I have the same bag but in small size for about a year. I tend to tie the straps all the time, so I did notice some bubbles of air within the straps, like the leather started to unglue :(. I decided to keep my tote tied all the time as it‘s more comfortable for me. I also hope that it will reduce the damage to the straps.
Thanks for the feedback on the straps (and I’m sorry you’re experiencing that). Have you tried contacting Celine to see if they could repair it? When I spoke to an SA instore, they mentioned spa/repair services were free (??) in the first year.

Do you notice any “lint” or tiny hairs coming off and getting on things like your laptop, books, etc? I was trying to use this as a work bag but the tiny hairs getting all over my things got really annoying :/
Nothing on my laptop (but I have an organizer, so only part of it touches the interior); however, if I have something in fabric on the inside, it can pick up lint (but it’s not all the time).
Grey. I looked at my wardrobe and based my decision on what would coordinate with more items. Since I tend to wear more darker colors (black, grey, jewel tones), the grey was a nice neutral. If you’re similar, I’d vote grey; but if you wear lighter colors or more beige/tan neutrals, I’d probably lean towards the taupe. Good luck with your decision 🍀
I never put any of these bags on the dirty floors of planes, cars, restaurants etc. I always carry a large inexpensive shopping tote that I can put my bag in on the plane then stuff away otherwise.
I could see doing that with smaller bags; however, with this tote, it’s pretty big and using a separate bag to put it in somewhat defeats the purpose (but to each their own). The leather on this bag is phenomenal and can stand up to normal use and when needed, leather cleaner is your best friend 😀
I have the small and I think this is best designer purchase I have ever made. The quality is perfection.
