ARs were incompetent and using Kukis for counter insurgencies just like the British used them to control the indigenous folks. When insurgencies were at its lowest point in the meitei areas in the last 10-15 years and AFSPA was removed, the AR and Kuki militants were still exchanging favours to each other and so is true during the conflict. 30,000 acres of poppy cultivations in Manipur were happening in Manipur right under their nose. And guess what? Who helped the Kukis write the Anglo Kuki war narrative book? Biased central forces like the AR need to be removed first to gain trust on both sides just like Kukis demanding removal of CM Biren.
