can mow most enemies down with ease
I like zoom on corn since he is so inaccurate I typically end up burst firing, zoom lets me ads and have to tap fire less

I have an elgato capture card that I can hook up to obs and récord from there. When I’m done recording gameplay is already downloaded to my pc. I started just downloaded captures from the Xbox app and editing on my phone lol but I’ve come a long way 😂

11:15 incorrect, disco chomper was my main for a very long time, and without meter it is 5, with is 4, iron citron was im pretty sure 1 kill would fill up very little of the mode, computer is 5 but the meter doesnt do a whole lot for it to go down to 4.
No it is true. Without the upgrade it takes 4 players/heroes swallowed to reach the legendary mod for disco chomper (0.25 per swallow). The meter upgrade for disco chomper boosts value of swallowing a player/hero to 0.31 which still takes 4 to fill up the meter unless you vanquish an ai

Well yes it’s a statistical upgrade unlike an upgrade like the zoom, but there are no instances it should ever be ran over any of the abilities higher than it
@@chumprizzle if youre playing Lawnathon part 1 with a scientist it's great for chasing people and you can actually catch up to people running away from u even when they're in citron ball
The speed is still pretty minimal. Especially since scientists have pretty small clips, the ammo and reload upgrades are nice and so is the damage

Usually i trust your opinion over anyone elses and my own included, but i rekon you are just wrong about speed. 5% isnt insane but it cant be compared as being worse than the other 10% bonuses for ammo and such. Just as a couple extra bullets may not help you secure a kill but sometimes will, extra speed can give you the edge in situations here and there which is not immediately obvious but its a good upgrade

Don't underestimate Cloud Characters, sure Toxic Citron is mediocre. But, Alien Flower and Park Ranger are bad? Come on, they wreck characters in any mode minus Team Vanquish and Vanquish Confirmed.
health regen delay and health regen upgrade are only useful on a character like chomp thing, thats litterly it.
Speed isnt op, but i notice it on most characters. It is pretty significant on fast characters bcz its a percent, even of its only 5.
It would put 8 mps to 8.4 mps which is decent
Hot rod getting 2 means he would move at about 9 meters per second, though i will check stats to update

in my opinion the overheat delay is meh but combined with the overheat penalty and you got a base fire rate increase I use this with all star with a damage upgrade to get the max dps.
A health regen upgrade is also worth considering for the all stars imo over the delay

15:30 it's incorrect. Base non-upgraded fire deals 4 damage 4 times and upgraded fire deals 5 damage 4 times.
No it’s correct. Fire characters have a fire duration that lasts 3.75 seconds per shot. Each fire tick takes place 0.75 seconds in between each other. 3.75/0.75 = 5 so you get 5 ticks per shot not 4
