When SCTV started airing late Friday night I fell in love with it immediately. SNL was on the skids for the first time with a new cast and it was great to see another show doing smart satire and parodies. The original cast included Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Joe Flaherty, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, John Candy, and Andrea Martin. No other TV comedy show has surpassed that lineup for sheer talent and versatility. Each member contributed spot on impressions of celebrities, allowing them to do the seemingly impossible in mixing genres. Consider their Casablanca sketch, a genius mix of the movie with the Road movies starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Thomas as Hope and Flaherty as Crosby were phenomenal and the dialog was a perfect recreation of the quips and one liners that Hope and Crosby were famous for. What other show could do a running gag of a Woody Allen comedy that featured perfect impressions of not just Woody, but George Carlin? Who else would even come up with a premise like that. The original SNL came close at times thanks to a deep bench of talent that included Dan Aykroyd and Lorraine Newman, but that was it. Andrea Martin was a truly talented performer and I'm glad to see her still killing it.
@@scifiwriter98 The show was done in Toronto Canada. All the cast were (are?) Canadian, which is probably why it didn't get the recognition it deserved.
Demons are everywhere! they do not take physical form; they don't need to! all they have to do is seek the weakest! at any one time. and Tempt Us. Pray! always to be shielded from them. Amen.
What's pretty sad to me, is that many churches and pastors admit to the existence of demons and evil spirits, yet often times when those spirits (or the product of those spirits) make themselves apparent, many churches ignore and push it to the side, as if it's not a problem at all. Those churches are run by the devil himself.
I think the danger comes when you say "a demon made me..." and forget you have free will & have to let them in initially. Or those who forget the devil exists & simply blame God, on the other hand. Grace, confession (in non-religious circles that's now called accountability) and forgiveness, belief & love are still the important bits.
I mean, protecting priests/clergy/anyone who abuses kids is basically doing exactly that...like..ya know. They preach water and drink the blood of the innocent.
ALL CHURCHES. Except the Curch of Satan surprisingly. They are the most honest religion on earth. Mantra: YOU are the ruler of YOUR world. YOUR decisions are ONLY YOUR OWN. The demon following and touching the man indicates that it has already ensared his heart with temptations and sin. Its smile and arrogance come from the fact that the ones who should be banishing it in the name of Christ actively ignore or disbelieve its presence/existence. The very fact that the demon can touch the man proves that he is not a true believer, as the Bible repeatedly states that all those who truly repent and trust in Jesus are guarded by the Holy Spirit, meaning that the only way a demon can reach you is through temptations and lies. It's an interesting scene with far more depth than many people realize.
No. Actually, demons are more dangerous if you are closer to god, because they are more tangible to aeone closer to the the Spiritual side of things. The good news is you can hurt them, as can the angels that are more likely to defend you.
@orionar2461 No, the Holy Spirit protects the true believers of Jesus Christ from the direct danger of demons. A person who places their trust in Jesus and follows Him has been bought at a high price, and the Lord guards that which is His. As a Christian, your soul belongs to God, and Satan's followers have no power to claim it or even touch you. The most they can do is whisper to you, creating temptations, stirring up your sin nature, and drawing out intrusive thoughts. These things are extremely dangerous in and of themselves, as demons are the masters of manipulation and deceit. The only true defense, and the only one needed, is calling on the name of Jesus Christ. His name carries such power that the devil can not stand against it and is forced to flee from it.
The guy asking knows the demon is there as he is working with them. In fact he is the one accusing her of 'decline' to try and get rid of her because she is their biggest adversary.
A crazy woman seeing this and a woman that had blessed sight are two different things when a woman has a certain power to tell men off especially when it’s spoken and brought out in pure faith knowing that it’s there and manifesting it has a sway to it

