@@TheSkiffWanderer In the 50’s as a kid I spent many weeks every year down Bayou Dularge at our camp on westside of bayou with Mud Lake to the west out the backdoor. My Dad always caught our crabs from Mud Lake. My job as the oldest kid was to monitor my Dad to get the signal for mom to start boiling the water. Mom would also fry the redfish Dad had caught initially coming in from the Theriot landing. The only food we brought was dry navy beans & rice. Otherwise if we didn’t catch we didn’t eat anything but beans and rice.
I have the same skiff, but with a power pole. I don't trust just the power pole when I get out and wade. In that situation, what's the smallest anchor you'd be comfortable using in combination w the power pole in shallow water? Trying to save hatch space.
I keep a 13lb danforth anchor in the skiff at all times. If you’re going to keep an anchor in the boat (which you should) I’d recommend having one that will hold the boat in any worst case scenario situations. I hardly notice my anchor in the bow hatch. Sorry, I know that might not be quite the answer you’re looking for, but at the end of the day the Merchant Mariner in me takes over before the fisherman when it comes to safety gear.
We shouldn’t run skinny? And you don’t know how skinny? This is Texas my guy we need to know how skinny she runs and how skinny she gets up on plane . This walk through let me down me lol😂
Before I bought this one, nope. Since I've bought it though I've been on a lot of different ones, and there has only been one skiff I've been on that I wish I had bought....a Sabine Carbon
It generally stays relatively cool. Not enough that it’s ever bothered me at all. Definitely don’t regret not having seadek there. If the aluminum is a bit warm, the seadek is too and that’s a decent sign it’s too hot on the flats for fish
Hey guys, he doesn’t actually do a walk through… just sits there and says a bunch of nothing while adding clips of random shots of the boat. ANNOYING AF! Maybe call the video what the video actually is.
great video - sabine is on my upgrade list
100% recommend! Let me know if you have questions!
Nice boat !!
Aluminum is by far the best material for a shallow water boat, period!
Hell yeah been waiting on this one!
Thank you so much!
Dude 5 comments! No, thank you. Shoot me a message on IG so I can send you a SW thank you gift

awesome walk through and review. buying my first Skiff when as soon as i can sell my Majek and this video made me certain on buying a Sabine.
Welcome to the Sabine family!!!
The wanderer is a phenomenal boat!
Duck blind?!?! You need to hit me up next season for the everglades! Ankona vs Sabine!
Excuse my Foul Mouth! That was such an epic fish
One of my favorite moments on the water
How is this boat with a tiller? If you had to regularly run an hour or more to get to your spots, would you get a center console instead of a tiller?
I love having the tiller other than when I make long runs. If you were running that far, I’d recommend considering a console.

I use a second stake out pole and tie the bow rope to it as well

How much was the boat?
Did you own, or try any other skiffs before you settled on this one?

@@TheSkiffWanderer what are your reasons for mentioning that?
How much heat builds up on the gunnels during the hottest summer days? Do you wish you had seadek on the gunnels?
It generally stays relatively cool. Not enough that it’s ever bothered me at all. Definitely don’t regret not having seadek there. If the aluminum is a bit warm, the seadek is too and that’s a decent sign it’s too hot on the flats for fish
Whats the weight on these? It wasn't listed on the website, which is weird the company is actually "Ultralight Boatworks LLC".
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I do know it’s the same as any fiberglass skiff on the market.
As it turns out 3 inches is WAYYYY deeper than she thought it was !
Ok the easiest joke a la the office.....that's what she said
How the hell does it take 34 minutes to walk through a skiff?
I get asked a lot of questions about the skiff. Tried to answer as many of these as I could with personal experiences and honest feedback

disrespectful... a whole video of you chattin
Sorry. I get asked a lot of questions about the skiff and I wanted to answer as many as possible with personal experiences.
maybe because he actually talked about the boat and didnt just say "i love my boat, its the best ever. heres some fish i caught on it"
That’s you buddy
The title is a little deceiving. "Walk through" means outside with the boat describing things on it.
