This was the very first edition of Most Haunted. Recorded in the summer of 2001. This pilot was then given to a raft of channels, many who turned the idea down, but Living TV agreed to but it, with one clause, their first series would only be half hour episodes, running for around 24 minutes without ads. Karl decided though to always make a 45 minutes (one hour) edition of the first series, which is why they broadcast the "Unseen" edition after series one aired and was hugely popular.
My three trips to this priory was very fruitful. Two of us saw a shadow of a cloaked man walk from the priors room, the cupboard door opened when nobody was near it, a ball was rolled across the floor and someone unseen rolled it back!. Smell of broth were in the gatehouse, object was thrown in a bedroom. Doors open and slam shut on their own. Loved it.
I love this serial. This was the opening investigation serial for me. Followed a lot of then after. Was nice to get a fresh breath off them again.. Thanks :)

Most Haunted returned to Michelham Priory in 2006 to celebrate their 100th edition - on that time the medium was David Wells & the parapsychologist was Ciaran O'Keeffe. That episode aired on 27th June 2006 on Living TV. Only Yvette & Karl were the original team members who came back to the priory in 2006.
whether Derek is a fake or not I still love the show. Even if it's not real I just love thinking about the paranormal I'd like to think there is a spirit in my house, because one time I thought my sister was upstairs cause I could hear walking up in her room. A few hours later she comes in through the front door and I was like "I thought you were upstairs" and she said "no, I was at work." and my mind was blown

i think derek is true, but that he got caught out trying to add info he heard to what he is given,also he is very dramatic and fakes possession,no need for him to do that,i think he gets genuine psychic info but then he acts i dont think he really gets possessed.he knows that viewers love drama.
It was an episode called Prideaux Place. The full story is that Ciaran O'Keefe invented two characters called Rik Eedels and Kreed Kafer in an attempt to catch him out. Kreed Kafer was the first one in an episode set in Bodmin Gaol. He asked a member of the crew to mention it to Derek. They did and later on Derek became possessed by the character. Rik Eedels was supposedly a highwayman, again made up. And again Derek became possessed by him. The names are anagrams of Derek Faker and Derek Lies.
I got chills, but nothing like "The Exorcist" or "Paranormal Activity" has happened so if there are spirits they probably mean no harm. There are quite a few stories that surround the paranormal with my family, mainly with me, and my two sisters. We've actually almost gone sort of ghost hunting for fun.
I think Kaylea and Samuel have the right attitude. Fake or not (and there seems to be some proof that a certain amount of staging takes place) it's very entertaining.
I had my doubts about Acorah from the start, there seemed something off about him. I prefer David Wells. However at the beginning of the series, Yvette said if they find nothing, we'll see nothing but like most people said, maybe the fame and money got to them a little bit. Though there is times in the series that I have questioned my belief in the paranormal wether it be more or less however its very good entertainment despite the fact it may be real or not :)
I hated the parapsychologist Jason Karl I think he was cute but he seemed very arrogant and self-centered and he always looked like he looked down his nose at everyone else in my opinion
Fake or not it's hilarious the way he just gets up from his seat and starts walking up and down. The crew can't believe what they're seeing. I know he was proven to be a fake in series 6 but this performance is very believable to me. He seems to be in a world of his own.

Love Derek , he has made some bad choices but does not take the fact away he is a fantastic medium