Never saw a nun getting “retired”… Once a nun, forever a nun. Also a nun has to live in a monastery and once there they don’t leave it until their death.
It depends on the work their communities do. "Retirement" doesn't really make sense for a contemplative order but sisters who teach probably need to stop teaching at some point. It could also be appropriate to expect retirement from leadership roles.
Nuns live in convents, not monasteries!🤣 Monks live in a monastery; monks are men. 😂 Also, nuns sometimes ARE retired if deemed necessary. Nuns are also transferred to other convents depending on what kind of work they do.
When I was in my late teens, I swear up-and-down that the house I lived in was haunted. I used to hear footsteps upstairs when nobody was home and see shadows moving in dark rooms. It wasn’t until I was in my early 20s that somebody delivered the concept that ghosts don’t exist and any bad spirits are of demonic origin. It made me recall some of the more terrifying experiences I had and to this day gives me the willies.
Not entirely true, I'm a medium and there's a lot of normal entities and spirits. Ghosts are real, but for whatever reason they don't think they're dead or just can't move on. Either through fear of the other side, a grudge or some unfinished buisness. A few weeks before we moved into our new house, I accurately made out a female spirit with just one visit to the house prior to moving in. I warned my parents about it, that there was a spirit there but they brushed it off. Made me feel crazy for weeks leading up to the move in until they told me one morning about a girl around my age that left this life at the nearby park; that she had lived in the house we just moved into. Strangely, I already knew she offed herself, but I didn't know the circumstances around it. Left the parents devastated. Well, for two weeks she stayed in the house and actually talked to me. Saying hello, and just trying to get some acknowledgement from me. I got the feeling she felt terrible about committing s*icide and wanted to apologize to her parents. For those whole two weeks I could feel how she felt, was the strongest sensation of sadness I felt in my life. I even recognized her mother despite never meeting the mother. Well, after two weeks she left. I got the feeling she went with her parents and that's that. There's nothing here now. I have other stories too, but trust me when I say this you know when it's a demon. At least mediums do. The absolute sense of dread, fear and negative emotion drives me instantly up a wall. They'll do more than bang around at night and wake you up. They have a really masterful way of manipulating the Human spirit through physical harm and emotional trauma.
I f****** hate these clip people cuz they always show off these cool clips of shows with no context and for some reason they just fail every time to put the name of the show in the clip or in the comments or in the description it's baffling to me

More of a technical direct depiction of the effects of evil in the world, in a most practical sense.
Highly entertaining and informative, while being funny with a good storyline.
On a scale of 1-10, 1 being garbage, 10 being phenomenal - I give it an 8 &1/2 ⭐

What channel air this? Can you find it on UA-cam?
That’s completely accurate. Demons are really relaxed when they are well fed, just like humans. I’ve met several in a few of the places I’ve guarded.
Nice to see Mr. Finch survive the Machine's War with Samaritan.
Not nice to see he's traded his power granted for use by the Machine for power granted for use by another all seeing power.
Finally a person of interest reference❤❤
The show is underrated and need to be more popular!
He's now on Elsbeth as a judge.

I think that he clings only to bad people, and didn't have a problem with the nun who despite her religion was polite to him.

Demon -"can I tempt you this evening"
Nun- "I'm sorry but my faith is strong for you to waiver"
Demon- "understandable, good day"
Somebody please tell me the movie name 🙏
Having been attacked by occultists for many years now. I can attest that demonic presence is not treated like this by the church but with compassion and understanding.
The Demon chilling, smiling, and waving back took me out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The church is supposed to fight against demons but you can't fight what you refuse to acknowledge. Doing the Devil's work. 😆 HA!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Andrea Martin is just a fantastic all around actor! She's been great in everything she has been in now and going all the way back to SCTV.
And Black Christmas (1974)
I thought that was Andrea Martin but I wasn't sure. I haven't seen her in years.
@@scifiwriter98 The show was done in Toronto Canada. All the cast were (are?) Canadian, which is probably why it didn't get the recognition it deserved.

I like how this implies demons take amusement in being seen lol
It takes amusement in knowing that they are knocking out one of their biggest adversaries.
I mean would you wanna live possibly hundreds of years without being acknowledged even though you're blamed for so much?
No, they're just afraid to believe. Not everything is "the devil".
ALL CHURCHES. Except the Curch of Satan surprisingly. They are the most honest religion on earth.
Mantra: YOU are the ruler of YOUR world.
YOUR decisions are ONLY YOUR OWN.
YOUR responsibility is to ONLY YOURSELF.
Honestly, its the most american religion there ever was, i mean it was created IN THE UNITED STATES JUST LIKE THE INSANE SOAKING MORMONS

Show is called, "Evil". It is on netflix!
It gets so much clearer when you get that the "devil" is a job, hell was made up by the church, rebirth into this "reality" is the punishment, and the "demons" are mostly your own. Which is why the Good die young as they've actually passed the test. Frelling Coppertops

"Mm, no. You know, I don't know what I saw"
"Cut the bullshit, Zachariah, you know what I saw, and you know what you saw"
The demon following and touching the man indicates that it has already ensared his heart with temptations and sin.
Its smile and arrogance come from the fact that the ones who should be banishing it in the name of Christ actively ignore or disbelieve its presence/existence.
The very fact that the demon can touch the man proves that he is not a true believer, as the Bible repeatedly states that all those who truly repent and trust in Jesus are guarded by the Holy Spirit, meaning that the only way a demon can reach you is through temptations and lies.
It's an interesting scene with far more depth than many people realize.
Actually, that guy sold his soul. He is an absolute true believer, but doesn't care.
No. Actually, demons are more dangerous if you are closer to god, because they are more tangible to aeone closer to the the Spiritual side of things. The good news is you can hurt them, as can the angels that are more likely to defend you.
@orionar2461
No, the Holy Spirit protects the true believers of Jesus Christ from the direct danger of demons.
Always knew Benjamin Linus had a demon.
Scrolling for this comment 😂😂😂. We all knew Ben had a demon called himself.
finally someone mentioning lost!
Is there a demon in this room now?
Demon sniffing his neck: nice cologne mate.
The guy asking knows the demon is there as he is working with them. In fact he is the one accusing her of 'decline' to try and get rid of her because she is their biggest adversary.
When you’re calling comes from god.there is no doubt.🙌
I know this is pretend but I think its a great example about how the devil and sin and demons actually work! The subtle details are astounding to me
She totally kicks ass. I love her ❤❤
A crazy woman seeing this and a woman that had blessed sight are two different things when a woman has a certain power to tell men off especially when it’s spoken and brought out in pure faith knowing that it’s there and manifesting it has a sway to it
Of course, Zachariah is on the priestly council. 😅
He is a high ranking angel after all.
This show is amazing! I love her character she doesn’t bow down to anyone, specially Demons
Yes!!!! The demon took over my body at the nursing home I worked in! I could feel his air from his nostrils comming out of my nostrils and when he stepped I stepped. I cry now feeling so help less!!! The phrase said Jesus I trust in you! There no one to run to nowhere to hide from the demons!Thankyou Jesus! I trust in you!!!!❤
His name is George and he is a very nice demon once he understands you can hurt him just as badly as he can hurt you. 😅😂
How can you hurt him?
@@hannabanana592 he makes his victims think they are paralyzed and can't do anything. Once they figure out it is a dream that they control, they can easily hurt him and he is no longer so confident.

Okay, so the Sis. Need's her own spin-off!
He's a chill demon
They're exactly very much around especially when you open the door for them through direct and indirect invitation.
Demons exist. But they’re existence proves what they would have you forget. God exists!
I had one blow warm cigarette smoke in my face once. 😮 I jumped up and turned on the light no one was in the house but me and the doors were locked.
@@gabrielwashington4245 the person that delivered you that concept was 100% right.
